My wife uses PAY *& GO at 02 and I pay Monthly Zingtones took £11 off her account and after loads of contact with O2 they changed the chip number for that phone saying they could do nothing about the loses.  Then almost at once my montly phone lost $11.50. I stopped that at ringtones on the 0845 2252244 number. 02 will do nothing about this obviuos scam that is affecting mobiles but I think moblie companies should not pay my money out to such companies in the first place.

My 14 year old son has been caught the same way.
He doesn't remember doing anything to subscribe and he is very careful, having been caught previously by a premium rate service on facebook.
He started receiving advertising texts in sets of 3 with no mention of cost or unsubscribe so be didn't have any idea that he was being charged for these. As he had no idea what they were, and was afraid to open or respond to them in case that somehow signed him up to something, he just deleted them and hoped they would stop of their own accord.
We've just had a bill totalling £27 for this lovely little scam, a great Christmas present!
Thanks to help on this forum we've (hopefully) unsubscribed by texting STOP ALL back to 81002 - we'll see tomorrow if any more arrive.
I tried calling 0845 2251808 but it keeps telling me that our mobile number is invalid (even though it isn't) so that's been more money down the drain.
I've now contacted Zamano by filling out the contact form on their website and also emailing cs@zamano.com. I've asked them to confirm that my son is unsubscribed, to block his number from all of their premium services and to refund the £27 - hopefully I'll hear back from them soon.

I recently called at my local O2 shop to see why I was being ripped off,as my last bill was for 34.04 and the tariff I'm on is 15.00.
They told me that I was being charged for using Zing ringtones, as I have never subscibed or used them how the HELL did they get my number, I have worked it out and I've been scammed for 32.00.
how do I get my money back from these sharks.
The man at the O2 shop sent STOP to the Number lets hope that this is the end of the matter.
Or as Arnie said   " I'LL be back""

    Hi everyone,

Had the same problem of my credit limit being used up so quickly by them ( Zing ) and left it for a while as i was so busy have just texted stop to their number and this seems to have worked, nevertheless what they are doing is morally wrong, they  should compensate the people they have scammed  and /or be put out of business.

My credit was deducted by £4.50 last week and I had no idea how it happened. Later that day, I received a text from 'zingtones' thanking me for subscribing. WTF? I did not subscribe to this scam company. I had no money left on my phone once they took that so I put £10 on yesterday in order to send a STOP text to them. Guess what? As soon as I put it on, these muggers took it straight back out. B*******.

I don't know what to do. As soon as I put money on to text them to unsubscribe, the thieving [removed:lang] take it back out again. I tried texting them on a friends phone but it said 'message failed to send'. BULLSH*T! I'm probably going ti need to change my nunber due to these robbing thieves.

I have only recently noticed that I have been charged £34 over the last 2 months for texts which have been sent to my daughters mobile phone from Zing. I googled and found their terms and conditions which clearly state that the user must be over 16 years of age and have the bill payers permission to use the service. My daughter is 16 but I pay the bill for her phone and it is in my name. I phoned 0845 225 1808 and told them I had never been contacted by them to give permission and if I do not get my money back I will go to trading standards and take them to small claims court. Even if I get my money back I will be taking the matter up with Trading Standards as this is a blatant rip off and is the nearest anyone can get to stealing. My daughter thinks they got her number from a competition on you tube she entered.

Received a cheque from Zamano today for refund of all the texts they charged me for. Once the cheque has cleared I will be contacting tradind standards. This scam has been going on long enough and has got to be stopped. There must be some way to stop them and I have the time and the determination to help in doing so.

I just spoke to them and was told that I'd done an I.q. Test online and ticked the t&c box without reading them, and within. Them t&cs it's says that they will charge you for texts received. I asked for a refund and they started to take my name and postcode, but I found myself repeating everything I was telling her. I decided to hang up Coz he may have cost me another £20. As I am typing this , another text from them........ I am now unsubscribed. Big lesson learnt... ALWAYS READ TERMS AND CONDITIONS.their number is 08452252244 national rate.
