I got a call from this number and it turns out that it was a family member calling from jail through Securus

Legitimate call; someone I know is incarcerated and is making a telephone call. Not a scam.

The name of the person is given early in the call.  Most likely while your outgoing message is playing

Received two calls from this number on my cell phone, afternoon of April 2, 2017; did not recognize, did not answer.  Left a recorded message:  "Your cell phone location may be recorded and used for investigative purposes.  If you wish to accept this call for a charge of $9.99 added to your cell phone bill, press 1. (silence for a few seconds)  I'm sorry I did not hear your response.  (repeated the part about location, investigation, press 1,)"  I blocked the number.

It doesn't matter if you are on the do not call list, the inmate calls YOUR number.

Got 2 calls back to back from an Inmate in a prison. If i accept call it will charge me $14.99. Couldn't understand the name either of who was calling from Jail. Their loss, scam..

For those of you saying it's not a scam. Why are you posting here?  Why would you search for a number that isn't a scam?  You wouldn't be here if the number were legit.

This is definitely a inmate call.. I just answered my phone from this 877-710-3334 number.. And it came from Saline County Jail in Salina, Ks. which i live in Salina.. But the inmate had the wrong number cause i know myself with out my cell ohone I wouldn't remember a number correctly.. SO YES IT IS COMEING FROM A INMATE!! But they may have the wrong number when they call..

The reason that I searched the number last night was because it went to my voicemail. Today I got another call from the same numbert 877-710-3334 and it is an inmate at Saline County Jail in Salina Kansas and I do live in Salina Kansas so apparently the person that is calling does not have their cell phone on them and has got the number wrong.. it does suck nowadays which we have cell phones to hold all your phone numbers. So this isn't a prank phone call nor a scam.. it has to be an inmate from a jail or a prison that has got the wrong phone number so apparently if you have gotten a call from this phone number it could be someone that has the wrong number calling out period period period it is NOT a scam just to let you know..

My husband has been getting calls and text messages . .threatening text messages about shooting us in the face etc etc...very irritating and a little disconcerting

I got this call from my friend, he is in jail, I paid 10$ for 10mintues charged on my verizon phone. I feel the price is high.

But don't you get to hear who the call is from? First and last name before you accept?

Says it is Allen County Detention Center & wants you to accept a collect call for 14.99 from someone. This call was made to both mine & my husband's cell phone & they used our son's first name.

It's NOT spam. As a minister, I've received inmate calls from this number several times. You do get a crazy voicemail message if you don't answer wanting you to put money on the account. Ignore that. If they call back and you answer, it should ask you to accept a free call from an inmate. That part is free.

Not a scam call. Used from jail. Mine was Newago, County in Michigan. It was my daughter.

Call asking to accept charge to credit card of $14.99. unknown source. 3 calls in 2 hours.

This is a BIg SCAM... don't be a fool and get caught :)

I got a call earlier today from a 6185099990 claiming someone named Charlie is in St clair county jail (belleville IL) but I dont know a Charlie.. then later on around 8pm I recieved another call only this one was from the 8777103334 number and it said the same thing. To accept the call and pay 14.99 via credit card for a 15min talking window or pay 10bucks and have it on my phone bill for a 10 min talk. But i DO NOT KNOW anyone who has my number who could be in jail, let alone a Charlie... is this a scam? Is it real? It sure is baffling me. But I am not going to accept or give out my information and make myself a victim,thats for sure!
