I have NEVER used CheckSmart or any other similiar service but yet I get these calls every day since I got my current phone number 10 months ago. They do not stop calling and they do not care that I have never used them more less even heard of them. These people are very rude. So its not always a matter of people not paying their bills. Some time this company just gets the wrong number and won't quit calling.

Checksmart is the worst harassing nightmare I have ever dealt with in my entire life.  They wud call from 8:30 a. m. til 9:00 alternating @ every hour between my cell phone and home phone.  I have no way of knowing if they ever called my work phone.  While the corporate office was calling, the local office was calling at the same rate.  Most of the most threatening messages were from the local office. They are rude, threatening and just plain ignorant. Even after clearing the matter up when I called to confirm that it posted that way, I had the pleasure of one last ignorant, rude call to endure.  THAT COMPANY - CHECKSMART SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR DESTROYING PEOPLES LIVES, AND ADDING TO THE STRESS THAT INNOCENT PEOPLE ARE ALREADY DEALING WITH.

These people are checks mart, with whom I have never done business.  They continue to call my cell phone asking for Robert Cunningham-despite the fact I continue to tell them I don't know
Robert Cunningham and this is not his phone!  Enough already!!!  Wrong number!!!

When you borrow money from checksmart it is your responsibility to pay it back. When you cash a check at checksmart you are responsible if that check bounces. If you don't pay your loan back they will call you a lot, and eventuality send you to collections. But if your check bounces ( ck u cashed) they can file a report with police and there will be a warrent for your arrest. If they're calling you and you've never dealt with them it means someone put your name as a reference. If you confronted them and they denied they're probably lieing. Keep in mind that you signed a lot of papers at checksmart, read the print in future.

This call is from a collection agency representing the Insight prepaid Master Card.  I used this card to direct deposit paychecks from a part time job I've had for more than two years.  I haven't had anything direct deposited on it for a few weeks though because I'm on medical leave from the part time job.  Some how I ended up going over the money I had preloaded on my card by $3.20.  They are calling to collect this enormous debt from me.  Which is strange because I just talked to someone from the check cashing store I got the card through the other day and told them I would be in tomorrow to pay the $3.20.  She agreed to this payment arrangement.  By the way, she said they didn't charge me an overdraft fee because the amount was less than $10.00.  I wonder how much the collection agency paid to buy this debt from Insight.  The company is actually losing money by calling me.  What a waste of time, effort and resources.  Someone is asleep at the wheel.

Are you all aware of something called the Fair Debt Reporting Act. This act states that you have the right to request in writing that a debt collector no longer call you at a specific number. You can send them a certified letter and they MUST comply or they are in violation of the act and that is actionable in court. If they claim they didn't get the letter you have the signed receipt. If they refuse to sign the receipt upon delivery then it's time to file a class action suit. These people are sharks in business suits and it's time to go about the business of putting them out of business. They are bullies who threaten decent people with hallow threats. Do your homework folks. Learn their tactics. Do not let them get the best of you.

The call came to my work phone.  I called back.  It was from First Cash Corporate Office.  One of my friends left my name as a reference in case they needed to get in touch with her and couldn't find her.  I didn't give them my name or number, but I DID know the person to whom they referred.  Still, the secrecy ("You have reached THE CORPORATE OFFICE!) was annoying and pretentious.

Corporate Office is representing several different on-line Pay Day Loan companies and, once you give them the number that they called for you, they will tell you which company they are calling in reference to.  I gave them the information for my attorney and told them to refer all future questions to him, and I have not heard from them since.

They have been calling  me and leaving a message for some girl named heather said that they were cash one. But they were calling for the wrong person... so i called them back to let them know they had the wrong number and because I do'nt like getting calls so the guy put me on hold a while.
Told him I dont know who she is and he questioned me a couple times to make sure I guess but was polite enough and said thanks so hopefully they wont call more.

like missjen, I have never been to checksmart or any of the like, and am not in default of any loan.  This call never comes through but always goes straight to voicemail with a bunch of beeps.  Today was the first time a message was recorded.
