This recording has called my cell phone 4 times within 3 hours. Keep leaving a recorded message saying I need to pay $14.99 to pay for a 15 mt phone call and that I can give my debit card to use for future use. Crazy scam. So irritating that I am going to keep getting these prank calls now on my personal cell #. UGH!

This is a phone company that makes money off of inmates. If you receive this call, it is someone calling from prison. You will be asked to prepay $15 for 20 minutes and $9.99 for each additional 10 minutes.

I just got the same call... is it a scam? I'm not sure that I know anyone in jail, and even if I did, the recording said nothing about jail that I heard??

Said that it was a call from an inmate at the county jail. They used the name of the county I live in. They asked for $14.99 and wanted my credit card number. HaHa, No way Josè. Scam. Beware

Received a call from this number. didn't recognize it so didn't answer.  Got a 2 minute voice message from a computer saying if I wanted to continue this call a $9.89  charge would be sent to my bill. if I wanted to add to a prepaid card then blah, blah, blah.

nope its at least the drunk tank. My son called me from it and I'm not apart of the scam team, if there is one. Praying for my boy. He's in California. I'm in Virginia

Call the number back and follow the promps to have your number blocked. It's all automated. I've had two of these calls in the past two weeks and decided to take this action

This is ridiculous. Call everyday, even block3d number. How do they keep getting through. Ugh

It's not a scam, it's an inmate calling collect.  If you don't know someone who is incarcerated and don't want to make a new friend, probably best to hang up....

They serve county jails across the country.

Scam, automated call left a voicemail and asked me to go to a website.  I didn't bother, it's a scam

It is a real inmate calling.  If you don't know anyone that is jail or prison, chances are they just have the wrong phone number.  Inmates likely don't have access to phone books, or their own cell phone to look up numbers. So they are probably trying to remember someone's number they are trying to reach.  Just disregard the call if you know it's not intended for you.  It's not a scam.  They're just out of money on their commissary card.

It is not a scam, someone got arrested and tried to call me from this number, I didn't answer because I didn't know the number & it was someone I know that was in jail.

It is most definitely a scam! They are calling my 12 year old sons phone every day. Pretty sure none of his friends are in jail and  if they were would probably call their parents

I get about 10 calls a day answered the first , don't know no body in jail i blocked the number

No scam , definitely a jail inmate
