I've gotten a few calls from this number today and haven't picked up. Reading through this list I do remember picking it up about a month ago and it was a person saying they were from Verizon and asking me to pay them over the phone. I don't know why Verizon would call me from a random number, I believe it's a scam and told them i'd pay them over the internet.

I was driving when I got a call from this despicable, cowardly callers who are a nuisance that must quit bothering people.

I received a call from this number on Tuesday evening, I didn't answer.  I just received another call today, Wednesday afternoon, and I'm still not answering it.  Thinking about blocking it outright. Ugh.

If this was a legit company, i.e. Verizon, then they should be leaving messages where we can call back to discuss account issues.  No message are being left.  Therefore, I'm choosing to believe the scam theory, and my bank account will remain intact as such.  Thanks.

yeah it verizon... i called back and you can check you balance and all that. they should at least leave voicemails if they call.

After reading the messages left here, (great info, everyone!) just had to add that Verizon NEVER calls you on your cellphone, they will send you a text message and even an email message if you have given them your email.  One constant with any repeated callers - do you notice that English doesn't seem to be their first language? And it doesn't matter whether you aren't late with your bill or that you may not even have an account with that particular company, they still want money and/or information from you.  Guess this is the way they get around the DO NOT CALL registry, posing as legitimate companies.

This number 949-286-3311 has attempted to call four times now. I never answer and they never leave a voice mail. From what I've read from these messages, this is a scam attempt. What this person doesn't now is that I'm a police officer. I will track down this number.

if anybody gets a call from this number (949)-286-3311 go in and talk to a verizon rep face to face and get the answers you seek from the horses mouth.

So tired of this call they never say anything getting headaches from all of this.

its verizon wireless... Pay your bills and you wont get a call from that number!!

It is Verizon Financial Office,,, lmao,,,, ,your bill is past due and so pay it and they won't call,,, I called right back and they answered,,,, ,so nothing with the IRS or government,,,, there are weird ones out there for sure,,,

This number calls me everyday.  After a couple of calls I did answer and a person responded, claiming to be from Verizon wireless.  I told the person to put me on the do not call list, but they continue to call. When I call the number I get an automated response verison wireless financial services.  Then it goes on to ask for my billing passcode.  I of course do not provide this.  I don't know if this really is Verizon or a hoax, but the calls need to stop.

This 9492863311 number has been calling me 3-4 times a day for the last month. No message is ever left. So today, 5/28/10, i called back. There was a recording claiming that it was the Verzion financial services. The recording asked me to punch in my SSN, something just didn't seem right so i waited for a rep to talk to me. The rep DID NOT sound professional at all. I asked him why I was getting calls from this number and he said that my phone bill was overdue (which is untrue) and he wanted my SSN. I told him i wasn't comfortable with that and that i would pay the bill online...and hung up. I'm gonna report this to Verzion. but PLEASE be careful guys, something is very wrong with this number.

I got a call from this number to today. 949 286 3311. Answered and there was no one there.

Just got a call from this number, but didn't answer it as I don't answer numbers I don't recognize.  Did not leave a voicemail.  I called it back and got the Verizon Financial Services automated response, or at least it sounded like it.  Funny thing is, the account has been paid on time and my line is not the main line on the account.

this person who ever it is sometimes calls me 5 times a day to once a day and i have no clue who it is. i ignore it and today i answerd it and didnt say anything and it was a womans voice who said hello then hung up.

949-286-3311 has been calling my cell and leaving NO MESSAGES throughout the day and afternoon for over 2 weeks now. my efforts in CALL BLOCKING gave me a message that read, "this phone number can not be blocked"

a few weeks ago i rec'd call from a collecting agency stating that i had an outstanding debt.  NOT TO MY KNOWLEDGE!!! they had an old address on file (i haven't lived there for over 6 years) and were also asking for my last 4 digits of my SSN. what the hell???

DO NOT give out any information to anyone that calls you on your line!!!  i await certified mail for issues if this is an urgent and pending matter.

EVEN POLICE OFFICERS SHOULD PAY THEIR CELL PHONE BILLS ON TIME!!! Because you are part of the law doesn't mean you're above it NOR are you exempt from paying your cell phone bill!!! Call the number or simply ANSWER YOUR PHONE! You are given the option to pay your overdue balance AFTER verifying your account OR simply go to the nearest Verizon agent and they will help you....my guess is you're avoiding us there, too!!
