- AndiThis number has been calling me for a fortnight, no messages on my answering machine, but shows up on caller ID. Must have called at least 3 times a day.
The one time I was actually in and answered it, I dived on it fast to find out who it was and they hung up. - RichardCalls three times a day for the past week. I secured the number from 1471 but have let it ring so far.

But what u have bin told is true call homeserve an as to be taken ov the list. Sum times ur water company also calls to set up policys with u on homeserevs behalf.
but if u does choose to complain ther will defo regiser it 4 u as i said the call r recorded an the agent will get the sake by not doin it.
But all u need to is wen they call tell them u want to be taken of the telesale list,u dont have to be rude tho cus it not them there only ther to do a job an get payed (agents dont make the rules)

tell them you want to be taken off the tele mailing list they've obviously bought. they'll try to say you need to sign up in order to be taken off and will keep asking for house details but you doent need to give them
just tell them to search by phone number, that you are obviously on a calling list and that you wish to unsubscribe. this is a data protection clause they must adhere to. Also tell them you know the call is recorded so ask for the operators name so its logged - important bit is thay they hear you say this.
basically this is just cold calling done from a list rather than a man with a suitcase of dusters, but if you askt o be taken off they have to so it or they could lose the right to continue this form of dragnet marketing - JoolsAll last week I was getting calls from this number, some days I would get 3 or 4 calls an hour. I have caller ID and so never picked up the phone which was when the number of calls increased. It never rang long enough for the answer machine to click in.
I am X directory as well as registered with the TPS. I can only think that BT is selling on peoples' telephone numbers to Companies like Homeserve regardless of whether we are X Directory or not. - CThey called last night at 8pm, again this morning at 11.15 with no one there, i phoned back and got the message it was Homeserve and they will phone me back. Hence finding this webpage!
Have phoned the Head office and was put through to someone in complaints called Jane who is going to remove me from the list (although she couldn't find me one their list in the first place). Here is her direct number if you want it 01922 659359.

It is also the unavailable numbers that I also do not answer, I get 3 daily I owe no money so why would any one call so many times with no reply????
