Was called by this number (Indian accented guy), he mentioned to me that they received info that my computer ("compieter") was probably hacked because everytime an internet connection was made, it was up/downloading a lot of data for a couple of hours.
After having to do his story 3 or 4 times (because
After I asked proof in writing to be sent in email to me, at last he got his "manager" on the phone (a guy introducing himself as "Cooper, the manager") who tried to convince me that an "agent" could see that my computer has been hacked and if would like to see proof, he asked me to download this agent and see for myself....
At that moment, I said that i was not interested in installing any unsollicited software and hung up.

Eén keer gemeld met mijn achternaam en er werd Bay gezegd en neer gelegd.
Een telefoondienst moet toch kunnen peilen waar dat vandaan komt.
Meld mij nu alleen met hallo en er wordt opgehangen.
Ik ga de politie hier voor bellen.

Mijn vrouw is door dit nummer gebeld met de mededeling dat het persoon die belde van Microsoft was en wat vragen had de man sprak engels, deze taal is mijn vrouw niet machtig en heeft het gespek afgebroken met de vraag om 21.00 uur terug te bellen. dit is tot op heden nog niet gebeurd.

An English speaking male person with an southern (could be india) accent called me on the phone telling my computer sends out serious warnings about my Microsoft sytem. And that they have to take care of it. I told the person I'm not having a personal computer only form work. Shortly after he wises me a good day and hung up.

This number is still dailing out. Claiming to be from Microsoft.

Ook ik word sinds 2 dagen steeds door dit nr gebeld. De eerste keer heb ik de Engels sprekende man kort te woord gestaan, dacht dat het om acquisitie ging en heb er snel een eind aan gemaakt. Hij was verbaasd dat ik niet in mijn computer geinteresseerd was. Toen nr gegoogled en niet meer opgenomen nadat ik de berichten op internet had gelezen. Erg irritant.

Being called too, twice a day, also by number 00501.
All I hear is BYE of WELCOME and then hung up....

Makes me feel a bit unsafe.

Afgelopen week driemaal gebeld door dit nummer 00253820308. De derde maal niet meer opgenomen. Dit was op zaterdag 23 juni om 10.04 uur.

Ik werd zojuist ook gebeld en er werd gezegd goodbye...

Called me today and gave my name and address. They told me my computer was "out of date" and
Would be corrupted unless I followed their instructions. Turns out they were calling from Djibouti in Africa

I live in Brabant, Netherlands, and this number KEEPS ringing me. They usually don't say anything when I answer. In fact today was the first time the person actually spoke. It started off "hello I am calling from Microsoft, do you have a PC running Windows?" in an Indian accent. I said "do not call this number again" and hung up. I might invest in one of those whistles you blow when a heavy breather rings!

i also had the same problem. i madde him call me 7 days long 10 or more calls a day. that was quite fun

I just got a call as well. It was from an indian guy called himself Johnson. He was talking about a virus on my windows computer. I have apple so I didn't trusted it from the begining. After a few minutes I hung up because it sounded all so fake.

I had a call from this nummer telling me that it came from microsoft because there was a problem wiht my pc. they could fix it real time. at the end they only wanted me to "upgrade" MS essentials and i have to pay for it.
at that time i new is was boguss and i threw down the phone.
so beware!!!!

Just a few minutes ago the phone rang(hmmm...weird number on the screen, 00253820308), I answered it.... nothing. Suddenly somebody softly speaks ''hello'' and I answered 'hello'  and then again nothing. Suddenly softly 'how are you doing today?'. Then I said '[***] off' and put the phone down. A website says 00253 is from a country called Djibouti ??

It doesn`t give a nice feeling when you get such a weird call from a far, foreign country...

I`m from the south of Holland by the way.

It seems like all these posts come from Ireland and Holland... Are these two countrys the only who get calls from this number?

I was called as well, twice today, one from unknown with a strange sounding person and once with caller id which I did not pick up.
I am also from The Netherlands.
My mother also had the number in her list

this indian man called me n said to me that i have a virus,all of a sudden he told me to fill my bank account.i did not believe him n switched my computer off n also hang the call,he did not call again

Ben gebeld door iemand die zich identificeerde als iemand van Microsoft die belde in opdracht van de FBI. Vragen om computer aan te zetten en kunnen alles zien en hacken.
