Hey there Pete. Interestingly enough, I've never once had any credit problems and have been actively employed and in school since I was 16. I'm 22 now and already a supervisor in a Fortune 500 company where my degree is put to good use. The only reason I'm getting called is because one of my employees used me as a reference without my knowledge. So now I'm trying to fix the issue, and come across your pathetic response. Even if it was my monetary problems that caused me to have to deal with Checksmart's rude ways, it's still completely unacceptable. They are hassling me when I'm definitely not the problem.

Thanks for the info everyone!  I JUST got this phone and the number and someone is calling me 6 times a day, told them I was not the person they were looking for and that I just got this phone.  So with your information I found two locations nearby that I WILL visit and have them remove me from there calling list!

Yeah sometimes they do call you for no reason. I've never had a loan from checksmart. I cashed a check there once because it was close to my job. Now they call me all the time. Maybe you shouldn't be so judgmental.

I didn't call it - I decided to check online for clues.  Now, I am definitely not going to call them because it might trigger a list of others who will do the same.

Yes this number continues to call my cell phone and doesn't leave a message, I'm sure I have done business in the past with them, however not recently. My purse was stolen a month ago so am wondering if my ID was used and what I do about it now?

Are you [***] serious? Things happen where people can't pay back loans right away, it doesn't mean they aren't trying or that they're a "POS". Get off your high horse ignorant ass.

Checksmart is ridiculous.  I cashed a paycheck in the beginning of September.  I got a call in October (and it was later in the afternoon) saying that the check came back for insuffient funds and that I had like 2 hours to pay them back the amount in full plus some stupid fee or I was going to go to prison.   I told them I didn't write the check, they should go after the writer of the check and that I wouldn't cash a check that I knew to be bad.  "Gail" then put me on the phone with her "supervisor" who wouldn't give me his name and he called me every name in the book and demanded I give him the money.  I told him AGAIN that I didn't have the money from a check I cashed a month ago and that he should contact the person that wrote it.  I didn't hear from them again until yesterday.  I got a voicemail from Gail saying that she hopes I enjoy my time in prison and that she is glad someone like me is going to miss seeing my kids grow up.  This is unacceptable to me.  First of all, I had been cashing checks there for at least 10 years so why would I cash a bad one?  And then today I get a letter from them dated January 2nd.  It says that I have 10 days to pay back the money in full they would contact the state police.  The letter was postmarked January 14th which is 12 days after they gave me their 10 day demand!  I contacted an attorney who said this is a tactic they use to scare people into giving them money so they don't lose anything.  Well I am pissed and I am going to figure out who I can report them too.  I am a single mother of 3 small kids, and now I have to worry that the cops are going to break down my door for a check that I didn't even write???

Keep calling asking for a Sarah. Told them there was none associated with this number. Take me off your list. Two months later, still receiving calls for Sarah...lady was extremely rude, then told me I had better lose my attitude. Reporting if I receive one more call.
