- JayceThey called me and I missed it so I called back. Once I did it immediately asked for the numbers of "my card" so I ignored it and after 3 or 4 times of it asking it "sent me to a representative" they also asked for my card. I asked why they called this number. I gave them my number. They read it back and asked if it was alright. I stayed silent [Never say yes]. They also asked for my name. I told them it was Jayce (I didn't tell them any more). They said their was no calls to my number. They asked if their was anything else and I said no.

- scoots replies to Path docthis is a real Chase number. I got a call from them and I told the lady that I would call back to confirm. She knew the last few charges from the card. I called back the same number, and I was transfered back to them. There was fraud on my card. This number is 100% legit!!!!!!!!
- TESSI received a call from this number today 12.17.18. She said her name is Charlina, and needs to verify something on my Chase card. She even gave a number to call 866-582-70130 ext 6585127. That's a lot of number for a phone and extension. I know right away, it's a SCAM.

- Cyndy replies to Path docSame for me... This was Chase bank confirming a Visa charge to my account.
- dlsDid not answer the call and no message was left. Blocked the number.

- JaneMissed a call after applying for a card with Chase, called back and automated voice requested account number; no option for service
- Caller: Chase
- Call type: Valid
- Billie replies to AndyI received the same message today and did the same thing. They told me that they did not call me.
- KimberlyThis number called me and left a message saying that they were from "Chase Bank Prevention Department" calling on regards of Amazon Prime and wanting to verify information. The woman on the phone, Rebecca, said to call her back at a number that was different than the one she had called from (this number was apparently 1-800-278-830 -- not a real number) and then gave me a 12-digit number that I needed to use when I called them back to verify my information. She repeated this number, and the second time she said it, it was a little different than the first. I felt suspicious and called my bank directly from the back of my card, and they confirmed that this was indeed a scam and not a number of theirs. I'm glad I listened to my instincts!

- Tammy| 1 replyReading the discrepancies in this post now I'm paranoid. I, too called Chase but wouldn't give my SS#. I told her what questions I was asked and she said those are ones they commonly ask.
With Discover, I have told them I wanted to verify and would call them back. They've always been legit.- Caller: Chase

- B-Edwards replies to TammyDid you call Chase on a number that you KNOW is correct? If this is about a credit or debit card, the number on the back of your card is where you start. There will be the correct contact numbers on your statement that comes in the mail.
If you are calling a number you know is correct and that you dial for yourself, I think it would be safe to confirm info about your account in order to get your questions asked and answered.
The trouble comes if you answer an incoming call and are asked too many questions that Chase should already have the answers to. The numbers that appear in your Caller ID can be faked. So...Incoming calls, be careful. Hang up, call Chase on a number you know is good. - post pending moderator approval

- Luis replies to Renee SiegelI received 2 calls on my cell phone and 1 at the home phone. Claiming to be with Chase's Fraud department, calling about my Chase Marriott card. The funny thing is I don't have any account with Chase, especially for a Marriott card. I called them back and of course asked for my name, card number and SSN. At that point, I yelled at them and told them they were crazy and should stop calling.
- JJThis seems to be legitimate. They did not ask me for a Social or other private etails. They confirmed some purchases only they would know about, and told me they would cancel and reissue my card.

- WindyI called the number on the back of my Chase VISA card, and they said that there was no fraud alert on my account and that the number is being used to obtain account information for fraudulent purposes. If in doubt, call the number on the back of your card, if you have questions. Delete all messages from these calls. Spread the word !
