Report a phone call from 800-955-9060 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- PaulI got a voice mail leaving -800-955-9296 as a call back number. I called the number on the back of my Chase Continental card instead and they confirmed it was a legitimate vm that i had received. Their fraud company did want to clear some charges with me.
- AustinTHIS IS NOT A SCAM. It is a legitimate number of Chase. Because I was suspicious, I called the phone number on the back of my card. I was transferred to the Fraud dept and asked about the reference number I got in the voicemail they left me. She said it was an actual call they had placed because of suspicious activity on my card. They were able to cancel my card number and issue me a new one.
If you ever get suspicious calls like this, you can always call the number on the back of your credit card to verify!- Caller: Chase
- LloydGot a call on this number about suspicious activity on my Chase card. Told them I'd have to check with my wife, and get back to them. Called the number on the back of the card, intending to ask whether this number was valid or not, but they sent me right to the fraud department anyway, and they took care of everything. Before I hung up, they did give me the same number (800-955-9060) as the general line for Chase Fraud Prevention.
- Caller: Chase Fraud Prevention
- Stephen DaedalusI have no clue why some people have said this is a scam, it's not. I got a call saying it was from Chase fraud prevention, but I still called the number on the back of my card. The first thing that happened was that I had to verify activity on my account, because, in fact a hold HAD been put on it.
Still, if you're suspicious, use the number on the back of your card, because you achieve the same end anyway. Whatever you do, don't ignore it, because it means they probably put a hold on your card for security purposes.- Caller: Chase Visa
- Call type: Event reminder
- M replies to maryanaidChase has a call center and there are multiple diffrent phone #'s. The phone # on the back of your card is for Customer Services. The Fraud dept has a diffrent #. Use your brain.
This phone # is valid. They call when somethiong suspicious is going on with your account. And for those of you who say I dont have a Chase account why are they calling me. Did you ever think that some one is commiting ID theft against you and is opening up accounts under your name. People do fraudulent applications all the time with banks. If you get a call from them you need to take this seriously.
If you don t have a chase account go online and get their customer service phone # and call them back. - Vacationing in the IslandsI received a call from this number, did not call back, but called Chase directly. The agent that I spoke with said that there was no suspicious activity on my account, and that the previous phone call was not from Chase. From all appearances, this is a scam. Just protect yourself and call Chase directly.

- DaShaun "Daddy" Jones| 4 repliesHey man, dis be a scam yo. I found a credit card layin on da street so I be chargin a bunch of stuff (you know what I be sayin). Pretty soon dis number be calling me all the time yo. I be like, enuf already, aint even like I stole it. I be finding it. I just be ignoring dis every time dis number be popping up. I have debt collectors call me all da time anyways, dis be just another number I be ignoring.
- ElisabethI received a voice message from this number on both my work number and cell number. The called seemed to need to look up the name of the company she was calling for. This seems like an outsourced service. I called back, but I did not feel comfortable giving them the last four digits of my social.
I called the number on the back of my card instead, and as soon as I entered my info, I got a question related to a recent charge. My account was put on hold because of this suspicious activity.
I believe the number is legit, but you might as well call the number at the back of your card instead, that seems much safer, rather than calling some unknown outsourced service.- Caller: Chase
- identitytheftsucksThis is a complete SCAM. The number that showed up on my caller ID was not blocked or unavailable, but came up as another corporation entirely. Do NOT ever give out your card number or SS number.
Call the number on the back of your card directly if you are worried about fraud.
Sad to say that this activity gets worse with the holidays.....- Caller: Chase Fraud Dept.

- Real Person replies to Path docI got the same message and called the number on my card (not the number they left in the message) and this is definitely a SCAM. I reported it to Chase and they're looking into it.
Scam, scam, scam. Those of you who are posting that this is legitimate should be ashamed of yourselves.
-RP - JimI received this call also and it was legitimate, it was Chase. Don't take my word for it, call the # on the back of your card, they will transfer you to the fraud department, and then give the fraud department the code that they left in the message for you and they will be able to unlock your card. I was traveling overseas and was trying to make an international purchase. Your card won't work if you don't call.
- Caller: Chase
- mclegit-chase fraud prevention. they did not prompt me to put in whole cc info, just last 4 numbers, verified mothers maiden name-and last 4 digits ss number-asked about a couple of charges.
- Caller: chase
- Joe C.Left a message on my work voicemail stating they were from Chase about my Amazon Card (which I do have). Said there were some questionable charges they wanted to check out and that I should call 800-955-9060.
Per the other folks idea here, I called the number instead on the back of my credit card, in other words regular customer service. The gal who answered confirmed that my account was, in fact, on hold, and transferred me over to Security/Fraud.
Ends up there was a $5.60 charge from a casino property. Who steals $5.60? Anyway, looks like I'll get a new card/number because of this.
NOT A FRAUD.- Caller: Chase Amazon
- QuintonHad to do with potential fraud. Although they sounded OK, when they asked for the full card number I said that I was going to go ahead and call the number on the back of the card. Turns out that 800-955-9060 is legit, but nothing wrong with being careful. By the way, it was fraud; someone tried to buy an airline ticket with my card number online. Going to get a new card as a result.

- Tiffany replies to BobIt's definitely a scam if they ask for your credit card or your social security number over the phone.
