Just got a call from this number at our business.  She said they were calling from a labor law poster place, trying to get us to buy those posters we can get for free elsewhere.

Just also got a call and they asked who handled the labor laws at our business...

Call came to Kansas at 09:59 hours CST on 1-18-10. Call not answered and no message left. Other sites advise that this is a telemarketer for Discover cards.

I called Discover and the lady I was forwarded to said she did not recognize the number and suggested I call it directly.  She would not say it was not a Discover number.  I called 866-831-4847 and was answered by a tape loop that repeated twice, "You have been contacted for marketing research or a sales call" then hung up.

I have been receiving these calls for a while... no one ever speaks.  Tonight I said, "hello" and I waited for about 15 seconds, then heard a taped version of my own voice saying "hello."  I do not own nor have I ever had a Discover Card account.  I am on the national and state do not call lists as well.  Way past annoyed with these calls.  May cancel my landline if these types of calls keep up.

The rep (Sabrina) said she was calling from some sort of health benefit package. She was talking very fast and was trying to get me to commit to buying the package without me even seeing what it was. She said that for $54.90 per month they would cover my entire family and pay directly to me  $50 for every ER visit, $200 for ambulance transport, and $400 a day for everyday I am in the hospital should I have been admitted.

That's all well and good, but I wanted to be able to SEE all of this in writing so I asked her to send something to me in email and she said they don't do that. She then proceeds to ask about my checking account. I asked her why and she said so that they would have to draft the first month's premium in order for me to get the infomation packet because they don't send it until AFTER you pay the premium.

I told her that we had not gotten to the "payment" stage just yet because I was still unclear about their program. She says to me, very rudely, that she was going to transfer me to a "licensed" insurance agent for him to take my payment. I told her to hold on again because I was not prepared to commit to this yet. I told her I needed to speak to my husband first. She says (rudely again) that is what the trial period is for (this is the first time I am hearing about a trial period) and we could look it over once I pay the first $54.90 and proceeds to try to transfer me again.

I told her not to transfer me and that she was being a little pushy in her sales process. She said, "I don't think I'm being pushy at all". I said, "Yes, you are." She continues to rudely speak over me so I kindly disconnected the call.

i get this call about 3 x a day and usually noone answers me. i'm on the national do not call list. i would this call to be blocked somehow. it is very annoying.

This number has called me 3 times in the past 2 days, and two of those times have been today. I haven't answered the calls, and nobody leaves a message. Very, very annoying.

Please can someone stop the calling from 866-831-4847

to let you know... charitable organizations and places you have done business with are exempt from the national do not call list.... sorry!!! hahahah

then u need identity theft protection!! someone must have stolen your identity to open a discover account.. hmmmm imagine that!

They keep calling several times a week and even several times a day. Will let it go to answering machine and no one leaves a message.  It is getting really annoying.

Received a call from this number today. No message. Blocked them. If you have ATT service you can block the number by dialing, *60 then dial #01#.  Poof! They're history!

This number shows up several times a day on my caller ID.  I called Discover Card and the service rep checked it twice and said it was not one of their outsource telemarketers.  I don't know who to report this to now.  I'm tired of them calling and then hanging up when I do answer.

Multiple calls.  No message.

Getting pretty sick and tired of these people calling everyday and not saying anything.  Can't anything be done about it.
