- Renee Siegel| 1 replyI received a call from this number identifying themselves as Chase Fraud Alert.
- Bob MapleThis number really is Chase.
But there is nothing wrong with being suspicious and calling the number on the back of your card to confirm.
I had two charges that drew a red flag, one was for less that $1 with a company I have never heard of and the other was for a company I normally do business with so I am not sure what tipped Chase off but I'm glad they were tipped off.- Caller: Chase Bank
- picorianIts a legit message. Regardless, you should ALWAYS just call the CC company back using the number on their actual car.
- RCGot a call today about fraud alert on my Chase card....I called and they immediately asked for my credit card number....I entered a bogus number because I don't have a Chase card...it sent me to a customer rep who couldn't give me any information to verify that they are legitimate...
SCAM ALERT.- Caller: Chase
- Frank replies to TomSorry, Tom. I received a call from that number this morning. I didn't call that number, but called Chase directly, using the phone number on the back of my credit card. When I read them the 1 800 955 9060 number, they themselves confirmed that this is a legitamate number. I heard it from the horse's mouth. It IS their fraud department number. When in doubt, call the credit card company to confirm.
- GabrianneThis is not a scam. I received a call from that number on my voice mail. They said it was Chase, but I am always worried about scams so I called the number on the back of my card. The customer service rep told me that my file was marked and that someone from Chase had indeed called me. There were two fraudulent charges on my credit card. My card was promptly cancelled and a new one was issued. MY ADVICE--IF YOU GET A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER, JUST CALL THE NUMBER ON THE BACK OF YOUR CARD SO THAT YOU KNOW IT IS NOT A SCAM.
- JasonI received a message from this number to contact them regarding suspicious activity on my card. They cancelled my card and told me they would issue me a new one. I then called the number on the back of my card. When I entered my card number, I was told it had been cancelled and was transferred to a customer service rep. I asked him a few questions to make sure the card had indeed been cancelled and it had. He verified who I spoke to earlier and told me the time frame when I could expect my card. So, if I get my card in the next few days as they said I would, I'd say all is good.

- Please Be Advised| 1 replyWhat ever happened to our Beloved Country -- Originally built on Honesty and Hard Work?!
Yes, it is all related.
Any call referencing this number [1-800-955-9060] is BOGUS = a SCAM.
The Mrs. and I called Chase, using the number on the 'back of the card', this afternoon. The Chase Representative courteously and professionally verified what I had already researched online =
1. "There has been NO UNUSUAL ACTIVITY on my account."
2. "The 1-800-955-9060 IS NOT a valid Chase phone number."
Do your own research.
I am so sorry to restate this: "TRUST NO ONE" = trust no person...
i am so happy to restate this: <MAKE GOD FIRST>- Caller: "Chase Fraud Protection"
- SusanI can not sure who si this company or person?
- Caller: Chase banl
- ChristinThey called me telling me that there was suspicious activity on my dad's credit card. They told my dad to call this number back with his credit card number ready. This is odd considering they have seen this "suspicious activity" they would already know the account info. Very suspicious. Pretty sure it's fraud/identity theft.
- Caller: No company given
- Dave HI don't believe this is a scam, but I find it very odd the way they are doing business.
I got a call from a Phoenix, AZ number saying they were the Chase Fraud Dept. and that I should call 1800-955-9060 and have my credit card ready. RED FLAG! So I called back and they immediately asked for my credit card number. Why would they do this? They already have my credit card number! Really weird. I asked them what they were calling about and the guy basically said that I should just call the main Chase number on the back of my card. So I hung up and I did. Sounds like they get a lot of people calling who are suspicious about the way they are handling the fraud calls, so why don't they change it? I don't get it.
Anyway I called Chase's number on the back of my card and they DIDN'T need to ask me for my credit card #, but they did confirm some suspicious activity on my account. Ended up having to cancel my credit card and get a new one.
So, in conclusion, it doesn't appear to be a scam, but it is very weird the way they went about notifying me.- Caller: Chase
- Andy| 1 replyLike many others, I got a voicemail from this number claiming to be fraud prevention and thought it was weird that they left a "reference number". I called the number on the back of my credit card and told them about it. They verified that they did try to contact me and asked for my reference number. That being said, I will still always call the number on the back of my card.
- JamesThis is not a scam. This is Chase Fraud Services.
- Caller: Chase
- Gyryth replies to jonIf it was legit, they would NEVER ask for the 3 digit number on your card. That's rule #1.
Makes me wonder if YOU're legit! - BewilderedI got a call from this number about "fraudulent activity" on a United Mileage Plus credit card that I don't even have. "Linda" told me the last four digits of this credit card and asked me to return the call. After reading these posts, I won't be returning her call.
- Caller: United Mileage Plus
- DanNot a scam for me. It's the number for Chase Fraud dept. Credit card was compromised. I didn't trust the number so I called the number on the back of my card.
- Caller: Chase
- ZachI have a Southwest Airlines Visa and this was the Fraud Prevention Department calling to verify a purchase that set off the fraud prevention red flag. Nothing to see here folks, though you should always call and verify by calling the number on the back of your card.
- Caller: Visa
- DianaI got a call from them too. When I returned the call, the answering system said they were Chase Fraud Alert. I didn't give any information they requested and the woman was able to tell me what my purchases were. I'm going to call the Chase number on the back of my card to verify.
- 855 515 7512Mrs. Moyer threatened to have a Dallas County Processor serve me papers on my job. She says that her Company's name is Creditor. Previously, the company Accurate made the same threat from a different number. Confidential information was given to employer. I reported them to Dallas County.
- Caller: Creditor previously Accurate
- Call type: Debt collector
- DaveI got messages from this number left to my work and cell phones. They said they were from Chase Fraud Prevention. To be safe, I called the number on the back of my card instead. They only asked me for the last 4 digits of my card. They confirmed that my card was part of a database that may have been compromised, and that they were sending me a new card with a new number. They reviewed some recent charges (which all checked out ok) and told me to destroy the card. My new card should arrive within two days.
