- reusaDon't have a staples account, nor mobil, nor shell. They've been calling me the last few days continuously... I'm a DNC # in Massachusetts. ARGH!
- reusaCalled again within 24 hours.
Recording saying this is about Citibank Private Label Account.
And to call 888-279-2426
Interesting fact saying to call during normal business hours only. - FunkymonkeyEveryone...Get ride of your land line and only give your cell to friends..These credit card company's are relentless and won't stop calling..it doesn't matter if you have an account or not.. They just keep calling and calling.Even if you are in good standards with them they call to remind you, badger you and herass you. The banks had Billions of our tax dollars thrown at them and the greedy pigs want more..This is similar to what Hitler was dealing with. I do not condone what that madman did, only the similarities. God Bless America..

- crazyI actually work at this site. I am a collections rep at the site in Florence Ky. The number is to the actual site, like geographically. It is not a banking site, simply a call center. We always give out an 800 number to call back to customer service. I agree that Citibank is a [***] company, trust me, I KNOW. But, these reps like me who call are only sitting there while the computer dials automatically. We have zero control over where and who is called. We are people, who live in a country with a bad economy, working our crappy job for a crappy company who is not really great at customer service, especially if you oew them money and aren't paying. A lot of times, simply answering the phone and speaking to them will stop the calls, if you really aren't the person they are trying to get ahold of. Now I can only speak for myself and the people who work in my department (there are many depts with around 2000 people there), but if you tell me it isn't you, I immediately go up to the dialers and have the number removed. That said, if it is you, they will NEVER stop calling until you are past due for over 6 months at least. Up to 6 times a day at each home and work numbers. Mostly, during the day we are given instructions not to leave a message. At night, we do but it is simply a recording button we push. IF it is you and you know it, citi handles all kinds of third party cards like Shell, Sears, American Airlines, etc. Then I suggest, instead of ignoring it, answer it and take the help they can give you. Many times programs are avaliable like reducing interest, reducing min due, postponing payments, debt reduction, etc. We have no control over the automated system that takes inbound calls, therefore, while I do think it is stupid to put someone on hold who is calling you, that is what they do. I am sorry if you get a rude person, as there are rude people everywhere. But also keep in mind, I generally like it if people don't answer...one less rude person I have to talk to. Because Citi is pretty crappy, 80% of the people I call are horribly rude to me cause they are mad at the company. I have two options, quit or stay and eat. You have two options, answer or ignore it. I am simply trying to help those who are aggravated and want the calls to stop. If you owe a debt and are not intending or cannot pay it, get used to the calls they will not stop no matter how much you ignore them.
- Caller: citi
- Anne GlockThis Citi bunch is also involved with or owns Exxon-Mobil. If you are a day late on a payment the hounding phone calls start. You would think a thieving oil company would have plenty of money and not have to harass people day and night. I paid the card off and hope to NEVER hear from them again. They are one of the most overpriced gas stations in California
- annoyedThis phone number has called my cell and / or texted me five times today. I'm extremely annoyed with them. How can we get them to stop calling, or annoy them back? Has anyone tried to get their physical address? Maybe a stop by in person visit will get them to stop! If I can get it I'll post it here. I also do not own a Citi Card, so how did they even get my number?
- Caller: Citi Card / Shell card
- JA NYThey have called me and I spoke to them voice to voice and reached agreement for payments.... I complied on my end and issued payment, they did not, on my next statement the rate stayed the same as did the paymetn from 75.00 to 285.00..I have written to the with no reply... Due to CITIBANK, I am boycotting SUNOCO (note I have been using SUNOCO EXCULSIVE SINCE 1992 ON BOTH PERSONAL AND BUS.) I have also written to Sunoco.... I RECOMMEND THAT IF YOU HAVE A STORE CARD LIKE, SUNOC, SHEL, HOME DEPOT ETC.. AND ARE HAVE THESE ISSUES STOP BUYING AT THOSE STORES. OR AT BEST NOT USE THEIR CREIDIT CARDS.!
- JoanneA call just came through from this number and the caller did not leave a message on the answering machine. I screen my calls. All of my accounts are current and I have no long-term debt.
- skippyThis number has been calling me both on my cell and my work number 4-5x/day EVERYday. Early a.m. weekend calls as well. I don't have a Citi/Mobil/Shell account and have no idea why they are calling.
- Gthey keep calling even though I have paid my balance off and they actually owe me a credit!!!
- PhilCalling me any time of the day and night, even Sundays!!!!! They are even calling my work also asking for me, but wont identify themselves and hang up there
- Caller: dont know
- johnGot several calls from this number so I called it back. It is Citi bank. They hadnt received a payment I made. I was able to correct it with them. This seems to be a legitimate number as citi bank has many retail accounts under their business.
- LGThey have been calling on average 10 times daily. I borrowed my dad's old police whistle. I suggest you do the same. An ORL doctor once told me that an abrupt, sudden burst of a police whistle directly into the ear can cause permanent ear damage.
- LGTo "crazy" who wrote here on November 13:
I have no credit card balances whatsoever. I have no transactions over the past six (6) months with any credit card companies. That a person would write reams and reams of jibberish about his plight with a company is befuddling to me. It borders on someone singing the blues about their own immoral behavior. Until Congress (our greatest enemies) initiates genuine reform with credit card companies, these firms will continue to harass the most creditworthy of customers. Sad, but o well, this is America - Mr. WonderfulGot 3 calls from this number today! ANNOYING! Caller ID says from Florence Ky.
- This # is a Thorn In My SpineThis number started calling me yesterday starting at 8:22 am PST and has called every 1-3hrs since ranging from 8:22 am to 8:00 pm PST. I answered the first initial call and no one said anything they just sat on the line. So I have not answered the calls since. No messages have been left. It is true when you call the 859-283-8074 # back it says CitiCard and immediately ask you to enter your account #. CitiCard does not have a 859# all their numbers are 1-800 or 866 #'s. I truly believe this is another Holiday scam to get anyone with a CitiCard's information. So be wise and careful. Whatever the case I have officially had this number placed on the blocked list through my cell phone carrier.
- Caller: CitiCare
- Mattcalled them back - not a phishing scam - they didn't ask for account number, just e-mail and number they called me at. It was my Amazon which is a couple days late - but one payment will cover the entire balance. She wanted to set something over the phone, but I have bad luck with that - so I decided to do it later on.
NO biggie guys, just press 0 when you call back and you'll get someone on the line. - BruceThis number called this morning, won't ID themselves. If it is Citibank, they can be sued under the Fair Debt Collection Act under federal law for each calling incident listed above. Welcome to the lottery everyone, and start suing.
- Caller: Florence, KY
- backatcha! They never called before. I have had my Shell Gas card for about 36 years and this was the first time I have ever received a call from them. I have not spoken to anyone over the phone because I will not bother to call them back and I refuse to answer a incoming call I don't know. I have just cut up my Shell credit gasoline card and will not buy their gas. So backatcha, Shell!!
- Caller: Citigroup
