A while ago I was coming home every day for a period of several weeks, if not months, to find anywhere up tp half a dozen hangups on my ansaphone, all from telephone number 01922 420057. Having identified the originating caller from this site I then contacted Homeserve customer service to ask that they stop this,what can only be called harrassment. They tried telling me that it would take up to 28 days to process my request...  this is complete and utter BS!!!  So, having insisted that ny number was removed from their automated calling list IMMEDIATELY. the calls did actually stop the following day. Hurrah!!!
But alas that's not the end of the story, a month. 6 weeks max, down the line and I have returned home today to find 5 hangups on my ansaphone, all from 01922 4200557. Aaarrrggghhhhh. Has anyone managed to stop these calls permanently? How did you do it????

This number continues to ring our number and we want it to stop.
There is no abouse or any similar _ just silence.

This number phoned my ex home on Monday 11October 2010 and asked for me by name.  Who was it?

I don't even live in the UK so why are they calling me!!

These have started again 4 in the past day. Don't pick up the phone.
A lot of companies now getting wise to people not answering 0800 or 0845 numbers using numbers which look private.
Sometimes I open the line and sit onit or throw it into the office.

Got 3 calls in 3 hours from these the other day, with silence at their end, so googled and found this. Sent an email to homeserve to tell them to stop calling got an email back saying

Dear Customer, Thank you for your recent email, please allow us to apologise for thecalls you have been getting.I can confirm that I have notified our call centre to remove your numberfrom our dialler.

Well I am emailling jade.swain@homeserve.com back because again today they have rang up! i am a new mum and do not need these calls.

annoying calls

These calls are really starting to irritate me, twice today they have rung my house let it ring once and hung up! I must get these calls about 6 times a day,even at weekends. If any one finds out how to stop it please let me know as i've never actually spoken to the person who calls it's just silence!!

this number has been calling my home - it's a nuisance call

after several silent calls - dozens in fact - got a person who hung up when I asked them to stop. Today got a woman who said 'what company are we then?'. This is harassment, plain and simple.

I've had 2 calls in the last couple of days with no message left so googled the number and found it was Homeserve. I have policies with them via South West Water who charge too much for their water anyway. Too much money going to fat cat shareholders.

Received call from this no & as soon as I answered they hung up without speaking.

Got a call from this number saying they were from santander and would I confirm my address and postcode for security. I said no but this is potentially very dangerous. Why cant they be traced and shut down?

I am so glad its not just me! Feels like i'm being stalked by Homeserve. they leave these creepy messages. How do i make them stop??

This is a pain in the neck, they have to stop calling!

I have a solution to stop these calls. Call Homeserve's main number on 0800 247 999 and you give your postcode and you stop these calls for good. I have not got a call in 5 weeks from them when I used to get calls 5 times a day. This really does work!

When you call back you get nothing.

Have Ofcom been contacted and given a response

Keep getting messages left on my work mobile from Homeserve day and night and on the two occasions when I was able to answer I still got a recorded message saying they had tried to contact me!  Have just called 0800 247 999 and they promised to remove me from the list.  Apparently they got my mobile number from British Gas as I used this when booking a boiler service.  Vey unhappy with both companies.
