Your best bet, is to call the number back, identify your phone number, name of the business, department, and notes will be made in the acct to stop further calls. Are you a in the police department, use your brain.

People say I don't have a citi card with you people, really, so when the record are pulled up, there we go, Staples acct, Office Depot Acct, Home Depot Acct, Goodyear acct, and the list is long, just because it states a name on the card, it does not mean that the bank is the name of the card you are holding. Gee, surprise, when Citi tells them that they are the credit holder, and that they have lended the money and not Goodyear, Office Depot, Staples, Zales, Tractor Supply, Home Depot, American Airlines, Gordon's, Fred Meyer, and the list goes on. Be smart, and don't act ignorant, you take charge of your situation and call back and ask how they can help, late fees can be reversed, if you just asked, pay down programs with lower interest including 0% and settlements up to 15% of the balance. I have no sympathy for people who complain with so ignorant knowledge.

DO you have more acct that are delinquent, probably citi's.

This number keeps calling with no message left.  When I see it is them I turn the answering machine up to full volumn which is really loud. I think I am going to answer next time and demand their mailing address and then report the Federal Trade Commission and the FCC.

They call me 5 times a day on my cell phone and home phone. I pick up and no one answers.

Citi Card calls twenty times a day no message make it stop!

I recently began receiving calls from this unrecognized number, but they haven't left a message...they just call a couple of times throughout the day.  I miss all their calls because I keep my cell phone slient during the day (at the office).  I'm glad I did a search for this number today.  I had no intention of calling the number, but it's good to know what's going on who's on the other end.  I can't beleive people don't have better things to do and refuse to get legitimate.

Phone number 859-283-8074 has been calling all day for two days.  When I answer I get a busy signal.  When I call back, they say their offices are closed.  I asked my Sheriff's detective husband if this isn't on the verge of harrassment, and he said it is.  I sent Shell a large payment last week.  These people know that they have the customer by the short hair, so do not care how annoying, or HARRASSING, they get with their flakey calls.

I get at least 4 calls a day and no one is ever on the other end. Please stop this!!

I answer the phone and there's no one there.  They called back an hour later and I just let it ring.  They left no message.

Get several calls a day from this number, when I answer they hang up.  We don't have any citicards or cards owned by citibank.  Its a shame they can't be stopped from calling.  They call as early as 7am and as late as 9pm.

THANK YOU for posting this, and from "Preferred Medical" also!!  Even though your posts were 4 years ago, either they weren't successful the first time around and decided to try this scam again, or it WAS successful and they laid low a while and pulled it back out of the bag.  My Shell account is current, as are my other Citi Card accounts and there is absolutely NO reason for them to be calling me!! Another clue was that if I ever have forgotten to pay and am a few days late, the REAL Shell calls and leaves me a reminder message.  The people at this number leave NO message at all!!

If you are on the national no call registry, you can report them. They may get fined and I believe the harrassed will get damages. www.ftc.gov If they are a scam, it falls under the FTCs jurisdiction.I doubt a scammer would continue calling omce they hear you're reporting them...

Some credit card company, indicating "your card neeeds to be renewed". After asking which card, the caller hung up the line!!

Due to these harassing phone calls from Citi Bank, I'm going to cancel my Shell card and never buy Shell gas again.

5/1/12 For the last 5 days-- 5 to 6 times a day.9:15am until 7:00pm The machine calls and tells me to hang on for next person than hangs up.tryed calling this number back it won't let me thru.citi group or citi bank will be contacting citi group by telephone. Jerks!!

My spouse and I keep getting calls from (859) 283-8074 reporting as " Florence, KY ".
I have no idea what any one here is talking about has they call all hours of the day, say NOTHING when you answer(if I do) then if I could back the number a female recorded voice says " thank you for calling " then instantly disconnects the call. Phishing scam? So for for us it's just been pure illegal telephone harassment since we are on the national do not call list, plus constant hang-up calls have always been illegal.

Yes, but what if they do not say any thing and just keep hanging up on you instantly when you say "hello" and play a "thank you for calling" recording when you call them and then they hang up. Not much you can do other then report them.
