I agree that calls from charities that have less than a certain percentage of the donation going to the charity should also be on the Do Not Call Registry.  They should make it at least 80% goes to charity.  Of course, we wouldn't get the calls then, because it wouldn't be lucrative to these places.  

Called and hung up when I said I was on the Do Not Call List.  Didn't even attempt to say they were a charity.

Received call from this number on December 23rd around 5:30 in the evening.

Received this call on 12/26!  I'm on the DNC list.  I DO NOT want solicitors or charities calling me!  Especially the day after Christmas!

How do you get these people to stop calling me over 10x a day!

I though that calls of this type was to be eleminated by the call blocker system that was signed up for.

Just got one at 5:30 pm (jan 5th)If the call is 'unknown'I unfortunately still have to answer- as I am working with a Gov. agency (they all uses toll free or unknown)and never know if it's them, or? So I answer.
*I picked up the phone, but said my business' name...She said, "oh, you are a business? I'm sorry! Goodbye."
Maybe I should always answer this way, even after 5 P.M.

I, also am on the do not call registry and I still get these calls daily, too. Is there a way to block these calls?

I'm getting calls from this number very early in the morning and late at night.  When I do answer No one says anything.  Very annoying!  I am on the No call list so this should not be happening.

9 times a day- how -no one there

I wish they would just identify themselves, even if it's for charity.  I may be more apt to answer.

A woman called our house asking for Benefict Alice. I said that you have the wrong # and then she asked if I was the Mrs. of the house. Since I'm not she said she'd call back. We don't get too many unsolicited calls on this # thankfully but I will talk to their supervisor in order to get our # removed.

It is (probably) the National Cancer Society (attempting to) raise money.  In the current economic climate, it seems the non-profit fundraisers are getting as persistent and hostile as the debt collectors(!) as no one has any money to give them and donations are last on your list when money is limited.  Anyhow I gave'm the "button" (device to send "your call can not be completed as dialed, please check the number and dial again or call your operator to help you") as I previously had let my computer automatically give them the hang up and they still called again.  I think "the button" will have done the job, because time has passed and I am sure they had time to check the number and they did not dial again or it would have wrang, this was 9:01AM this morning.

The address associated with this phone number is a single family dwelling in a neighborhood of single family dwellings. I don't care who they are, I don't want my phone ringing unless it's one of my friends. That's it.

I told her that I had $1000 cash to donate if they'd come to the house in an hour.  Hung up, and nobody showed up.  Mister Smith and Mister Wesson are disappointed.

GET THIS CALL ALL THE TIME. I pick it up and hang up just to stop the phone from ringing. Tthe do not call list means nothing.

Just received a call. When I answered they hungup...called them back and left them a message to remove me from their calling list or I will report them to the FTC.

Continue to receive calls from number,but am on the DNC list. Want caller to stop.

what gives with this  stuff

why bother being on the do not call list when everybody who wants calls you?
