Caller ID from 8663117847 Unknown Caller at 9:01pm on Sunday night.  Did not answer. On DNC but guess they are exempt but a call at 9:01pm is uncalled for regardless of exemption.

When receiving these types of calls I keep track of the date and time the call is received and then file a complaint with the FCC.  You can go to their website at the link shown below.

Select the Telemarketing, Pre-Recorded Messages and Do Not Call option.  There is a form you can fill out on-line.

As a general rule charity organizations are exempt from the Do Not Call restrictions.  However, they are required to allow you to request that your name be removed. Therefore they must either have a live person available for you to make such a request or if it is pre-recorded, there must be an opt out option. With this call there was no person on the other line and no opt out instructions.  Therefore your best bet is to file a complaint with the FCC.

same thing, basically, i answered and they hung up, i have received several calls from this number and it is always the same, nobody says anything or they just hang up, And sorry to tell everyone but Charity is exempt from the DNC list, I am also on it, but if you donate to one thing, then you are open to all of them....

Got a call on a SUNDAY EVENING??  Caller ID is unknown name and number.  But, thanks to the previous notes by other callees, I know I don't have to answer this one.

Received 3 calls from this number once every 7 days since the first of the month. I do not answer out of area calls. They do not leave message. If this was a legit company there would be a live person and they would leave a message for me to call back. If it was not for Vonage i would not have the phone number. Caller ID says "Out of Area but Vonage shows Caller ID as 866-311-7847 and Name as "Unavailable"

i keep getting a call with caller ID no name from 513-573-8028 which i have read on the internet is basically a scam - what i do now is pick up the receiver and quickly hang up.  usually within minutes i get a caller id call from 866-311-7848 which i checked on the internet and saw your comments so i will do the same when they call.

The Breast Cancer Sociey is not even listed on www.charitynavigator.com or www.charity.com

A machine telling me that a rep would be with me shortly.  I hung up.

These phone calls are terrible and they call repeatedly. Very annoying and we are on a no call list.

I've received several of these calls also just after I changed some services at Verizon.  How do I get off of these "charity" calls?!
