Calls constantly!!

Get calls from this number every day 2 - 3 times a day for the past several months. No message or reply when I answer the call. I live in Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Receive a call from this number several times a day.  I do not answer and they do not leave a message on my machine.  I called the number back and a recording says "you have been contacted for marketing research or a sales call." I am also on the GOV do not call list and will report the number immediately.

Received call at 3:20 CST today from this number and lady said hello after I did, then hung up.  There was lots of noise in the background like a call center.

Caller called at 1:10 p.m. saying she was Joan Carter with Discover Card trying to sell me an identity theft protection plan for $9.99 per month.  She spoke very unprofessionally and hung up when I declined the service and asked to be removed from the call list.  I reported the call to donotcall.gov and called 1-800-DISCOVER.  They could not verify if the number was associated with Discover Card but did remove me from the marketing call list.  Hopefully that will help if the caller was really from Discover!

Someone was there once, I asked what account they were representing? She got rude and said "fine, if you don't want to take advantage of our offer"

They call my house 4-5 times a day,I answered once today and heard people talking in the background but no one talked to me.

Whoever this is has called me at least 4 times each day almost every day since 10/13/08. It disconnects right away when my answering machine calls. I'm assuming it must be a computer dialed phone call, but it sets off the little beep on my answering machine until I play back the call to erase the message that is not there and that is annoying.

I just got the first dreaded call from 866-831-4847 about 4 hours ago and now there have been 4 more calls , the first 3 I didn't pick up and they left no voicemail , the last one about 10 minutes ago , I picked it up and they hung up... I sure hope this isn't gonna continue, This is a cell phone too. :(

they call me twice every few days

I have received 6 calls today and 6 calls yesterday for this number. I don't answer because of caller ID, and they are calling my cell. The calls start around 5:30-6:00pm and are 45 to 50 min apart. These calls just started yesterday. From reading the above postings the number is associated w/Discover Card, which I don't even have. I don't have credit cards period. Interesting!!
I will call my cell company to see if they can block the calls.

VERY ANNOYING AND FRUSTRATING!!!!

I have no idea who is trying to contact me from this number. I get random calls but they never leave a message so I know it's not important. It's happening very frequently, daily and it's really annoying.

For the past week, I have received about 5 calls a day, and no one is ever on the phone.

This number is from Clean Water Action, asking me to vote for Obama.  I asked them to stop, but they said they can't stop it for at least 30 days.

I get a call from them every day. I finally picked up today and there was a lot of background noise...almost as if they were at a party...laughing and what not. Anyhow, I said hello a few times and was about to hang up when a man came on the phone and said "hello hello hello hey hey hey bye!" in a really creepy voice. It scared the living crap out of me.

They call several times a day and hang-up if I answer. I am also registered on the Do Not Call list.

they call every day and every they say they will take me off the call list but never do , what can be done to get rid of them ?  They are looking for a different Mathes for a collection bill

866-831-4847 calls several times a day.  Once they left a hard to hear message and I made it out to say "I know you're on the do not call list.  We'll still be calling you back.  Love you".  Who are these people and how can I get it to stop?
