Edwin Coln 866-201-0940 called from STevens & Michaels.  Asked several personal questions, which I didn't answer.  Wanted my husband to call back about a debt.  I pay ALL the bills and we do not have anything outstanding or late, so I knew it was a scam.  When I started talking about this being a scam, Edwin hung up on me.

Don't let these guys fool you.

These people are ridiculous, they called my mothers boyfriends house for me! WTF? How the hell do you know my mom's boyfriend? Where do you get your information? Unbelievable!

Stephens and Michaels Associates with blocked called ID.  1-866-461-1923.  Representative tried to hide the fact that she is working for a collection agency trying to collect  old medical bills from a person who does not live at our residence.  I asked her to do her job, since Stephens and Michaels Associates brag to their clients that they have the ability to reach and solve medical bills. She should have a simple google of the person she is trying to reach and find their new residence.
She was upset that I was rude to her and that I would not give her any information.  I told her that I will start billing my time to Stephens and Michaels Associates if she does not stop calling every morning at ten AM Eastern time.

Calls using Caller ID Blocker 1-866-461-1923.  Representative was upset that I said she was not a law firm but a debt collection agency for either Capital One or Medical Bills for a person who does not reside at our residence.  I asked her that if Stephens and Michaels Associates is as they proudly tell clients, an advance collection solutions agencey, why did she not know that the person she is trying to contact is not at my residence.  I told her to google the name because it is public record where this person is.  I told her to do her job or I would bill the company for my time and information. She said I should get so rude to her.  Never respond to this collection agency that has no legal status in FLorida until they hire a Florida Bar Register Attorney to file in local civil court.
I am tired of the every day ten oclock call and their violations of the do not call regulations.

CALLS AND LEAVES MESSAGES

They keep calling about a bill from Feb 2008, so almost FOUR years ago. Never heard from the hospital after it was paid. Now they call me constantly, I have sent 3 letters asking for proof of debt, yet they continue to call without proof. They're nasty and threatening every time they call. She told me today to just prove that I paid it and it'll be done with. BUt why should I have to go through all that when they can not do their job. She told me that it sounds like I just googled debt collections and tried to throw fancy terms at her. All I did was ask for a proof of debt. They have nothing. I'm going to notify the BBB soon.

Got several calls from this number today and left no message

These people have called me about a debt I have no recollection of....When I asked them to mail me some info on them , I NEVER received it....now today they call and want to know when I will pay this...Who ARE these people...I can see I'm not the only one...

This number has call my number 21 time. Called it back and got music. I think they our trying to get informtion to us for e-legal purposes.

I received a call at 10:30a.m. that whent to my answering machine  and never ended. The automated call kept saying repeating that it was a dept collector for a certain person, that does not have my phone number. When I tried to call back to let them know I did not know this person. The automated call verified that the call was correct and hung up. I can't get through to them and let them know they have the wrong phone number.

Report them to FTC. THEY HAVE A WEBSITE. FAX IN INFO.  DON'T GIVE ANYONE YOUR INFO OVER PHONE.

Don't give out any personal info to this company. If they are calling you, they should tell you. If they are harassing, report them to FTC. They have a website & you can FAx it in

I recieved a called at 7:49 PM, said they had a grat deal for my son.  They wouldn"t give me any information without his consent.  I found it very suspicious and I googled their name and BAM!!, a collection agency

Igot a call to call this number for my son-in-law to call for debt collection. when he called the number they wouldn't give him any information so he didn't give them any information either.  this is a scam.

Complete lie....be an dult and tell the truth

Its against the law to say you are a collection agency unless you have verified you are speaking to the party at hand.

03079.There are other addresses for them also in New Hampshire. They buy old debts from companies, repackage them, and then call you as if was a fresh debt. For example, you defaulted on a Montgomery Wards credit card in thr 90's. Montgomery Wards sold their past due and charge off credit card files to someone else. They took their shot in the 90's, and today, Stevens Michaels Associates picked up all the accounts, probably for less than 5-10% of the face value, and takes the info and tries to scare you into paying on the account. If you pay even a dollar, they"re-validate"the debt, and you owe the whole amount, including interest,fees,etc.
Stevens Michaels Associates has 43 Better Business Bureau complaints against It. They are not BBB
members, so they don't have to work with the BBB to resolve your complaint.
There are at least 7 civil lawsuits against Stevens Michaels Associates in Federal court, all over the US.
If they call and say they are a law firm, HANG UP! Then call your state bar associuation, and the New Hampshire Bar Assocation, and report them for practice of law without a license.
