- AJI received a call from this number, and the representative identified herself from half.com (ebay.com). I had sent them an e-mail the previous day requesting help with my account. This is a legit number she had detailed information about my account and was able to assist me without me providing any sensitive information.
- Caller: Half.com
- oldmanCall from EBay. I contacted them a couple days ago about a transaction. This was a followup call, which is appreciated. Maybe they should get some caller-id on this number. "Out-of-area" came up on my phone (landline)

- Bluff Caller replies to deleted postVirgins have the most elaborate fairy tales, well done!
- meThey called twice. The first time I didn't answer. They did not leave a message. The second time they called I answered. Some female yammering on about ebay (wasn't paying attention to her) and asked if I had a few minutes to answer questions. I told her no. She was insistent about speaking with her asking if she could call back on different days/times. Told her no. She asked if she could email me the info, I said sure. Then she proceeded to blurt out my email address, which I did not give her. I called ebay and reported her. I also changed my email, ebay and paypal passwords. THIS IS A SCAMMER! NOT EBAY! They are calling out of southern utah. Ebay would not call you out of the blue. They only call you if you requested that they do so after contacting them first.
- Caller: ebay spoof
- Cathy in St. LouisI got a call from this number yesterday. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number. They left a message - it was from eBay, letting me know the advantages of opening an eBay store. It seems totally legit - I too am puzzled that so many people think this is a scam. They didn't ask for any personal information or for me to call back - it is just the typical sales call.

- huh?Called and left a silent voice message. Thumbs down!
- Joe User801-545-1800 seems to be an Ebay number, however a hacking scammer has programmed his/her phone with the same number. It seems that somebody has stolen personal info from Ebay such as e-mail accounts and phone numbers. Be very very careful and don't give out any information.

- Count Monster Rod VonHugensteinSome chick called and said she wanted to talk about something on ebay. . and I said "How about we talk about you sitting on my huge dong and impaling yourself to the hilt!!???" She said well just how big is it. . . I told her a full 10 3/4" and it is really thick too!! She said she didn't believe me so I texted her a picture of it next to a ruler. . .. she said she was going to the bathroom to diddle herself and she would be thinking of my big sausage!!!!

- Chuck NerisI received a call from the fraudulent number +1 801-545-1800 and a guy with questionable voice said he was from eBay Frauds department and that someone was buying a Range Rover ....from my eBay account and they had returned my money since they believed I wasn't the one. He asked me to confirm my email and that I should change my password. I told the guy that no one can hack into my account. He said any way he was still going to send an email to me. I told him off. However when I checked my email, there was an email from these guys asking me to click on a link to change my password. When I looked and read indepth I observed that they had copied eBay original prints and inserted a killer link which when you do click on will copy all your details including bank passwords from your computer or phone to theirs. And within minutes you would have lost ALL your money from your account.
Do not click on any link..They start with a message that sounds real. They are Fraudsters.- Caller: Accounts/ Frauds Department of eBay
- Paul M.Claimed to be from eBay and that I should check my messages. Do NOT fall for this persons' lies, it is a phishing scam.

- H. AshLegit call from eBay. Call was to inform me of the new Promoted Listings. Call went to voicemail & a detailed message regarding the promo was left. No request for info from me. Caller used my name as I have specifically listed with the company (a unique name for eBay only). THIS IS NOT A SCAM CALL

- KATHLEENGot a call from this # at 11:45 last night, 9/21. I honestly don't think Ebay would call so late...must be a time difference? Could barely understand message left; did not call # back. Currently in middle of SCAM, from Post on Craig's List, leading to Fraudulent Ebay Transaction. Now I look up every number BEFORE answering or calling back...sad but true! Some say this IS a REAL Ebay#, some not...I can't say for sure, but BEWARE!

- Scammed in LondonEveryone - I've just had 3 missed calls from this number just when I was on the phone to ebay changing my password, having discovered that my account was hacked this morning! Someone changed my address, email and password and bought items to be shipped to Russia. Interestingly the phone calls came in exactly when they'd have got an email telling them the hack was discovered. My advice to anyone who gets a call from this number is to check your ebay account hasn't been hacked! Creepy indeed.
