have no idea who or what,but i receive calls from same  # 999-999-9999 don't have and never have had cell phone,

No message left

2 calls from 999-999-9999 both times not home. No message left.

When I pick up I only hear music.
Then an Indian woman (heavily accented) asks for an old roommate who hadn't lived at this # for over a year & is living over seas. (And since she moved I converted that phone # to my cell phone #).
I simply said, "no such person here, this is a cell phone. please remove me".
I'll report if I get another call.

I got a missed call from this number today however im in the UK,

Just called me again on my mobile (in the UK) and wast TicketMaster.co.uk with some important service information, was simply a recorded message regarding Reading Festival Tickets (there has been a mess up with them recently). I think they use this number so they can get through to people who block witheld numbers.

ITS A SCAM...there trying to get you to give out information over the phone...like social security number and credit card numbers and other things like this...dont listen to them and hang up

I also just received a phone call from this number.  I saw it on my Caller ID and thought it seemed odd, so I didn't answer the phone.  Got online right away instead to see if I could find anything out about this number in case they call me again. Maybe I will answer if they call back, just to see who it is.

I received this number, and it was the capitol credit service I left a message with earlier that day. The strange this is is that he left a return number that was the same as the original number I called. So even though capitol service was under a normal number, this 999-999-9999 showed up instead. I don't know what happened... I didn't call the strange number back.

caller ID displayed this #, voicemail left was an automatic message system to remind me that I needed to make an appointment for an annual checkup for my pet.

I got a call from 999-999-9999 today...didnt answer. They left a message. It ended up being my veterinarian leaving an automated message reminding me to make an appointment for my dog. :)

i got a caall from them verry WEIRD their stupid smelly reapete one million trillion times.

Got the call this time (11:47, Wednesday 27.08.2008) BUT I´m from AUSTRIA (Europe) German speaking.
The call was on my comany-mobile-phone. We don´t take the call an when we want to look in the caller ID the call was not at the "abcence" (don´t know what stand on your mobile, in our language stand this in our ID) the call was at the "adopted" calls!!!
But we let the mobile ring!!!!

This time i listened that the fix-phone(?) in our company get a call from this number 1 min. later. The office-worker take the call - it was another employee from us, with his private mobile!! but his number is usually not this crazy one!!!
I think its something like a bug in the line and that´s the reason why the number isn´t correct.
But it can also be a hacker???
Or alians - and they jam the line with their signal to destroy the planet ;-)))!! Wish all a good day!

answered the phone and someone noticed that it picked up and hung up on me. this is bullcrap.

It called me and stated nothing. Never gotten a phone call before from that. and if i have late bills i always keep their number in my phone to show up on caller I.D. i always at least make payment plans. If it keeps up im going to call the phone company a nd request them being blocked from my phone. Very strange and honestly annoying. who has time for that crap.

The number showed up on my Caller Id. The name said Baron Store & ......the rest was cut off. The next time the phone rang with the same numer I picked it up. It was an automated message from Waste Management saying that there would be a pick up a day later due to Labor Day.

This number called at 1:48pm Central Time and left a messsage on my voicemail. The number showed as 999-999-9999. A male voice said, "This message is for (me)This is Rick (Didn't catch the last name). Please call me back at 1-800-963-4194."

I called back and got a recording saying "Thank you for calling your call may be recorded for quality assurance purposes. Please stay on the line for the next available attendant." I hung up immediately, apparently it's no one I want to talk to.

I have been receiving a call from this number and everytime I answer it there is no one on the other end.

I look at the caller ID and 9999999999 shows up I answer and nothing happens...everytime I answer nothing happens...who is this...and why cant we get it stopped...you would think that people would have better things to do...
