got a call do not recognize

I got a call a minute ago from this number and there was an automatic message that said that I have a transaction problem reported by a customer. There was nothing in my eBay messages section or my email about it.

I have received multiple calls from this number. It is a scam. They just don't give up.

They just called again. It was an automated call.

 Its a Scam! Someone's hacking or trying to hack your account.  they can get your phone number off ebay. Then call you trying to get you to give them your pass word to your ebay or paypal accounts.   WARNING! Beware.  GET A REAL JOB Scamming [***].  Think about it.  What is there a lot of in Salt Lake City?   Turn this number over to your States Law Office.

First of all I opened a store in Ebay a month ago.

5 minutes ago I received a call from that phone number. The person on the phone was asking me if I want to switch my account from INDIVIDUAL to STORE subscription! I said I'm not interested than he asked my personal information email address so that he can send me the information about the subscriptions! and you all have to know that Ebay has our email addresses and they are sending emails to your email addresses almost each week!
SO IT'S DEFINITELY A SCAM!!!

Just got a call from this number, did not answer as I truly missed it.  However...this comment is about it appears this number has been around for the last 3 years judging by the comments left here, 6 pages worth from April 2009-10 or so.  Since I didn't pick up I have no evidence to add, but I can almost state I remember this number from old calls to me before and I may go as far as 70% it was eBay related.  If memory serves me when I did take the call or a message was left (in this call none was left) it was some simple or small talk news from eBay.  I truly hope this helps, but it is more of help you folks have left your information...thank you all for using these "Who's Calling" pages.

I got three calls today, supposedly from this number.  The first call was unintelligible.  I pressed "ignore" on  the second call immediately.  But the third call came while I was away.  The caller was an eBay scammer complaining that I left negative feedback for him.  He is a bad case--in fourteen years on eBay, I've only left negative feedback twice.  He is located in Arlington, Virginia, but obviously has some software for his IP line which allows him to simulate calls from any number he wants, so this call came in from Utah.  He can bypass my ability to block his calls.   I have already blocked several of his numbers.  I have now blocked this one, too, but I bet he will be back tomorrow with another number, or maybe half a dozen.   Apparently, this number is golden for scammers and fraudsters of all types, but very good for eBay scams because so many people know that it is a valid eBay number.

Supposed eBay call. Mainly a pest call third one in two days

This phone number called a phone belonging to someone in my family who is under 18 and does not even have an email account or any other sort of internet account. The did not leave a message but I am sure it must be something shady as again the person they were trying to contact has no internet presence and only selected friends and family have that phone number. It is also registered to the Do Not Call database.

i don't even have ebay why would they call me? no i won't give you my scam!

This is a scam and eBay needs to get it fixed.

These lowlifes called me while I was mowing my lawn.  Very unprofessional.

I got two calls from this number today, about 3 hours apart. I ignored them both, since I generally do not answer calls from numbers that I don't recognize. The second time, they left a message, and based upon the content of the message, I have little doubt this was a legit eBay call. (I thought that I had any phone communications blocked, but a quick check revealed there was one phone communications option turned on; it's now off.)

Anyway, I just wanted to update this log... You really have to beware, because it seems like eBay has not taken steps to change their outgoing number and the scammers/spoofers/phishers know it's a good one to steal.

Yes this number is ebay. I called in and had an extremely long wait time to reach a rep. They now have an option where the rep can call you when available rather than you hold. This is the # they called back from.

Just  a heads up...after seeing some of these comments are 4 years old...in Nov. 2013 these guys are still at it.
I had to look here to get then scivy on this, but there on to me now, left no message....sometimes I hate the phone.

I received a phone call 5-10 times a day which says that they are coming from eBay. 801-545-1800.  I am harrassed.

801.545.1800 has found it's ay into my phone as well....

I just had a call from this number too. It disconnected before I could speak. I have been calling Ebay about some routine admin issues on my account so suspect it must be a genuine Ebay number (given all the other comments posted here).
