this is NOT a SCAM. it is a nationwide service for Inmates of multiple facilities, all over the country.  Securus Technologies is an American for-profit prison technology company based in Dallas, Texas. Founded in 1986 with regional offices located in Carrollton, Texas, Allen, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia. So, all of you people who hang up are IGNORING your Family & Friends that are trying to contact you.

Not a scam... It is actually Securus Inmate calling services... an inmate is trying to make a collect call, usually the inmate records their name at it is played within the first 5 seconds, but sometimes the robot starts talking before you pick up.  The obnoxiously high dollar amounts you here really is the cost of an inmate calling home/friend.  Ideally, if you don't know anyone incarcerated, you shouldn't be getting this call.

Just received a call from this number. I don't answer 800 numbers.  A short recording was left. It said, your cell phone location is being tracked for investigation purposes. What a bunch of bs

I got 20 calls in one day from 877-710-3334

Its a number all jails and correctional facilities use. My brother calls from this number. They leave a short message and to actually talk to them you have to pay $15.

Gotten about 5 calls from this number over a 3 month period, know no one in jail, scam!

Why and who is this person calling me from jail they said they were some one called Tammy which I don't know them how do I stop it

It's not a Scam. It's an inmate telephone service. You have to pay for the inmates calls. You may not know that the person is there.

Caller stated if I pressed 1, I would accept a charge for $14.99.  Sounds like a scam, called me 3 times in a row.

Called at 2:07AM...I didn't hear it, voicemail said to accept the charge of $14 for 10 min press one, to accept the charge of $13 for 9 min press 2.

got called from this number at work while I was on the other line - it rolled into voicemail with a message that if I wanted to continue the call I could charge the call to my phone or give a credit card number for $14 for the next 10 minutes.... SCAM

It's a third party that does calls for inmates in jail. It's not just one jail but several. The elderly couple I work for gets a call from their Grandson about 8 times a day. I'm trying to find out how to block the calls.
