I got a call from 866-201-0940 from Christine Barbau and ask me to call back.  They do not say what they want.  It sounds like a scam.  Do not call back.

Debt collectors, very rude and unprofessional, claims to be experts in the debt collection.
Stephen, michaels and associates of deadbeat collectors.
WHen they call you, make sure you ask who they are looking for, name, dob, ss#,
do not give out any of your own personal infomation, if they don't know it, then how
do you know they are legit? and the last 4 numbers don't mean anything.
And tell them that all communications must be in writing, and to never call you again!

Christina Barboux sp? keeps calling my elderly father.  Seems to an automated message from debt collectors!!!

I called the consumer rights lawyers at http://www.mincal.com and they are going to stop these guys from calling my dad and file a lawsuit.  Told me if anyone else is having problems to contact them for a free legal consultation.

These guys called me too. Left a messge on my home phone from a Christina Barbo, yeah right, that's a real name, anyway they said they had an important matter to discuss with me.  Thought I would check it out here before I called back ... glad I did, I won't be calling them, I have no outstanding debts.  Guess I'll be reporting these guys too.  Earlier this week I was called by ASC Affidavit Consolidation Service telling me in a thick India accent that they were going to take legal action against me for failing to pay a payday loan from Cash Advance USA.  Well .. I don't have any payday loans and never will, I can't afford to pay back at 300%, know what I mean?  Makes me wonder though if I am a victim of identity theft.  I've reported ACS to the FBI, FTC, BBB and the Attorney General in Florida where the call came from.

they keep calling for someone who doesn't live here and hasn't for four years. I let them know that and they just keep calling. Make them go away!!!!

Received a call from Christina Barbau representing Stevens & Michaels.  Message left of phone recorder "important information" for me.  And to return the call.  I did not.  After reading all the posted messages on this web site, sure sounds like a scam to me.  They won't get the time of day from me.

Called for my adult son. Said it was a personal matter. Left phone number 866-201-0904 ex. 2873 Lisa. He doesn't owe anyone anyrhing, and never buys on credit.

Get a copy of your credit report.  You can go online, order the report, in fact you can get 3 reporting agencies and print them out.  This is your proof of when you made the last payment to the original creditor.  Do not talk to these bottomfeeders....

If you past SOL and if they really got brave and filed a lawsuit you can file a motion yourself, pro se, stating that the debt has gone past the SOL

Your credit report will prove it.  My sister is dying and this company called her.  My husband is a lawyer and I told him to sue her.  Big waste of time and money for them

Pay your bills instead of acting like a loser!

They called asking for my wife. Would not provide any details - said it was "private". My wife and I have been married 26 years - there is not now nor has there ever been such a thing as "private" between us - we share everything. No secrets, no surprises - so the phrase automatically put me on the defensive. Saved the number in the phone as "SCAM".

I got a call from them today and  they left a message     for me  to call   them back.When I called them back  I asked  the person who he was with  and what they did.  He said he wanted to know if I was so and so first .   After asking him 2 times what they did he hung up on me. ...........I looked them up on the internet and found this site of satisfied customers.  I have no past due bills or any bills for that matter  and I look forward for that little twerp calling me back.

I got a call from them, googled, founf out it was bogus and then these [***] got my MIL's number, and I've never even lived there!

I have received calls for months and it has been so stressful. I started hanging up until the last few days I have got 2 calls that I thought was different. I talked to then and they said I owed &7000.00 on a card that
I have never had. They said that I paid on it for two years and stopped paying. They said if it was a fraud
that the person who owed the money wouldn't have paid on it for two years.
I wish that I knew how to stop then from doing this to people.

I just got a call from this number and immediatly sent it to voice mail. The message started with 'christina barbeau from stevens and micheals associates with an important matter they need to discuss with me ass soon as possible. Who are these people? If they want me to call back they need to have more info. What is the important matter? Makes me wonder if they have any information on me to begin with. They wont get anything from me with out some sort of proof.

I received several messages from this company this week and I returned the call today.
I asked to speak with Christina Barbo and I was told she was a supervisor who is unavailable.
They quickly knew my name and repeated my last four digits of my SSN.

The individual that answered the call was very unprofessional.  I asked her to send me something in writing and did not respond to what she was saying.  She kept on talking and her voice was getting louder and threatening.  Call me again and I will seek legal action against these individuals.  Dealing with the wrong person here.........

Do not owe any money to anyone.  I have been lucky to be able to pay all my bills through the years.

Need to put an end to these people that take advantage of people just trying to make a living honestly!

This number is calling a place of Busienss it is very annoying with no credit issues

Great idea This [***] says I owe $ 170.00 from 1972 a Walmart dept well Walmart did not have a store in Calif untill 2004. and then it was in Stockton 250 miles from here. What a Scam
