I had a message to call someone named Tracy.  She is a very hateful, short talking person.  Told me I had to contact her back or she would take other measures of getting in touch with me.

I have tried five times to call the number back and it has been discontinued.
1-832-476-1739.  It is Avante.  This woman's extension is 608.

wonder if it has been cut off for non-payment of phone bill?

I NEVER answer the phone unless I know who it is.  Then again. . . even then I don't answer.  I have my fair share of creditors.  There are laws in EVERY state that say they are NOT allowed to call before 9am and no later than 9 pm and NOT during dinner time between 6-7.  If you say you are having dinner, they HAVE to hang up.  I have only once talked to these poor excuse for humans.  yes, not company, humans.  Cause they choose to act like this to people.  I would love to pay off the people I owe.  But with 2 back surgeries in 1 year on the same spot, a pregnancy, and a miscarriage after just dealing with everything that happened in Louisiana in 05 still trying to catch up, I told them to kiss my cajun [***] after a long long long discussion after telling them I will make payments.  That wasn't good enough for them even though it was a 20 every 2 week payment.  even after I asked so If I send you a check for 20 you'd send it back knowing that if you do you'd prove I owe nothing to you and get it null and voided right?  Or shoudl I just take you to court now.  then I blocked their number.  Haven't heard from them since.  My favorite part of the conversation was when he asked if I had life insurance.  Well, being curious I asked why?  He said during my surgery if I would have died they could have been paid and my family better off. . . nice huh?

I received a call from "Mrs. Gray", stating that she needed to present some very important "paperwork" to one of my relatives. As I wasn't home when she left the message, I returned the call the next day.  A woman named Laurie answered the phone, and when I asked for "Mrs. Gray", she acted very aloof.  "Mrs. Gray" was unavailable. I told them that my relative and I were somewhat estranged and that I probably had less information than they did. She stated that she would update her "information", but had a very accusing tone and hung up the phone before I could even say thank you. I'm sure they deal with difficult people every day, but going to the extreme of hasseling local relatives is over the top. It's a shame that they won't take the time to do a little better research before taking wild shots in the dark.

I just listened to the voicemail left on my home phone by "Mrs. Lopez" to return her call at 832-476-1739 x-625. She did not even use the correct first name of anyone that lives at my house and made reference to a claim number. I have seen this phone number quite a few times on the caller ID but this is the first time that a message was left. I promptly googled the number and found this website. Needless to say, I will not be returning her call!

Okay, we had a credit card debt, and it got sent to avante; so then we paid it off with a settlement offer.  Okay, months went by, and they call my husband at his job.  The man (Mr. Jeff Ford) is very rude, and told my husband that his wife (me) lied and never paid the bill. Then continued to say that we made numerous payment arrangements and never stuck to them.  Bull, cause we paid it off.  So, he is rude, and my husband hangs up on him. Jeff Ford calls back at his job and gets rude with the secretary.  Tells her that he is sending out garnishment papers. What a stupid head, cause he can't just send out garnishment papers,it doesn't work like that.  So, I call and talk to a supervisor, and instruct him to take mr.jeff ford off of our case, and that if I got any more calls from him, I would file a harrassment charge on him.  So, a couple days went by and then today, Mr. Jeff Ford calls my husbands job again!! Yells at the secretary again, and she had told him the first time to never call again.  So, now he is already in violation of the law.  I talk to him again, to tell him to never call again, and he yells at me.  Says I lie, and we are the type of deadbeats that don't pay their bills.  Then was continuously rude and yelling, so I tried to hang up on him. He wouldn't hang up his phone, so everytime I tried to pick my phone back up to dial out.....he was still there.  Laughing and saying he was going to stay on my phone line until we settled out debt.  I told him we DID settle out debt and to get off my phone line.  After about 10 minutes of him sitting there in silence while he hogged up my phone line, he finally hung up.  I made a complaint with a supervisor, and hope it is taken serious.  Tomorrow I am calling the BBB, and the attorney general on this company, and Mr. Jeff Ford.  Don't deal with this company, I think they are crooks.  I don't think it is legal to speak to anyone the way I was spoken to.  I have never been so mad in my life.

Amy Jay from 832-476-1739 x325 calls at least half a dozen times each and every day.  I leave my cell phone off during work hours, and end up having all these missed calls at the end of the day... ridiculous.

I got a call on my voice mail at work from this Tracie Adams woman, except she's calling for someone else and this is not the first time I have had this message for a man I work with.  Our extensions and names are not even close, so I don't know how she keeps getting my voicemail, but it's annoying.  When I called her back to tell her to stop calling and leaving messages on my voicemail she claims it wasn't her.  Um, hello, you left me your name and number on my voicemail and it's the same voice I just heard.

Spoke to a pretty easy-going agent by the name of Chris. First debt collector I ever talked to who seemed to understand that ranting and raving was a bad way to go. Nice guy, actually.

Yep, I have been getting voicemails from this sad group. A couple of concerns though, like a another post, they don't seem to know my name, let alone any of the made up names they themselves use. Also, they need to research a little more during their free time, because I am not married, yet they can accept a call from my spouse as a "response". Furthermore, if my failure to respond to them is my "response", then why do they keep calling?! Stop calling me. I eat dinner every hour of every day and that number you will 'never' reach me at is a business line.

Very rude, but ended the call with "good luck!"

Thank you! She just called my cell and left a nasty little messgae on my voicemail. I didn't answer because I couldn't identify the number. But now that I know who it is I added them in my contacts and I look forward to her next call. I guarantee she will not call back again afterward.

Called this evening, caller ID said Avante USA.  Scratchy, static-y taped message said that they were a debt collection agency, and that it was important that they speak to me right away. (Did not say who "me" was) Tape said to Press 2 if I felt this call was made in error.

Well, YEAH!  We owe nothing, nothing outstanding, no reason whatever for the call, nothing, nada.  So I press 2, and of course, was immediately disconnected!

What garbage!!! I have seen this name and number on our caller ID before, never any message left.

When I told him I was not going to supply him with my childs information,he yelled at me that she is NOT a minor and hung up the telephone on me.

This is the second call I've received on my cell phone from this company asking for my child.

last week i recieved a call from these people. they scared me into giving them my bank info so they could take money out every month on the 27th.
after talking to my husband we decided to go to the attorney general since this over a ballys thing, a gym membership i never signed up for.
so i called today telling them to not take out money. first i spoke to woman who was a moron and once i mentioned attorney general she put me on hold so i could talk to some [***] named something gonzales.
we had a screaming match. and he called me an idiot. and i told him i was doing what i thought was right because my husband has my interests at heart and those [***] do not.  oh and he hung up on me. and i called back, they hung up so i called back spoke directly to him. then he hung up again. and then i called again. because i couldnt understand what he was saying. i think at first he said they would continue to take payments but then he said they would collect the debt no matter what and what they had to do.
they are unprofessional.

I just got a call.. a man from AVANTE USA  832-476-1739 he said i owe a bill from 2000 ..i said that was 9 years ago and i dont know any thing about it...he insisted i pay ...i asked for his name an direct phone number and i would have my attorney contact him .....than he hung up

I got a message on my home phone to call 832-476-1739 X604. When I called them back, I talked to a rude foreign guy that told me I owed money on a PECO bill from 1994. I then asked for support of this. I proceeded to give him my address and then interupted him with the question of; What type of support are you going to give me for this? He immediately became defensive and told me it would be in the letter stating the balance owed. I told him that was not good enough, he then hung up on me.

Please make sure these folks are licensed to collect in your state (if your state requires licensing and bonding). They are NOT in my state (Minnesota). Hence, they cannot collect legally. Call your state's Department of Commerce. Free call. It's worth it!
