keep getting a call from this # but no one speaks when I answer the phone.

I just received a call from 859-283-8074 at 10:30 AM this morning but no one answered nor left a message.  I dialed *69 and got this number.  Then called *67 to block my phone number and dialed it. After initial recorded greeting, a representative answered and wanted my account number.  I said I didn't have any Citicard account and he wanted my phone number.  He was polite but I just said "never mind" and hung up.  I'm hoping they don't call again.  But after reading these posts that go back to 2007, I'm not sure what will happen.  

The annoying calls that I get almost every day are from a company that wants to help me with my mortgage.  They are recorded but if I want to speak to a live person, I am to press 1.  Usually I just hang up but have pressed 1 and asked them not to call anymore as I don't have a mortgage, which I don't.  They still call frequently even when I press "2" that is supposed to tell them not to call again..

I also get frequent recorded calls about lowering my credit card payments.  I NEVER give out any information to anyone on the phone but if I just hang up, they still call again.  Sometimes I've asked them politely to not call back, sometimes I've gotten angry with them.  If I get angry, they call several more times a day. Now I just press "1" to talk to someone and when they answer I continuously hold down a key to make a loud noise in their ear.  They don't call as often but still call once in awhile.

I get these calls all day long. Once I did actually talk to someone, but they wouldn't tell me anything without me giving my information. I even was transferred to a 'supervisor', who said the same thing. When I told them to never call me back, she says they can't do that without me proving my identity! hello, you called me. Since it’s always from the same number, I was able to block it from my cell phone.

I get so many calls from this number... all hours of the day & night.  I don't even have a Citi card.  No Shell card or any other cards mentioned in previous comments.  They never leave a message, just keep calling and calling.  Nothing comes up on caller ID except the number.  If you call back, you get an automated answer that says they are citicard and it asks for your account number.

call 3 to 4 times a day then hung up.

I know not know how you received my cell number.  Please stop calling.

They just call no one is ever on the line . No message. Are they not breaking some law? Who do we report them to?

They call every day for the past six months. I dont or no one in the home has credit cards. I have picked up the phone and even put them on a dont call list they still call , they are even calling from another number a few min after the first just to try to validate my name number and address.. I asked them what the hell is this for they said ur credit card payment.. I started laughing at them on the phone and told them wow u are messed up cause no one in the house has a credit card and we use cash, then the caller abruptly hung up on the other end of the line. So you know its a scam people. Every year people are trying new things to scam others out of the money we work hard to get. Be careful to phone calls u dont reconize especially during the holidays.

get regular calls from these clowns but when I say "Hello" there is no one there - IF they want to talk to me then I suggest there be a live person on the end of the phone to answer......

This number calls about 20 times a day. Sometimes they just hang up, sometimes they ask for my father who is deceased. I have told them numerous times that he is deceased and please don't call but they continue. Usually the speak in broken english when they speak at all. Seems very odd for a number in Kentucky.

Yeah.. Answer the phone and tell the representative that they have the wrong number.. Dont hang up on them..Provide the number so that they can ensure they are removing the correct number. They may be calling the person who had your number before you had it..

If you get this call,You can stop them by calling or any other number that is annoying, just dial and listening to this message and file your complaint on the phone    (888 382 1222) they will stop them in there tracks

this number keeps calling me and not a word from who callled

they just called me at 8:20 and no one talked

i get the same ones and i just start talking they do not but do after about 32 seconds hey hang up

filed a complaint with the Federal registry, I have no buisness with them. Wont answer anymore. Hope they get fined. they are calling morning noon and night and never say a word, just hang up. If I call the number back a recording plays back that office is not open currently.
