I called them 866-831-4847 and this number is marketing research from Discover card. After they transfer you 3 or 4 times. After they play helpless and stupid a few times (Let me see if we can get the number removed & let me re-transfer & give us more information about you and etc) they said that my number was off.

This number calls my home 3 - 5 times a day. I never pickup and it never leaves a message. I found out it is connected to Discover Card. I called their customer service and said I wanted to be taken off their call list. The girl said she would take care of it. I'll bet you can't guess who called an hour later.

We keep getting calls from 866 831 4847 but they don't leave messages or respond when we answer.  We are on the Do Not Call list, yet they continue to call.

We also get calls from 8668314847 that hang up or don't leave a message. Why call if you aren't going to say anything? Is it some trick, similar to spammers who wait for email replies to know they have a working address to spam even more?

Called at 9:50am, picked up...and then they hung up.

866-831-4847 calls twice, sometimes three times a day.  No voicing at the other end of the line.  I have not answered the last EIGHT calls from them this week.  I have not yet called the number back, but will probably do so if the calls continue in to next week. I have reported the number to the Do Not Call Registry.

My hangups were from Discover -- I'm now on their donotcal list.

Called several times a day.   Tried answering the phone and hanging up to make them stop and they called back repeatly.  Next time I let the answering machine pick up and they left a message saying my name and it to answer the phone it was a matter of life or death!!

They have called my home repeatedly every day for the last several weeks, sometimes after I'm asleep. My wife has been out of town so when they ask for her they will not say who they are or why "because it's against the law." They make it seem as though they are a bill collector. They've hung up on me several times as well. I contacted Discover and verified the calls are coming from them. I am a federal employee and I have contacts at the FCC (they don't do much otherwise). I let them know that I was going to do everything in my power to expose their practices, including contacting the media.

Calls 2 or 3 times a day, doesn't leave a message.

Calls many times per day then hangs up. ID says "Unknown name". I have filed a complain with the do not call list.

This number has called 13 times today and left no message.

I am on the do not call list.

I keep getting calls from this number 866-831-4847. They hang up when I answer & the never leave a message when the machine picks up. Sometimes they call up to 7-8 times a day and never speak when I pick up the phone. When you call back the number its states that you have been contacted for a slaes or marketing call. Then hangs up. So you can't even tell them to stop calling you! I am registed on the do not call list & have filed a complaint. But I also filed a complaint with the FCC today. Receiving about 5 calls per day from this number, says "Unknown" so I have not answered.

I on the do not call list but these creeps keep calling. The phone rings 3 to  4 times or so before it stops. I guess they think I'll answer but I don't. Telemarketing has become a curse.,

They call me ask to talk to me, when someone answer I'm not home they hang up up right away with very impolite way. They bother me all the time

The call is a major interruption of what I am doing.  I have to much to do for this BS!  I reported it to the donotcall registry.  If you want to do the same, go to www.donotcall.gov .  I have two other numbers I have also reported.  I am going to be on this like glue to END this cr*p!

Calls daily one to two times. When I call the # it says you are targeted for telemarketing or research and goes dead then not allowing a message to stop calling.
