    You dont spell, or write correctly, what makes you think you can be the voice of a supposed law firm? He was a judge, a judge doesnt step down to be a collector of debt. Those that have been harrassed are people that had great credit and fell into a life altering situation. The way you come across with your caps and lack of english just shows all of us that you are a "want a be" in the evil rat race. Even your employer cant be in that race any longer. No one steps down from a judge seat to be a bill collector. At some time , some place that will be brought to the surface. But, from here on out, everyone will be willing to go back to the creditors and even pay more than owed as long as your sick little group gets NOTHING!!!

    Karen calls me alot.. Do Not Know what she calls about...never returned her calls because she never has any details, her 'You Must Call Me Back' doesn't quite cut it. Must be a really boring life for her.  Someone called my ex from 23 years ago...like he knows what is going on with me now being 150 miles away, I assume it was them and in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
    I Just sent them letter requesting validation of whatever debt they might think I owe. I have used the following validation letter and it squashes all attempts of collection. (so far)
    Following is the generic validation letter, modify it to suit your needs it works really well:

    June 13, 2001

    Your Name
    123 Your Street Address
    Your City, ST 01234

    Re: Acct # XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

    To Whom It May Concern:

    This letter is being sent to you in response to a notice sent to me on September 30, 2002). Be advised that this is not a refusal to pay, but a notice sent pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 USC 1692g Sec. 809 (b) that your claim is disputed and validation is requested.

    This is NOT a request for “verification” or proof of my mailing address, but a request for VALIDATION made pursuant to the above named Title and Section. I respectfully request that your offices provide me with competent evidence that I have any legal obligation to pay you.

    Please provide me with the following:

    What the money you say I owe is for;
    Explain and show me how you calculated what you say I owe;
    Provide me with copies of any papers that show I agreed to pay what you say I owe;
    Provide a verification or copy of any judgment if applicable;
    Identify the original creditor;
    Prove the Statute of Limitations has not expired on this account;
    Show me that you are licensed to collect in my state;
    Provide me with your license numbers and Registered Agent;
    Provide me with verification that you own this debt.

    At this time I will also inform you that if your offices have reported invalidated information to any of the 3 major Credit Bureau’s (Equifax, Experian or TransUnion) this action might constitute fraud under both Federal and State Laws. Due to this fact, if any negative mark is found on any of my credit reports by your company or the company that you represent I will not hesitate in bringing legal action against you for the following:

    Violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act
    Violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
    Defamation of Character
    If your offices are able to provide the proper documentation as requested in the following Declaration, I will require at least 30 days to investigate this information and during such time all collection activity must cease and desist.

    Also during this validation period, if any action is taken which could be considered detrimental to any of my credit reports, I will consult with my legal counsel for suit. This includes any listing of any information to a credit reporting repository that could be inaccurate or invalidated or verifying an account as accurate when in fact there is no provided proof that it is.

    If your offices fail to respond to this validation request within 30 days from the date of your receipt, all references to this account must be deleted and completely removed from my credit file and a copy of such deletion request shall be sent to me immediately.

    I would also like to request, in writing, that no telephone contact be made by your offices to my home or to my place of employment. If your offices attempt telephone communication with me, including but not limited to computer generated calls and calls or correspondence sent to or with any third parties, it will be considered harassment and I will have no choice but to file suit. All future communications with me MUST be done in writing and sent to the address noted in this letter by USPS.

    It would be advisable that you assure that your records are in order before I am forced to take legal action. This is an attempt to correct your records, any information obtained shall be used for that purpose.

    Best Regards,

    Sorry to see your dilemma...I have been what I consider unemployed for 10 years now (my 20 year professional job outsourced to India)...nobody counts us, we are off the charts.  People who have not experienced a layoff have no clue ...In my community ..ohhh the bleedinghearts came forward with food and welfare for the anchor children of illegals after they were busted "because it is Christmas" but us fine upstanding taxpaying Americans that got laid off a few months prior didn't have the welfare people welcoming them in with foodstamps, medicare and Christmas presents etc etc etc.  IT IS A SICK SICK ENVIRONMENT WE LIVE IN.   We are Americans and were discriminated agianst.

    And if Ed Overcash thinks he is entitled to cash (pun) in on something from me, he can get in line behind the people I actually signed agreements with to repay.  Bedsides I have no assets, property and only minmal income.  FEEL FREE..to get in line.. I work 2 jobs and make less than $1000 p/month lowlife food stamp recipient that i am.

    That message wasn't for you; I fat fingered the terminal; I just got a call at my office from these bozos on my stolen identify info usage & meant to tell the debt weasel to DROP DEAD!

    Fight them every step of the way; admit to nothing; send them a registered return receipt Debt Validation Letter, they won't answer it. After 60 days send them another letter Cease 7 Desist because they failed to respond to you.

    Document every contact they make AFTER you receive their signed receipt of your Debt Validation letter. Each one is worth 1000 dollars to you under FCDPA (goodle it).

    Admit to noting, give the nothing, file with the FCC (they actually ahdnle these matters of all agencies).

    Then when the bill gets to be about 30 thousand in 1000 dollar per offense for each contact hire your own attoryney to go after them.

    Ed Overcash's office has been blowing up my phone and my three daughters' phones because one of my daughters was unable to pay a credit card off.  She told the credit card company she was selling her home so she could pay this debt and another one and that she would pay them when she got her home sold.  She simply does not have the money due to loss of income through no fault of her own.  The credit card company apparently wrote off the debt and Ed Overcash bought it.  He is threatening to sue her now.  But his office has been blowing up my phone, and two of my other daughters' phones as well.  How do you stop this harrassment?  If she had the money, she would pay it!  I told Kayla from Ed Overcash's office NOT to call me again and I also told her that I advised my daughter not to talk to her again... this woman "laughed" at me and said, "oh, you did, did you?"  Then she denied they had called my phone before which they have.  They are calling my daughter's business phone and she needs to answer that phone.  She is with clients sometimes when these evil people call.  They have given her 24 hours to pay up or they will sue her.   How can a company get away with such blatant harrassment?

    These people who make these calls are nothing but low-lifes.  They are rude as hell and it doesn't matter if they call 100 times or 1 time, if someone does NOT have the money to pay, they simply do NOT have the money to pay.  This Kayla from Ed Overcash's office was telling my daughter she had something else on her credit report that she was going to have to pay off or they were going to sue her as well.  That charge was actually a disputed charge as that should never have been on her account to begin with.  But why does this Ed Overcash have a full copy of her credit report and why are they discussing other items on her credit report that have nothing to do with them?  This I am sure is illegal and I intend to get to the bottom of it.  I hope Miss Kayla has a hard time sleeping at night and I really hope Ed Overcash gets shut down for his tactics.  Then Miss Kayla might not be able to pay her credit card bill and some vulture can come down on her.  Everyone who works in this profession and makes these constant harrassing phone calls is lower than whale-poop.  Must be said that is the only $7.50 per hour job they can qualify for.

    Yes, lowlife scum that were inadequate lawyers who could not make it as real lawyers will step down to do this sort of work so they can eat.  Some lawyers get their "degrees" from online universities that shell out pigskins through some 3rd rate degree factory.  And of course, many ex-cons are lawyers... they study the entire time they are in prison.

    This # appears on my caller ID multiple times per day.  I finally got tired of hearing the phone ring the other day, so I answered it.  They wanted to speak to my daughter.  I told them she didn't live with me.  Wanted her #... I wouldn't give it to them.  Then they wanted me to give her a message. I told them no.  And then I told them NOT to call my number again looking for my daughter.  They have called at least 3 times since and I did not answer the phone.  I finally got pissed today and answered again.  It was, again, Ed Overcash's office.  My two other daughters said they have been blowing up their phones as well.  When I told Kayla that I have asked them not to call before, she denied they had ever called!!!  This harrassment needs to stop!!  No matter how many times they call, it will make no difference in the situation.  When my daughter's ex-husband stopped paying child support and her business slowed down due to the economy, she was unable to make the payment on the credit card.  She is now trying to sell her home, which is all she has, in order to pay off this bill.  We cannot help her... her dad was laid off 3 years ago and we are barely making it ourselves.  She should not have to sell her home for this.  She is a single mom who is down on her luck at the moment.   They have told her she has 24 hours to pay this $4,700 bill OR they are going to sue her.  They are even talking with her about another item on her credit report which is a disputed charge and they told her that company is going to come after her too.  Who are these people.  Why do they have her full credit report and why are they discussing other items on her credit report with her?  I believe there are laws to protect consumers from vultures like this.  HELP!
