Report a phone call from 800-955-9060 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Rob RobesonGot a message from the Chase fraud dept saying to call this number. Called the number on back of my card instead, and there were actual fraudulent charges on my account. I assume the message I got was legit.
- confusedI received a call from this 4809026000...only problem is, from what I'm seeing, this is for credit card fraud. I don't have a credit card.
- Ally replies to TomI got a phone call from a legit # of Chase480-902-6000.
They started to ask me weird questions about some purchases I did in the past 2 days.
Then they asked me "That was in XXX, Is that close to where e you live?"
I asked for a number to call back and got the 800-955-9060.
I called the number of the back of the chase card to be on the safe side, and they told me that that number (800-955-9060) is their fraud department. - SarahI got a call from Lala at home, former home and work. She tried to get information, but it was not a typical Chase fraud check call so I called Chase Customer Service and they had not record of anyone from the company calling me. They said someone could have gotten some of those checks they send every month. She obviously had a lot of my information though.
- SamThis is NOT a scam, but you should _always_ just call the customer service number on the back of your credit card to be safe. If you call the official customer service number, the automated system should already be aware of the fraud flag on your account.
The people on here who are saying this number is fraudulent are paranoid, not very wise, and/or just have nothing better to do than create online controversy.
BOTTOM LINE: Don't ignore this fraud call. Call the customer service number on the back of your credit card.- Caller: Chase
- AnmysYou should NEVER have to give your credit card number to anyone from Chase!!!!!! If it were legit they would NEVER ask for it. They already have it. Duhhh.
- Caller: Said they were chase
- KathyThis is a valid number--I called Chase, and they were contacting me to see if I had made a declined purchase today. I did not. Someone was fraudulently trying to use my account.
- Caller: Chase
- Denise replies to Path docJust called my cc company because I received a call with the same number.
They said it is legit. - JThe number is legitimate. I had charges from a Mac D's on my card from Georgia. I called the number on the back of my card and they said the number was real. They also tried to go to a grocery store but got denied there.
If they ever ask for full social security number it is probably a scam.- Caller: Chase Fraud Department
- John Ryan| 2 repliesThis number is the chase fraud department verified by calling the printed number on the back of my card. This is not a scam 1-800-955-9060

- Steve replies to John Ryan| 1 replyChase Fraud Prevention Department left me a message to call 800-955-9060. They referred to the last four digits of my card number, and they gave me a reference number.
I called the number on the back of my card, instead of 800-955-9060, just to be safe. The automated system asked for the last four digits of my card number. The customer service agent asked for my first and last name, and confirmed the last four digits of my card number. He confirmed that they had just called me, and asked for the reference number. Someone had tried to authorize the card for use with Rhapsody, although really they were probably just trying random card numbers looking for one that was valid. Upon finding one that worked, they were probably planning to use it for other purchases.
At no point was I asked to provide the entire card number or social security number.
It's possible that someone besides Chase could spoof this number on the Caller ID, so I would probably call back rather than take the initial call, but don't take a chance at having to deal with an actual fraudulent charge. If you get a call from Chase, call them back at the number on your card. - Steve replies to SteveOops. My message wasn't a reply to the previous message, it was supposed to just be another reply to the original thread. Hit the wrong button.
- FPThe bottom line is, if you're not sure it's a legit call, then call the company back via a number that you know is legitimate (from the website or the back of the card).
I got a call from this number stating they were the Chase fraud prevention dept.; like a lot of people here, I was unsure if it was real, so I called the number on the back of my card -- it turns out there *was* a fraud inquiry. So not sure if the original call was legitimate, or not but either way you can protect yourself :)- Caller: Chase
- SaraTotally legit number. Chase fraud confirmed with me that I indeed had fraudulent activity and they confirmed with me the address where they were going to send the new credit card.
- Caller: Chase Fraud
- Fraud VigilanteThis is a legitimate Chase number.
My mother has a Chase credit card. A representative from Chase called informing her that they cancelled her card and was sending her a new one because there was suspicious activity. The transaction was for $12. (Note, however, that some scammers will charge a small amount on a card to test if the credit card company catches the suspicious activity. If they don't, a larger amount will later be charged.) I cautioned my mother not to give personal information and instead ask for the alleged Chase representative's number. I then advised my mother to call the number on the back of her card. Chase verified the authenticity of the 800 number.- Caller: Chase

This is the number they gave me to report any fraudulent charges.- Caller: Chase
- Renee Siegel| 1 replyI received a call from this number identifying themselves as Chase Fraud Alert.
- Bob MapleThis number really is Chase.
But there is nothing wrong with being suspicious and calling the number on the back of your card to confirm.
I had two charges that drew a red flag, one was for less that $1 with a company I have never heard of and the other was for a company I normally do business with so I am not sure what tipped Chase off but I'm glad they were tipped off.- Caller: Chase Bank
- picorianIts a legit message. Regardless, you should ALWAYS just call the CC company back using the number on their actual car.
- RCGot a call today about fraud alert on my Chase card....I called and they immediately asked for my credit card number....I entered a bogus number because I don't have a Chase card...it sent me to a customer rep who couldn't give me any information to verify that they are legitimate...
SCAM ALERT.- Caller: Chase
