The company calls and does not give any information, wont leave a messagae even if the person they call for is not home and even though they called a landline number they insisted they were calling a cell phone and the person they want MUST be there.

I keep getting a call from this number, I have no idea what for, I never calls from number I don't recognize. Don't they get the idea I don't want to talk to them?

I received a message from them on my work phone.  The person talked so fast, I couldn't understand a word she said.  Luckily at work, we have caller ID and I searched this company, Avante USA and this was the same exact phone number they called from.
We don't have debt either.

Got a very rude call today, once I told them I have no checking account, the asked how I pay my bills - I said money order - they asked what about your husband - I said he is not here - they said, what is he in Iraq or something, I said no - he said where is he - I said none of your business - he is he's probably incarcerated - I said NO and hung up

I've now received a call from them today;  no doubt, then intended to make false claims I owed them money as well.  This is a SCAM of the HIGHEST degree and I believe, con's attempting to collect monies for Terroist operations.  Today, I"m reporting them to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Got a call from them today on my job; very rude and tried to speak so quickly that I didn't understand a thing they were saying.  Questioned me about what I did with my money, go to clubs?  Very unprofessional to call me on my job with such foolishness; told them I didn't have a checking account and that I was about to hang up the phone, to which I did...

These stupid folks keep calling me on my job saying I owe University of Pheonix $805.00 I told them that was the purpose of my student loan which I have already paid back to the State of Califorina.  I am not paying them for something that has already been paid over 6 years ago.

Getting harrassing phone calls from this  832-476-1739 "jeff" nasty person. I have no debts that are in the rears i explained this but he insist i do. To what and whom?? he will never say. This has SCAM written all over it! BBB here I come!!

I got a call from them today which I did not answer - they are looking for a relative but I do not plan on calling back nor giving them info on the relative.

The first call I answered a woman gushed out air in disgust.  Since then they had called every day but only letting it ring twice - for about a month.  I answered today within the two rings, had to wait about 10 seconds before a women came on the line.  She asked for someone that does not have any relation to this number, however I do recall the name from an old high school, or middle school class.  I told her do not call back.  She asked me to repeat that three times and she then ended the call.

I live in New York State and I just recieved a call from this company and have never been treated so rudely in my life. In fact, the agent, or whoever the caller may be, swore, threatned to make it a legal matter and hung up on me. I do  not even know what the call was regarding. To my knowledge, I do not owe a debt and if there is something out that that I may not know about, I definitley did not acquire any information from this call. It was so odd that someone would actually yell at me on the phone and hang up, prompted me to goggle it.

I tried to pay what I could towards balance to this place.....They are very rude and all of them should be fired just for simply being rude.  We are all hurting in some form of fashion because of the economy...But they don't have to be rude to us cause they feel like they can.  They kept insisting that I delbritley wrote a bad check....I get find for that not them so why they [***] are they treating me like a criminal.  I'm well aware that I owe money and frankly they need to stand in line cause I owe everybody money but, if I will to make some sort of payment, then they should take what they can get and let it be and stop calling my job cause if I get fired for them harrasing me, then they sure enoung won't get as much as a piece of pocket lent from me.

Got a call this morning..the person asked me how I was gonna pay the bill I told her I was a stay at home mom and wasn't working. She asked if my husband would pay it and I told her we were barely covering our bills now. She said the effort it takes to pay those, we could be paying this bill. I said well we have 3 kids and diapers and formula aren't cheap. Well don't you get assistant from the goverment.. I said no we do not, she tells me well then your husband makes enough to pay 100 on this bill. I told her no we don't have an extra 100, we are not gonna not pay our lights to pay HER salary. I did hang up on her. She was VERY rude and I did try to call back to talk to a supervisor, but got an answering machine. I blocked the number, but sure they will find away to call back. This company is VERY rude and I will NOT send them a dime.

VERY MUCH SO A HUGE SCAM!!!!! I received a call a few months ago from a lady by the name of Ms. Scotch, very rude & non-informative! She claimed that I'd owed a large amount of money from 2004 for attending Katherine Gibbs for 2 weeks. Beings though I had already been informed by a financial advisor that if I wasnt attending the school for 30 days or more, I was not responsible for any debt because student loan funds arent dispursed within that time. I asked her to send me out an enrollment agreement with my signature, which took her a month, & the document that she sent me was just a piece of paper with Avante USA at the top & a whole bunch of calculations. I did my research, found the number to Financial Aide Locators & found out my thoughts were correct.  I called this lady back & when she noticed that I wasn't backing down & I'd did my research, she hung up. Now, the automated system calls about 3x's a week....NO ANSWER from me & DEFINITELY NO CASH!!!

i recieved a call at work and was told they would continue to make the calls at work... i asked for the addy so i could send em a letter and mr trail told me he was the one asking the questions and if i wanted it to call the recptionist...wtf enjoy your ride!!!!

I just got a voice mail from this # today, 06-06-11: 832-476-1739 A Mr.Sherell says he's calling from Avanta or Avante USA about an application for a complaint. He continued by saying it was important that I call back because a decision had to be rendered.
I tried calling back the number but it wont go through....no busy signal or ringing....nothing.
I was trying to think what the heck he would be talking about and I was a little worried. After reading all these posts, I'm feeling much better.

Had a message on my phone person did not live at this number and when I got hold of the extension the woman that answered asked me my number I started to repeat it and she got ugly with me. The recording and the personel sounded like uneducated low lifes..
