I HAVE GOTTEN 6 CALLS A DAY EVERY DAY FOR SOMEHTING UNKNOWN WRONG NUMEBR REPORTED THIS EVERY WEEK AND ALWAYS GET TOLD I'LL REMOVE YOUR PHONE NUMBR FROM THE SYSTEM BUT NEVER DO THIS IS RIDICULOUS

They called my ex-MIL today (I've been divorced 16 years), used my new married name, and told her that they had some hot checks I needed to take care of or they were going to come pick me up. That I needed to call them by 10:30 am tomorrow to take care of them.

I didn't even know people still wrote checks. All my stuff is direct deposited and I use my debit card to pay for things. Been that way for YEARS.

I'm pretty sure it's illegal to threaten to 'pick someone up' over non-existent hot checks, so am debating on calling them tomorrow and telling them I'm reporting them.

we we're just recieve a call from that number and we are all wondering where they get our homephone no..the first thing i did is to search in the internet about the company(stevens & michael associates)
.and we found out everything they do to us.same us  here we never had any transaction with that company and we would like to clear up that we dont had any debths history so berfore they messing up our lives we should  report them in anyways of stopping them...!!"

they call and say they have an important message and call them back....  Well it was SO IMPORTANT they would leave more then some vague message like this... If this was a real debt collector or other type company they would have said this is company xyz we are a debt collector please call us at 1+-800... and so forth.  I talked with on debt company and asked why they don't state what company, and why they was calling they said they can't because of laws... I was like bull sh*t!  Our van company called before and stated this call is for mr. g, this is xyz van company , please call us ....  I told the guy he was the one how was wrong and trying to collected a debt illegally!  Because he didn't state what company and a brief message why he was calling.. these scams think every one is stupid... Not all of us are..

I have my phone # on the "do not call " list for a reason. If there is something you need to tell me that is urgent , then you can mail me this URGENT information . Be specific .

Call my cell phone a couple of times a week.  I am unable to answer, due to being at work.  No messages EVER left and there is a couple of seconds of silence before they hang up.  Certainly, they are not trying to reach me or they would leave some sort of a message.

A Brian Thomas called for one of our employees and left a voice mail that said, "We are a 3rd party courier and we need to deliver what looks like a legal document to Mr. Smith.  It is set to deliver within the next 24-48 hours.  What policy or procedures do you have in place to deliver legal documents?  Call 866-201-1890 and tell us what the policy and procedures are, or give this number to Mr. Smith in case he wants to make arrangements to have this delivered to him at another location."

This is incredibly stupid.  First, couriers don't call ahead of time for the "policies and procedures".   They don't care what is in the package, they just deliver it.  Give me a break.

Stevens and Michaels have been calling my BUSINESS PHONE FOR WELL OVER A YEAR NOW.  Called them repeatedly and told them to stop. This is a women's clothing store, and they leave messages on my answering machine.

This company just started calling me to collect a phoney debt! They refuse to give me a physical address and keeps hanging up on me. They are a scam artist! Everytime I try to call them back they try to be condensending to me to get me riled up.

Thought debt collectors shouldn't call your job..nearly got fired for this

Don't talk to them at all. Block their number from your phone. This is a scam.

I asked this guy if they were going to sue me (is the debt actionable), and he said "no, we aren't going to sue you, we are just going to harass you by calling you on the phone all the time". So I said, well, you are not supposed to do that. It's not my debt, etc...And I'm not going to pay. So, either sue me or leave me alone...
Then he said "we have other ways of collecting..." I imagine they are going to drown me in junk mail next.
Worse, they will re-age it, add a decimal point and some zeros, and who knows?

Stevens and Michaels is a sleazy collection agency that uses several means of tactics to collect monies from people, whether they owe money or not.  They harrass with constant automated phone messages hoping that someone will send them money.  Report them immediately to the Better Business Bureau and your state attorney general - you can file with both agencies online in a matter of minutes, and the calls will stop.

This company is a joke.  They call regarding an apparent old hospital bill asked them to send proof of the bill which they can not.  After speaking with my atty, I told them exactly what my atty told me to tell them and they told me I'M WRONG AND MY ATTORNEY MIS INFORMED ME ABOUT MY STATE LAWS...yeah right now they call me at least once a week...Damn these people need to get a life

Its been over 3 years of torture. They call multiple times everyday for a person who we don't even know, and never lived at this address, when I tell them no one by this name lives here, they still keep calling.
Same annoying automated message, what is stupid is that the phone message says if you do not answer the phone then you say you are Mr. x.
After reading some of the comments here I decided to give them a taste of their own medicine.
I will be calling them multiple times a day, and then play with the # key as suggested.
Its payback time!!! I will file again with FCC and FBI.
