Report a phone call from 800-955-9060 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- HYThe number I got from the voice message left by the Fraud Prevention agent was 1-800-955-9069. I called this number, but reached a short recorded message talking about 1-800-482-TALK and it went disconnected. I then called the number on the back of my CHASE VISA, 1-800-945-2000. The lady who answered my call said that it was really from them and she was glad that a cardholder was being extra careful about this. (If the Fraud Prevention just asks cardholders to call the number on the back of their card, would that be easier and safter?)
- HYWhat I wanted to say was: "If the Fraud Prevention just asks cardholders to call the number on the back of their card, WOULDN'T that be easier and safter?" BTW, I'm glad that I came to this site and read some very good advice.
- Chase Visa CustomerThis is a good number. If you are worried about it however, just call the number on the back of your card and ask to be transferred to fraud services.
- Caller: Chase Visa
- Another worrier. My son (who is away at college) uses my card. He is the only one who uses this particular card. I was called and asked to verify a charge which I couldn't verify because I didn't know for certain that he'd made it. I told them I would verify the charge, and was given this number to call back once I had verified the charge with him, which I did.
It is a legitimate number. I'm so glad I took care of this right away, because Chase had blocked the card from further usage until I confirmed that the charge in question was legitimate. - MaggieThis is a legitimate phone number for JP Morgan Chase Fraud Operations. It is NOT A SCAM!!!!!
- Caller: Chase
- BubbaI was left a message to call back 800-955-9060 to verify purchased made with a Chase Visa credit card. The caller ID showed the originating call was from 224-222-5000.
Using the advice here, I called the number on the back of my card instead and it turned out to be a legitimate concern! After verifying some info, I was able to use the card again.- Caller: Chase
- GordonWe got a call from this number 800-955-9060. You have to enter the account number first and then you also need give the SSN. We don't have any business with the company. Any company shouldn't do business like this. We were cheated by it. It must be a scam.
Could somebody find out what this company is? And this company that has tel 8900-955-9060 should let the customer know who they ar and what is their website, if it is a legal company. - PREV EMPLOYEEIT IS A VALID NUMBER I USE TO WORK FOR CHASE FRAUD DEPT.....
- millyit is NOT a scam!
the number 480-902-6000 called me and left me a message about possible fraudulent activity, and to call the number 800-955-9060.
So I did. and after giving them TOO much information, i started to wonder "wow am i being an idiot! what if this isn't a legit number?"
So after I got off the phone with 955-9060, I called the number on the back of my card. I asked the representative if that number that called me was legit. She said: "Yeah, it is. There's info in my computer that says we talked to you earlier today."
Phew! so there it is...
again, NOT a scam! - NickThis is not a scam. I got a letter that looked like the email phishing schemes saying there was potentially fraudulent activity on my card, and this set off a red flag, but this indeed chase.
- DJI received a letter in the mail from Chase regarding fraudelent activity that asked me to call 800-955-9060. I thought it might be a scam so I called the # on the back of my credit card (800-792-0001). They forwarded me to the fraud detection dep't and I did indeed have a fraudulent charge. While the 800-955-9060 is probably legitimate, personally I would never call a phone # that isn't on the back of my credit card.
- Jim IGot a call/message on my answering machine from this number. This was not a scam for me. However I too was suspicious since the caller spoke fast, broken english and it took me two or three times listening to the message to get the number. (Which is why I checked here.) I agree with earlier writers to always call the number on the back of your credit card, which I did and there indeed was an issue with my Chase Visa that I had to handle about an on-line purchase. (By the way I verified with them that this number was correct.)
- JaneIt is legitimate. I called the number on my card and they confirmed that there was suspicious activity on my account.

- BillI received a call on my home line and then my cell from the same person at 224/222-5000 advising they were with Chase Fraud and to call 800/955-9060 about suspicious activity. I called and the auto-prompter asked for the last four digits of the card and then the last four of my SSN. From there, I was transferred to a live person who asked me to confirm a few pieces of info but never asked me to provide the *full* card number or SSN. From there they pulled up my account and asked me about three of my past charges, one of which was just declined about 24 hours ago. They *gave me* the details of the declined charge as well as the other two charges and asked if I knew about all of them. So, I'm sure this is not a scam number.
- deanit is a legit number, and i got a real fraud dept call in which they gave it to me. now there may be scams out there that give this number as a callback, so it's no big deal to just tell em okay you'll call em back and use the number on the back of your card. you can also go in online to verify what's going on, chase had wiped the account activity when they verified fraud with us and they said this was SOP. good work chase!
- Caller: chase
- AnonymousGot the same phone message directing me to 800-955-9060 - the message indicated that there was possible fraudulent activity on my card...called the number on the back of my card instead and got a major run around - yes, they had called - no, it wasn't about fraudulent activity - it was to verify information - on a credit card that I had been using since 1990 - they couldn't verify may date of birth, declined to answer any questions about why they would indicate possible fraudulent activity on the card - stated that they would call back after an "investigation" and then terminated the call...of course, the langauge barrier didn't help...I won't hold my breath waiting for their call and may just cancel the card....
