Been finding the message on my voice mail, lady's voice "We're sorry we couldn't reach you in person...blahblahblah...Citibank, about your Phillips card."  Was home when it came this morning, answered it, and got a man's voice with the same "sorry couldn't reach in person" -- EVEN THOUGH I REPEATEDLY SAID, "YOU A/H, I'M HERE, I'M IN PERSON, NOW TALK TO ME."  Both messages have
said "this is NOT a sales call."  Was actually about to call the 800 number they left, before deciding to Google the number the call came from -- very glad I did.

These people are a royal pain in my backside.  If you answer, you get a pause, and then a recording comes on "Please hold for the next available representative."  Excuse me, but YOU called ME.  And you're going to place me on  HOLD and expect me to WAIT until you get good and ready to talk to me?  I'm sorry.....not going to happen.  I am so sick of these calls day in and day out.  They even have the GALL to continue calling on SUNDAY!!!  Oh and by the way, did you know that Citicard will charge you INTEREST on your credit card from the time the PRINT the bill and the time they POST your payment????  Oh yes.  And then, when you don't PAY it, they charge you a LATE FEE and MORE interest, even though you're disputing the charge!  Isn't this against the law????  I hate these people.

Just got this call.

Calls from 859-283-8074 started for us about a couple of months ago.  Our family has a policy whereby we don't answer the phone unless we recognize the number on the call display.  Of course, nobody in our household knows this number, so we've never answered it.  We feel that if it's somebody we DO know, but just don't recognize the number, then they'll leave a message and of course we'll return their call.  But whoever is calling from this particular number NEVER leaves a message - and the calls have increased now to at least 4 per day, 7 days a week.  Don't know who it is and don't really care.  If they wanted somebody here, they'd simply leave a message.  So screw 'em.  They'll never get a chance to speak to anyone here.  I am curious though as to who would be so stupid to think that after all their wasted phone calls thus far, their continued efforts and growing persistence would ever pay off.  Believe me, we can be just as stuborn and persistent as they can be and even more.  Hell, there are statutes of limitations on debts.  We can hold out for as many years as it takes for whatever the debt might be to expire and be no longer valid.  Lets play.  We have our phone's ring volume set at the lowest setting, so we can barely hear it.  Feel free to call as many times as you like.  It's not interfering with our lives in the slightest.  Are you getting any of this 859-283-8074?  LOL.

Calling me 15-25 times a day. FOR SOMEONE ELSE! i keep telling them that Im not the person they are trying to get a hold of. Yet they keep calling me. Ive called the police numerous times, and they have told me to call several other people but the calls wont stop. They even swore at my teenage son at 5 am when he picked up the phone.
its getting out of hand, and they wont believe me that im not who they are trying to reach.

I 'guess' it's Citi cards.  Certainly smells of a scam to me.  I've already setup payment arrangements with Shell on a citi card that has a balance.  I spoke to a very nice older woman and we setup auto-payments to deduct from my account monthly.  They've already began taking the deductions and I receive a confirmation from them monthly that they've taken the money.  

However, I just started getting calls from this number. I get between 4-12 calls a day, seven days a week.  I've been woken up on the weekends at 7am by these people.

I have no idea how to get them to stop.  My city police don't give a crap, they've got much bigger issues to deal with and so....I'm stuck.  

I don't know what else I can do other than "ignore" these calls but it's very hard to do when they are calling me more than anyone else is including the people I know and love.

I have no credit cards at all.  This is yet another scam trying to get your account numbers!  Do NOT give out your information!

I get calls from this number regarding my Shell, Sunoco, and Citgo gas cards that were managed by Citi.

Last month, Citi canceled all 3 cards because they did not like my credit report.  I don't like it much either, but all three cards have been paid on time for 2.5 years.

When Citi canceled, they stated in writing that the oil companies had nothing to do with the decision.

I lost a job last October, and got a new one in January that pays much less.  I can't cover all the bills now, but I paid these because I still need to buy gas.  

But when your money comes up short at the end of the month, the last thing I will pay is a gas card that I can't use.

I'm sure the oil companies are thrilled with your actions, Citi.

As for the collectors in Florence KY, who cares?  They call about a half-dozen times a day to my cell phone.  Sometimes I answer and let the phone sit just so some person has to waste a little time.

Another good service to use is YouMail if you have a cell phone.

Call 4-16 times a day, started about 2 months ago have called at 7 in the morning and 9 at night.  Never leave a message.  We never answer the phone if we don't know the number.  Tired of running to answer the phone and seeing one of their many numbers calling.

I get at least 5 calls a day from 859-283-8074.  They do not leave a message. Their number and location (Florence, KY) appears on my caller ID.  This site states that it could be a Citi Bank Credit Card.

I keep getting these calls too - caller ID says Kentucky  859-283-8074.

I got rid of ALL my credit cards back in the 80's.  So there is no reason for these #$%@!-heads to be calling me.  This is a scam run by thieves who are phishing for account info, passwords and other private data.

Luckily, I have a "Phone Zap" device attached to my phone. I ordered it from an ad in Popular Science.  It blocks all calls with a message that requires non-telemarketers to press 2 to continue.  So my phone rings once when these morons call, then never again.  The device is also supposed to "zap" my number from computerized systems.  Since I continue to get these calls, their system is either not computerized, more technically advanced than the blocking capabilities of the Phone Zap or the zapping function is broken.

For those who want more info on the Phone Zap, you may have to do some digging.  Their domain name is now owned by someone else - a photo sharing service.  I did some searches on Google and couldn't find anything on the company.  However, I still have the owner's manual for the device and it says their address is:

I've gone through all of my Citicards (Shell, Home Depot, etc...) and updated bogus phone numbers on my accounts. Now I don't know who they're calling - just not me!!!

the number 859 283-8074 is CITIBANK - credit card.... a telephone tone service which you have to enter your acct number... they have call me but no message left from them.... i do have an acct with them and they sent me a letter for a so call help in settlement of my account. for a redued amount not much and a reduction in view that they have to many over the limit and late payments due to thier posting of payments.... accounting practices 101, the payment are to be credit it first and then the debts, all CPA and accouting firm follow the practice, citi and other don't the post the debt charge first and then any payment, this practice will cause of the limit if your account is at the point of the limit... his has been discussed with them to no avail hence reusal to pay the fees... they wanted to make pay agreement but to do so I needed to authorized them to debt my check account, I refuse this as i can make to payment plan if agreement entered into... NOTE: I have been a customer of citibank since 1969!!!!!!!!!!!! when they were a real bank First National City Bank...  they need to go back to basic and be a bank again.... from what i have been hearing this week appear they are do that. i will will not allow my account to be controlled by citi nor any other company

I finally got fed up with them calling and called them back.  I told them not to call me anymore.  They tried asking for personal information, and I refused to give it to them and told them again to stop calling me.
I wouldn't even give them my name.  They don't call anymore.  I was getting 5 or 6 calls a day.  You might have to be direct if you get tired of them calling.  BUT MAKE SURE YOU TELL THEM NOTHING!
