I was charged for 9 calls to 81002 without any knowledge about it.  How do I sort it out and who called?

Got onto them today after receiving yet another text and finding another £4.50 .  She said he has put a block on and will refund all my money and when I said I was a pensioner said they didn't allow pensioners to join.  Huh!

On Sunday mornings, just after eleven o'clock I receive three texts from 81002. The content is always the same, in essence the message asks, do I want to enter a competition. I just delete them.

I've been getting texts from 81002 every Wednesday for the past 9 weeks. They come from Play'nWin (never heard of them before) and they send 3 texts in quick succession. Having read the first one,but not replied, I just delete them straight away. However, I've now discovered that I have been charged £1.25 for each text - a total of £33.75 so far. I'll take the advice above and try texting STOP ALL to 81002 and see what happens next Wednesday. Is there any way I can get my money refunded?

I was charged a total of £33.75 for texts from 81002. Like you, I am a pensioner and can't afford to lose money like this. I texted STOP ALL last night, and called 08452251807 this morning. I selected 2 to speak to customer services. The lady (American) told me I had unsubscribed. I said I had never subscribed in the first place, so that was stealing. She said I must have done a survey that required entering my mobile number. I said I didn't recall doing that, but even if I had, it didn't give them the right to bombard me with texts and charge me for them. She said they would send me a full refund by cheque, and it would take about 7 days. I asked how they would know my name and address, and she said she'd get that later. I insisted on giving it now. So we'll have to wait and see if it happens. I'll let you know.

Keep getting blocks of 3 text messages from Play N Win.  They mostly arrive at 11.00 am on a Thursday.  So far I have just ignored them and deleted the conversation (ie all texts from 81002) from my phone.  My phone is a company phone and I have just found out from my boss that each text is costing £1.50.  This ties in with a comment I have just read saying that it's costing £4.50 per week. I don't know how this started, although my 9 year old daughter has until now been allowed to play games on my phone.  This has to stop.  On the bill the number mostly appears as 700035914, and I have also got some from 81099 that cost £1.00 each.

Have just called the 08452251807 help number that is shown on the bottom of the 3rd text.  There is the automated option to un-subscribe, which I did and then you can wait to speak to someone.  I got through to some young bloke (also American) who explained that I had done a survey that offered a chance to win an iPad and had given my mobile number.  I don't remember this.  I also make sure I just delete anything like this that arrives on my phone or PC.  I have been told I will be refunded by cheque and gave my home address but refused to give my email address.  I was also told that 81099 is a different "service provider".  We'll see what happens.  I'm still going to ask my network to block the number.

this has been happening to me also, I will not put my mobile number on anything now.  02 and the likes should warn about this but instead they rub their greedy hands with glee each time one of us gets caught this way.  Moguls like this should be looked into for their greed and underhand way they work.

Just ring them on 01223590555 and explain your going to take this further if they dont stop and demand FULL REFUND. they will be polite and try and say you subscribed to there service but will offer you a cheque for the full costs and block further calls from them.
