Report a phone call from 888-511-1130 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- A Proper Response| 3 repliesNEVER, EVER, provide personal information to anyone over the phone (even if they have a so-called identifiable telephone ID.) IF you decide to answer the phone ask for the name of the individual and their supervisor and mailing address before you answer any question. Inform them you want the calls to stop and for them to send you a mailed statement of the issues involved for your review. Never argue with a $10 an hour solicitor over the phone. IF you want to deal with this firm and have a written record use:
ask@overcashlaw.com
Read this document about your consumer rights. A document ED and his 3 employees do not plan to share with you.
Always keep a notepad of the date and time of the calls should you need further remedies.
I am not a lawyer and these are just my opinions. Personally, I have a low opinion of this firm and its operations.
Since ED does not identify his firm properly on the caller ID I am posting his particulars below.

With a few more clicks of your mouse you can find out even more about this firm and none of it is flattering.
Say ED what are the last four digits of your social security number?
Remember don't give these people any information over the phone. YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO GIVE ANY INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE. IF you must answer the phone solicitor remember they will record the conversation and use it against you. Your best option, if for some strange reason you want to talk with these people is to tell them to mail you a FULL STATEMENT of exactly what they have on file for your account and what they want to know. Share nothing else.
Check with your own state attorney general to find out the legal limits for past debts (these vary by state and the type of debt). REMEMBER when you admit to a debt to ED or anyone else you are opening the door again to the length of time your eligible for payment. On Ed's website it says in the fine print "This law firm is engaged in the collection of consumer debt. All information obtained may be used for this purpose."
You can also check with your phone number to see what options you have to prevent these calls but all such collection agencies they probably have a variety of phone numbers. Having caller ID is well worth the money!
Don't let them make you upset - they is the purpose of the phone calls. These companies buy/sell late payments/debts as a livelihood.
FINALLY, if you do get a written statement about your debt you need to see a lawyer or financial counselor. You will notice however they really don't want to put anything into writing - it is far easier to harass you with a phone call.
Just my opinion. - A Proper Response replies to A Proper ResponsePerhaps you would like to ask Ed some questions at HIS HOME. Seeing how he doesn't much regard for other peoples rights.

- whateverThese fools called me asking about a relative. I always check these foolish calls out. I am not the client they are looking for. If they call me again, i will curse them out. I appreciate people relaying their contact information. Thanks.
- whatever replies to MEGet an education please? Little people who think they have power. Probably the only kind of job you can get. Off the street into the gutter collection scam business.
- whatever replies to DavePlease get an education! That's shouldn't have, not "shouldn't of had". You write like someone under the trailer. Trash talker. You're nothing but a little dictator want to be. Funny how little people with a very limited education criticize others.
- Holly replies to PukiThey said the same thing to me. They are rude and unprofessional. I started crying and the guy announced to the office, "I made her cry, I made her cry" and started clapping and hung up.

- PoppyFieldsReceived a message from Colby w/ the Law Offices of Ed Overcash. Asking for someone I had never even heard of before. Phone # left on msg was 864-233-5800 x152. I thought this was a scam because seriously, the name "Ed Overcash"?? So I googled it and found this site. I called the number back and got Colby directly. I told him I had never heard of the gentleman he was calling about before and asked him not to call my # anymore. He got into his files and said I was listed as family of this person. I again told him NO, I have never heard of this person before. Colby apologized and we ended our call.

- whatever replies to employeePut a monkey in a job and they think they have power to chastise others. Just a bunch of low lifes. You are nothing and you make far less money than i do little guy.
- Whatever replies to employeeFro the employees who comment here. I had two people in my family who worked for collection agencies. They tell me the job sucks and a bunch of pitiful people work at collection agencies. They left your sorry behinds and quit for better jobs. Did you get a bonus? You people are pathetic.
- unknown replies to Bill Collectoryou don't have to be so nasty. You act like yall creditors have problems, but truth be known, yall probably have more debt than the ones yall are trying to collect from.
