MY WIFE HAS HAD A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER ASKING ABOUT OUR NEIBOUR

Just found out these liars have been ringing my nan asking for all my personal information. they have my nan worried sick......
They need to be exploited to show they are nothing but liars fishing for information they shouldnt be allowed. they rang from this number claiming to be called cdsl

Miss call - I don't usually redial numbers I dont know but we are waiting for someone to contact us unfortunatley weve miss placed the number they will be ringing from. So I recalled this number it was a company I did not recognise DVSL so I finished the call. Curious I checked on google hence putting this report on as a warning.

These people are evil.

an elderley man who lives on my street called round today and said they had a call from this number 01252576376 they were enquiring as to who lived in my address.unfortunately they comfirmed  i lived there and then enquired if my partner was there aswell. now if this is a debt collector what do they want with me, and how did they know my name? apparently the woman was overjoyed to find out the news, but would not tell the elderley man who they were, and then just hung up. i googled the number and found  all this. is this sort of thing illegal??? can anyone tell me......thanks

This company will phone old address numbers or that of your current or former neighbours to enquire if you still live near, or if those people know of where you are now. They use out of date information from telephone directories or voters roll information. Its probably not illigal to do this, provided they dont gove out protected data under data protection laws. However it is very dodgy practice. If you hear from a nighbour about this, tell them this is a scam of sorts and to tell these idiots you do not reside at that number and that they do not know of where you live. Ask them to tell the caller if they call again they will be reported under harrassment laws. Furthermore, ask you neighbours, former or current, never to discuss any information about you to anyone phoning on their line, that its probably a phishing type call that is doing the rounds. This company are nothing more than debt travcer/collectors, and have no powers above or beyond the legal framework for debt enforcment. Personally i dont discuss personal business matters from companies i do not know. If you get a call that sounds like its from a company " hello can i speak to Jason smith pls" "its a personal call" er.... yea... because your friends always use your full name right? Reply with "what company are you representing please"..... that usually makes then pause... they may ask again, respond with the same question. confirm nothing. Tell them that you are aware their number is from a business.. then if they refuse to say anything.... tell them not to call again as this number is not used for personal business related matters... and advise them that a complaint would be raised against that number for breach of telecommunications - harrasment, if they call again!

I have just had the exact same thing happen to me!
They asked me to confirm my address - which I refused, then they asked if Mrs X lived next door as they had a parcel to deliver to her.
I just said do you really expect me to tell you anything off the back of this random call and then hung up.
How did they get my number?? What a cheek!

I had a call from this number asking me if F* still lived next door. They had a delivery for her and did I have a telephone number for her. I said I did not want to give F* telephone number out but I could go and get F* or take a message to get my neighbour to call back.
The caller said she did not want to trouble me and she would write instead.
After the call, I did wonder how they got MY number, I am ex-directory and TPS. Hmmm!

My boyfriend had the exact same phonecall. Someone asking him to confirm he lived at xxxxx street and can he confirm that his neighbour's name is xxxx and that he lives below him at xxxx street. My boyfriend told them to f*** off! Cannot believe someone could get hold of his mobile number and harass him since we have no outstanding debts. Very dodgy.

I received a call from 01252 576376 - pretty much the same message as others listed below saying they were trying to contact my neighbour.  However:

1.  They called me on my MOBILE number - how did they get that?!
2.  They referred to a neighbour in a property that I moved out from almost 4 years ago.

I just said I didn't live there any more so wouldn't know.  Am rather concerned though that they had my name, mobile number and knew my address - how could they get all that information legitamately?

thids company capquest and tel work together with lowells when lowells cant trace then capquest buy the loans from them ,these are all debts past the 6 years policy so written off and they think they can scam you blackmail you just call trading standardsand ofcom all will deal with better still ignore calls ,please though if lowells do contact you not all there debts are 6 years old so be careful if you think you owe money,this is a very nasty company so beaware

received a call from 01252576376, very polite lady but wouldnt give me any information but wanted to know if i lived in a certain road, which i didnt..but have friends that do. said no. very unsettling

my neighbour has just called round to say someone called louise called her today to ask information about me i.e. did i live at number .., did i work, where did i work, who else lived there. they said they had post for me and wanted to check i lived there before they sent my post !

Got a call from this number at 10am this morning, luckily I  had my answerphone on and of course they hung up. Really pleased to have found this site and get info on this number. I will just ensure I do not answer any calls unless I  know who the caller is. Time the government cracked down on these callers.

ive had several calls but not ansewed they left avoice mail for someone else when i checked with the other person they knew nothing about them

Who are these people, and why are they calling my neighbours to get information about me.

I had 2 missed calls to my landline earlier today from 01252576376.  They did not leave a message.  I decided to google the 'phone number and luckily stumbled upon this site.  I am however, very worried now as I do have debts.  I am not sure why they would be involved with my debts other than they are over 6 years old.  Can anyone give me any advice please because I am scared to answer the 'phone.  On the up side, two of my neighbours are family so I can warn them about the risk of them getting a call.

Beware!!these companies get your details from CVs that you may have posted on the internet thro various websites. I have received enails, calls etc to these contacts. I specifically list these contacts for jobseeking only so KNOW this is correct!
