Todavía  y a pesar de la nueva ley para los consumidores, estamos desprotegidos ante los abusos de alguna empresa como Mcafee. Han renovado una suscripción de un sofware que no he solicitado. Me han cargado en mi targeta de credito 49,94 euros. Ahora para que me reembolsen el dinero que me han cargado tengo que gastarme más dinero sobre la llamada de telefono que tengo que hacer sin que, tenga ninguna garatía de que me reembolse mi dinero. Esto debería estar penado con el cierre de la compañía pues se lo hacen a muchas personas. Lo considero una estafa

I was astounded to see £ 42 gone through my CC. Good that I checked. I have to call the number provided. Even if they return the money, I think it is cheating. May be even FRAUD because the money has been taken without my consent. I had bought my new computer through Dell and  had been on a free subscription with Mcafee which ended sometime on April last year . may be it is worth informing Dell as well. This is bad marketing.

Just noticed unauthorized $37.17 charge on my visa card from Mcafee. I have not used their product for a long time and have no intention to purchase it. Will dispute the charge. I also saw 866... number on my caller id recently.

Somebody needs to start a class action suit against these people!!!!

Checking my Credit Card statement, noticed a payment for $ 129.95 had gone out without my knowledge to McAfee 866-622-3911 CA.  I had had no notification or correspondance regarding this. What can be done to get refund?

called and told McAfee under NO circumstanes to charge my credit card with re-newable fees----HAVE NOT USED McAFEE for over 7 years !!!IS THIS THE WAY TO CONDUCT BUSINESS?????????

I read all the posts. Same thing happened to me. I got charged on my credit card for a McAfee product I don't have or use. I'm in a country that is not listed to receive 24/7 customer or tech support from McAfee so this is really frustrating. I called my credit card company and they asked me to file a dispute to get a refund. How on earth do I contact McAfee so that they will stop this kind of practice? The number on the McAfee website cannot be reached and I have to wait 24 hours for them to call me back if I do manage to get in touch with their customer support.

Terrible customer support service if you ask me.

I had a transaction on my credit card from McAfee for $99.95 that I did not authorise.
I contacted by bank and have cancelled my credit card and will no longer use their security.
Apparently we need security from McAfee.

Although polite and helpful when I called to cancel the "automatic" renewal service ($89.99), I feel that the renewal and subsequent charge to my credit card constitutes unethical business practices. How can I continue to trust a company with my computers, not to mention my credit card number, that uses such tactics? They told me I would have a refund within 5 days.

Norton lost my business several years ago for somewhat similar actions. I will now forget about both those companies and support Avira and AVG.

Hey Abhi greetings from the United States check out what happened to me. My credit card had a positive balance of $8 and I was not checking my statements because I knew they owed me money. When I did check my statement I saw the charge from Mcafee for $69.99 it was after the due date. So I now have a late fee and I cannot get a refund because it is past 60 days from the date of the charge.

Now I admit even though I am carrying a positive balance and even though I made no charges to my card I should have checked my statements. I admit that, but the computer that had the Mcafee antivirus was a Dell computer that has been thrown away in 2008.

I got the computer in April 2007 and after 11 months and in spite of Mcafee it got a virus that caused every program and application to be locked out. The desk top back ground changed to an all red field with yellow letters that spelled" click here". When I clicked on it the browser opened to a web site which just so happened to have the only antivirus able to resolve my problem and they wanted me to start a $39.99 a month subscription.

It was not hard for me to reckon where the virus that downed my computer came from for that reason I pulled the hard drive and [***] canned the Dell. I bought an Apple/Macintosh which I am using now. In April of 2008 a month after the Dell computer was thrown out Dell re-upped my Mcafee subscription for 3 years. After the 3 years was up Mcafee renewed my subscription and charged my cc.

+$15.00 late fee from credit card company
=$74.99 lesson: check statements always never buy a Dell and stay away from Mcafee.

BTW the Apple Computer is Brilliant. :)

Mcafee have taken £54.99 from our account without any authorisation from us and we want it back . please reply.

Seems the reference number is standard.   I have had the same thing done to me using that number and I note it was also quoted by others with complaiants listed.

I did not want the continued service and phoned to cancel it.   Hopefully I will receive a refund.

They are stupid and not helpful.

This has just happened to me. McAfee took £48 from my account despite the fact that I have NEVER bought any products from them.

This is theft, plain and simple.

Has anyone ACTUALLY gotten their refund back? They just scammed me too
