- Ken replies to keighteyI really do not understand why the law cannot prohibit this badgering. Calling all hours of the night, not leaving messages when they call. I owe no debts and I have a AAA credit rating. I have reported this to the proper authorities and they tell me thay cannot do anything about it, but will investigate when they receive enough complaints. What a bunch of crap! We should all resort to homing pidgeons for communications and put these people and the phone companies out of business since the phone company says their hands are tied also. Boy, I bet you if we all boycotted our respective telephne providers, they would find a way to put a stop to this harrassment immediately.

- L.M.Three calls today. This has been going on all week. Won't leave a message. I answer the phone and many times I get silence or if there is a recorded message it is requesting me to call about an outstanding debt. An unpaid debt that I do not or EVER had. I don't even know who they want to speak to. I am disabled and cannot take down the file #'s and phone #'s the person rattles off.

- RobI watched a friend of mine today deal with these thugs. They called him twice today, he decided to fight back. He would call them back and when someone picked up he blew a whistle loud into the phone and would hang up. He would immediately call back and do the same thing. If the answering machine picked up he would blow the whistle to be recorded. If they pushed him off to recorded messages he would press the phone buttons until someone picked up, then he'd blow the whistle loud into his/her ears. He was tenacious. Soon as he would hang up he would call right back and continue doing this for about an hour. The last time someone picked up it was a man who sounded a bit shaky. My friend said, "You want to harass people you idiots. Call this number one more time and I'll show you how to harass people, I'll harass you day and night." and he hung up on them. All of you should try this. Use a whistle, yell, scram, whatever. Be relentless. These people hate being harassed. You can tell by the tone of their voice (I listened to everything on an extension phone) that it gets to them.

- Rob| 1 replyMy friend Dusty called me today to come over and listen to how he was going to deal with this company. When you call you first get a message stating who the company is, then a message that if you know your party's extension to dial it now. Dusty just waited for someone to pick up. The person gives his/her name and say that the call is being recorded/monitored. Dusty first said, "You do not have my permission to record this conversation. You have to turn your recording devise off, that's the law." The person told Dusty that they have to disconnect then since they can't legally record the conversation. Dusty called right back. He tells the person that he himself is recording the conversation and there's nothing they can do about it, and that he does not give them permission to record him. He told them that he is recording his own statement requesting them to stop calling "this number." They asked "What number are you calling from?" Dusty said, "You have the equipment tracing this call, don't play with me idiot. You're being recorded." They hung up. Dusty called right back. This went on for about 2 hours. When they put Dusty onto their "leave a message" system Dusty would leave a message telling them to stop calling, they were not allowed to record him, they know what number he's calling from, and that he was going to continue calling until he got satisfaction. He'd hang up and call right back. If they put him on hold he'd hang up and call right back. About an hour into this some guy picked up and said in a threatening tone, "You betta stop calling my phone." Dusty called right back and told the lady who picked up, "Your employee just threatened me. I have it recorded and I'm going to nail your phone [***] tucus.." They often tried to put Dusty in an endless loop, have him hold on, etc. Each time Dusty would hang up and call back immediately and demanded they stop calling him, and that he was going to keep calling until he had them on tape stating they would stop calling him. Like I said, this went on about 2 hours. Then they had a change of attitude. It was all "Yes sir." "No sir." "Please sir." The lady said "I'm removing your number from our computer sir. Give us 24 hours." Dusty said, "No! It stops immediately. If I get one more call from you after this I'll show you what harassment really is. You think the last 2 hours were bad you haven't seen anything yet." "Yes sir" she replied. Dusty said, "You see how tenacious I am?" "Yes sir." "You want to fall into this again?" "No sir. You won't be hearing from us again sir. Have a nice day sir."
You have the right to deny them from recording your conversation, state it and let them know that is the law. Be tenacious, keep calling back. I know it will seem hopeless at times, as you won't get through to someone, but keep at it. They hate it. They can't handle it, they can't handle being treated the way they treat their victims. Don't be another one of their victims, fight back. Keep calling. Many times the lady would said, "Please hold." and Dusty would hang up and call right back. He showed no mercy. No need to yell, no need to use vulgarity. Just be relentless. Let them know you're recording the conversation and you're recording your own request that they stop calling you. And make sure you record everytime someone picks up. Record the greeting when you first call, so you have a record of the name of the company, their standard greeting. Don't give up, even if it takes 2 hours, don't give up. Get them to admit on tape that they are removing your number and won't call you again. You can get all the recording equipment you need from a Radio Shack pretty cheap. You can fight back, you need to fight back. Don't give in and don't give up. When they keep trying to ignore you, you know you've gotten to them. One even said he insisted that Dusty not call them anymore and hung up. Dusty called right back and kept at it. After 2 hours Dusty got them on tape stating that they were removing his number and would not call him again. It gets to be a lot of fun turning the tables on them. Dusty and I had a really fun time putting them in their place. You can, and should do it too. Oh, one last thing, when they said they were removing the number she said who she was looking for, the name didn't sound familiar but Dusty said, "I don't give a damn who you're looking for. You're not going to harass me anymore." Don't give them any information whatsoever. Fight back, you can win.- Caller: ALW Sourcing LLC

- JANICEI think they are trying to collect debts as old as 10 years or more. I am being called and they are asking for my old name when I was married. I have not usd that name since late 90s. Fair Debt Collections Practices Act does have laws. If your [***] is not on my credit report, stop calling me to make me pay debts from 1990 year. They find you when you apply for jobs, student loans, and new car loans. It is against the law to call someone for debts past 10 years and try and make them pay, These debts are not listed on a consumer credit report, you have not right trying to collect these debts. If you are nice when you call and stop talking like a robot reading a script , 9 times out of 10 you will collect your debts. But if you have high blood pressure and is arrogant and fail to listen to the people you are calling. STOP CALLING MY DAMN HOUSE YOUR ASS IS BLOCKED.

- CLO replies to ParmThey leave a message to call 888-379-4884, I am sure I am going to call that number, they are stupid and for one thing I never give my social security numbers to anyone, say what you want and get it over with, stop harrassing.
- CALL YOUR ATTORNEY GENERALTo the message from Jojo, ALW is NOT a real debt collection. A real debt collection leaves a message, and, you are able to call them back. Once you tell them that the person they are looking for,
you do not know or that they have the wrong number--they have no right and it's utter unprofessionalism for them to call you back. Also, if they really want whatever money is owed, why keep calling people who aren't who they are looking for, and, when I pick up, ALW says "GOODBYE" and disconnects. Hey, if ALW is collecting, then speak to me when I pick up. I contacted Attorney General Gansler in Baltimore Maryland (ALW's city and state) and they wrote back for me to contact MY Attorney General. Maybe Gansler would do something about the company in his background (metaphor of course) if everyone wrote about ALW harassing them (and then contact your own Attorney General):

- RJ in Michigan| 1 replyI have received two calls from this number in the past three days. Each time I pick up the phone, I hear a recorded "Hello" followed by a recorded "goodbye". Based on everything I am reading about
these goons, I am motified that the FCC does not step in and bring the long arm of justice down on
them!!! How long do people's lifes have to be infected by such crap? If they are so"illegal" with their tactics then why doesn't at least the various States' Attorneys get to gether and ban them in very state of the Federal government won't act? Bet if they started hounding politicians as much as us "little people" there would be a different approach.- Caller: 888-379-4884
