Very choppy phone call with a lot of background noise. "The mayor is a murderer."

I am tired of paying for phone service for all these unsolicited calls.  I barely use the phone for personal reasons and i get 5 to 10 calls a day from "unknown name". I am on the do not call registry for a couple years now.

Female yelled at me when I asked to be removed from the call list. Called my house at 8pm on a sunday night.

I received this call 10 minutes ago... it came up on my caller ID I have no idea who it is but I have been getting them regularly. I am listed on the Do Not Call Registry.

I also received a call from them, but they just left a blank message on my machine. I decided to return the favor. I called the number back, listened through the automated message, then at the beep I just let the phone record a few seconds of blank air. Then when prompted I hit 2 to make the message a priority. If others use this technique maybe we can get them to stop calling and leaving blank messages.

On my caller ID, just the phone number and "Toll Free Call" below the number. We do not answer calls that are blocked calls, unknown caller, or any number we do not know who the caller is! We do not take telemarketer calls regardless of what their organization is! We are on the Do Not Call list! We realize that charities, politicals, etc. do have a right - why I do not know - if I wanted to donate to these people I would already have!

Don't be fooled.  This is not the American Cancer Society nor is it the American Breast Cancer Society.  It is a telemarketing company that contracts (the telemarketer initiates the contract) with "charities" to raise money. The "charity" may get as little as 8% or they may get nothing at all!  The contracts all contain the stipulation that the telemarketer reach a prescribed limit.  If the limit is not reached, they have met their obligation to the charity simply by attempting to reach the minimum required amount.  The telemarketing company then gets to keep all the money they collected in the name of the so-called charity.  If you wish to make donations of any kind, contact the organization directly.  These companies have no place in an honest society.

Received a call 9/6.  The caller said that she was collecting funds for women who have been affected by Hurricane Gustav.  She asked me how much I wanted to donate and I told her that I do not give money to charities over the phone.  I told her that she could send materials and I would review them and decide if I want to donate.  She said that they can only mail an invoice/receipt with the donation amount on it; how much do I want to donate?  I again told her that I do not make telephone donations.  She then slammed the phone down on me.

calls--no message--about once an hour daily for over a month.

I donate thorugh other sources for breast cancer........NEVER over the phone for ANYTHING.

They call several times a day do they not get the message? How can I avoid these calls? This is very annoying.

I am like everyone else very tired of getting these calls on a daily basis. A big scam is my thoughts so I do not even answer the phone when I see the number. People please be aware if you do not want to be taken.

I was receiving several calls from this number each day with them asking for my wife,(English is a second language for her) anyway when I told them she was not here no message etc... Tonight I asked who was calling and she proceeded to tell me that she wanted to send an envelope so my wife could again send another donation this year. We have never donated to them. Well she asked if she could send to our address, and she got close to it until she said an Apt #. We live in a house. She then went on to tell me that our neighbor had donated between 25 and 35 dollars, so i asked her what apt they lived in. She gave me the privacy spill. I then asked her if she was with the Breast Cancer Society or a telemarketer, she said she was calling on their behalf with 10 to 20% going to the Society. I then asked her if she knew that this number was on the National Do Not Call list. She hung up. :)

I answered the caller informed me that they were a charity raising money for barest cancer and asked me to make a pledge. when i asked how much of the money went to the cause I was transfered to someone else who took a while to tell me that 80% was kept by them and only 20% went breast cancer. I declined and told them they were parasites.

AC Services is a telemarketing scam that operates out of Southfield, MI. contact person is Chris Hansen office number is 248-208-9139. start calling this jerk and see how he likes it.

What has happened to the Do Not Call list???????????   I'm getting sick and tired of unwanted calls any time of the day!!!!!!!!! This one called early this morning and hung up as many do!!!!!!!!!

They are so lucky I wasnt home when they called...I have caller I.D. and just looked up the number on the internet...I may just pick up the phone the next time and f*ck with them...hehehehe. OMG..yes I would love to donate...5 goats, 6 chickens, and 2 loaves of bread. :):)

8 calls in 3 days - mo message.  I finally answered.  It was a Breast cancer society looking for donations.  They offered a calendar of women showing their breast as a "reminder" of how important was.  after further grilling, 20% goes to breast cancer research - the other 80% goes for the call center and soft core porn shoots.  They were very straight with my.  I donated $100.  $10 per breast, $80 for the smut calender.

I received a call from this Cancer Society solicitor yesterday while I was busy.  I hung up; end of conversation.  I checked my received calls list and found that I was called 3 more times yesterday evening while I was out.  Today is Saturday and it is 2PM.  I have received 5 calls since 8:30 this morning.  Each time I answer they hang up!  This is extremely aggravating, I too am on the DNCL.  I checked out their website this morning after the first call...WHAT A JOKE!  Please, do not give to this company.  It is certainly some scum bag playing on peoples kind hearts and emotions.  Can you tell I'm angry and frustrated?  Why do we have the DNCL if it lets predators like this into your home?

First call from this number. Male caller said "We're calling about, you know, breast cancer research; wondering if we can send you an envelope." Immediately sounded fishy to me with the "you know." most telemarketers are trained to avoid that. I said "An envelope?" He said, "Yes, we're hoping you can send us back a donation." I said, "You can send the envelope but I can't guarantee a donation." He said "OK" and hung up on me. Not a real charity telemarketer, for sure. Probably wanted to ask personal info during the spiel.

Best strategy, suggested to me by Brian W. of Jackson MS is: sound eager to donate, say "tell me all about it", then put down the phone and go about your daily tasks. You don't have to listen - the ack-ack signal will tell you when to go hang up the phone again. They will keep talking for a while which wastes their time and therefore, their money. They hate that and will probably not call back.

Have gotten a call from this number at least once or twice every DAY for the past week or so!  I never pick up calls from these "TOLLFREE" or PRIVATE numbers, and I press the RECEIVE FAX now on my fax machine.  This way, the computer or operator on the other side will mark my number as a FAX and hopefully, take it off the calling list.
