I too had a call from this number, I spoke to Travis, claiming he was from Ebay, and that he wanted to help me with my selling on Ebay.  I said, no thank you, I'm not interested.  Then his voice got shaky and he said, that is it ok to email you, I said, yes, you can email me.  But I didn't receive an email from him.

I just got a call from there also & they said they would send me an email regarding my account.  I haven't checked for it yet, but am surprised that this may not be Ebay!!

Just received a call from this number who was looking for a Steven.  I told her that she had the wrong number.  They immediately called back and I told her she still had the wrong number and that it was 10:20 p.m. my time.  She apologized but said that she had been talking to Steven a little while ago.  I guess Steven didn't want to talk with them anymore and gave them my number! What a pain.

I got a call from this number and didn't answer. After coming to this site, I read about how could be from eBay so I checked my email and I got a notice from them so this is indeed a eBay number

This is second time

My wife got a phone call this morning for me. The woman stated that she was from eBay and could only talk to me. Of course her number showed up as 801-545-1800. It's almost unbelieveable that people get away with this. Since it was from Utah, it just might be the Mittster trying to squeeze money out for his campaign.

I did not answer. I look at the caller ID, it showed ebay inc, the number was
8015451800. Then I look for information on this number, I found this website.

Missed call.  Left 3 sec voicemail with no sound  (blank voicemail)

I called eBay in reference to this person calling me. they asked for my email address the first time which i said dont you already have it on file? so i gave them my junk email that is not attached to any of my accounts . this is how i know its fraud. they called me back again 6 months later and had the same email on file both times i contacted eBay and asked if they were doing out going calls to its members and i gave them the number which they say IS NOT PART OF EBAY so yes this is a 100% scam  to get your email address that is attached to your eBay account and or to get your pay-pal email which some used the same email  address . As eBay says they will only send you emails in your message center or direct to your email no calls to your house .

I do NOT need the extra stress of unwanted time spent
on Commercial or promotional calls.

Got a call from this number 3 times in a 3 hour period; no message; I dont pick up out of habit on unknown numbers

Best way to figure this out for yourself, go to Ebay.com - get a one time phone password (in contact us) and call them yourself. They will tell you if you have any issues warranting your attention; or clarification.

Ebay verified that I had no problems with my account and that there should be no reason to be contacting me.

Either way; now I hope they call me back, so if they do say I have a problem, I can grill them.

Thay called me 2 times and no recall......

I received a call from this number, after hearing her out for a few minutes I asked for her number to call her back when I had time.  She hung up :(

This same unidentified #  has called 4 times , and I had been talking with  ebay today as well . No message was left any of 4 times .

I was called by this number - which is close to ebay's 801 number - but not it, Soooo, I called ebay, spoke to a very nice guy who sent me to the fraud dept., very nice lady told me they'd been getting calls about this number for YEARS. She also told me to tell the person calling to give you a call back number where they can be reached. The won't - because it is a SCAM.

Bottom line - do not give any information to any one you don't know~

...and anyone who's bidding on ebay can get your contact info.

Thsi si a LEGITIMATE Call from EBAY.  Some of you upeople are scared of your own shadow.  I get these calls from EBAY about once every 4 or 5 months letting me know about changes they've done for all the sellers out there to protect them from scammers who buy on EBAY.  I do about 40,000 sales each year so I'm just a medium seller and there's ton more larger sellers than me but I can assure you people that it is infact EBAY so stop the fear mongering telling people it's scammers.  It is NOT.

If you're too chicken shat to answer the phone then don't scardie cat ane while you're a t it why don't you just stay in your house and never come out and never go anywhere because God forbid, someone tries to talk to you about something innocent.

If you call the number you'll reach Ebay incorporated,  No big deal.

This lady called and asked my ebay username and what i had for sail to verify that I was who was selling these things but it was very odd.

This # has been calling me for like a month. I've been ignoring it. Never leaves a message. Finally answer it to find out what it is. Lady says she is from EBay and asks me to verify my name and email. I think she should verify she's really from EBay, first!
