TrueCall intercepted these [***].  TPS is crap, am on it but am still bombarded with calls.  This is one of them.  This had a frigging indian on the other end so perhaps the number is outside the UK to circumvent the no calling thing?

How about a class action law suit against TPS to force them to take action against these companies and get redress?

I am at my wits end and should not have had to spend around £100 on a device to stop scum like this company abusing me.

Forget TPS.  Report all these type of calls to the Information Commissioners Office on:

www.ico.gov.uk

then click on the appropriate link to spam calls etc.
If we all consistently do this, it may be more effective.

Caller knew my name, said they were doing a survey to ensure I would not be bothered by unwanted calls regarding home improvements etc, yep really, as soon as I said I had no money for that they hung up. Rude people.....

That wasn't NMS. There is nothing in the survey about home improvements. That person either doesn't work for NMS or wasn't sticking to the script

We too get many calls a day from unknown callers, 01142180488 regularly being one of them.  Don't know who they are because we don't answer when this number appears on the phone - once bitten twice shy!
It does seem that cold callers in general are getting ruder and even cut the call off when I give them a polite no thank you. (Though 'Him indoors' doesn't give them a polite no thank you!)

Registering with TPS does not do anything. Ofcom's reporting system has been 'broken' for some time. The ICO won't deal with individual cases. So who is going to sort this out ?

These companies now claim they are 'doing a survey' rather than telemarketing to gather information to use to bombard you with rubbish.

It is a sad state of affairs when people will not answer the phone before checking the numbers on here first. I do it all the time now and even have a list at the side of the phone with the more persistent ones on.

I would never give personal details over the phone to a stranger, no matter who they say they are calling on behalf of. Cold Calling should be made illegal, but that will not stop the overseas call centres telling you "...your computer is infesting the Internets..."

We have an answer machine permanenlty on. Caller rang off as soon as he/she realised that. I didn't speak to them.

I too have had a call from this number but as soon as i said hello they rang off. I rang the number straight back but a telecom voice said the number was not recognised, i tried a couple of times later but got the same message back. Bye the way i'm ex-directory too.

had a missed call from this number. Tried phoning it but got the message "the number you have called has not been recognised". Speaks volumes that!!!

Disconnected as soon as I picked the receiver up.  Dialled the number and got message to say that the number was not recognised.

Rang me. No one there when I answered. Nuisance caller.

Cold call, claiming to be doimg a survey from National Money Saver. Rang off when I said that I was on the Tlelphone Preference Service.

Answered the phone no=one there!  This has happened more than once.  I wish I knew how to stop them.

I did not answer call as I have a number of nuisancecalls   I did 1471, got the number in question, rang back but number not recognised.  When is legislation going to kick in to prevent these disgraceful nuisance calls.  These people need kicking into touch.  Why should our leisure time be interrupted by these nuisances - they are parias of our society - I really dislike them - that is putting it politely.
