I have no information about caller 888-379-4884.

I am sick and tired of these people calling our phone lines at all hours of the day and night.
How do you get them to stop?  I guess you have to call the Consumer Law Group and sue
them for harrassment.

Multiple calls / week from "ALW Sourcing" instructing me to call them back.

Wow!!!! What a great example of the dumb [***] who work for ALW Sourcing. Why so upset about the remark that states ALW Sourcing  is a minority-owned and operated company????  Afterall it is true!!  This company IS a bottom of the barrel junk debt buyer, no lie there. You need to calm down Aquamaquisha!

They are not legit. Do not give them any information on the phone. Anything really important should be handled through the mail.

I answered to this number. I said 'Hello' and the person said 'Goodbye', then hung up on me.

You need therapy. Desperately.

i get a call from this number 3 times a week and i say hello can i help you and the response is always no you cant! then they hang the phone up.
when i call them and ask them to stop calling they say there not calling.
My credit is still great and i owe no money to anyone
why do they do this? I do not know.
could be bot calls and they have my # by mistake. but it always sounds like a real person on the other end.
sounds like this company just likes to harass strangers with no business with them.

ALW LLC. called me and left a message to call them back. When I did call them back they put me on hold several times! When I finially got to an agent, she asked to verify my SSN. After her stating the wrong SSN, I told her that it was wrong and to take my phone # off of their list! (I NEVER told them any personal information!!)

No they're not. They perpetrate scams against people who have old debt that's no longer viable.

Some great advice on here. Know your rights. Understand that these scumballs are just trying to collect information on you, which is why they can't ever mention a specific debt and robocall you asking YOU to provide more information.

The morons posting here who work for ALW do not know the law. If it your debt is outside the statute of limitations for your state (http://whychat.5u.com/States/states.html), not only is it no longer collectable, but the company almost certainly wrote off the debt years and years ago. I own a company, so I can tell you - when you write off bad debt from people who didn't pay (for whatever reason), it's deductible on your tax return. So, if you forgot to pay Sears $60 in 1978, really - don't feel bad. Sears deducted it in 1979. (Why not give $60 to a charity instead? I'll explain why in a second).

Companies now sell bad debt to bottom crawlers for pennies on the dollar; those bottom crawlers use companies like ALW to try and collect the debt, which is pure profit, except for the cost of buying names.

The problem is, you could have had your identity stolen (as happened to me), and these scumsuckers will still attempt to collect a debt that isn't even yours.

And in fact, even if the debt is yours, and you try to make good, unfortunately, that doesn't mean the "zombie debt" won't be resuscitated yet again. There is a news story regarding a woman whose identity was stolen, who was charged $5000, took a collection agency to court for trying to collect on debt that was clearly not hers, won $40000 from them, and who... down the road, you guessed it, yet another collection agency had managed to buy her name and this supposed debt and started badgering her.

The more positive thing to do would be not to reward these scummy companies, but to help those who are much more unfortunate than you (well, unfortunate in circumstance, not unfortunate in that they have no morals, like the people who own these collection agencies). Give to your local food bank or homeless shelter.

Left message.  Said they were from ALW LLC .Same as other callers.  Attempting to collect a debt.  Said to call back and ask to speak to Ron Jackson.

These people call my cell phone constantly and leave messages and when I call the number back I get a recording.  I don't owe anyone any money and I don't know what this is about.

I also got a call from this number 888 379 4884.  Asking for someone I know before.  I told them this is not his number.  They ask if they can leave a message to call them back.  When I asked them what this all about, they said it is personal matter.  So I said, if you will not tell me what this all about, then he will not call you back.  The person told me that she just want to know that our conversation may or may not be recorded.  Like threatening me and hanged up.

No you aren't. You buy old debts, even if they have been paid or dismissed and harrass people into paying you. You are Crooks. You are not even liscenced in most states!!!

well they're back at it again. The "do-not-call" period must have ended.

I don't know where you get your information, but what you posted is absolutely false.  Federal guidline prohibit  third party outsourced collections agents from pursuing active collections upon an expeired debt.  If they are so incredibly dense as to transmit negative information to the credit services concerning an expired debt( the length of the statue of limitations  varies from state to state), then it gives rise A priori to a cause of action.

I keep a party air horn next to my phone.  I am on the National DNC registry, and I have no debt.  When a call comes in from companies like ALW, a simple 3 second blast of the air horn pressed up against the speaking end of the receiver takes care of them.  If they call back, they get the same greeting.

Uhm actually, they are BULLSH*T because I am 19 years old, dont pay ANY bills at all-dont have any bills to pay at all & this number calls me daily telling me that i owe money! Thats BS & idc what u or any other ODD BALL has to say about it! Its called HARRASSMENT & that is ILLEGAL & if anyone wants to sue they CAN! Take ur two sense somewhere else!
