I've just had a neighbour come round to say this company had rung him asking about our address and did a Pete or Paul live there.  I rang and asked who they were and what they wanted, she said they probably had a parcel for us - hate to state the obvious but had to say why don't you deliver it then. She replied they had to chec the person still lived at the address - can you believe such ****I was fuming and the girl had real attitude and I had to explain that I had the right to be angry but she didn't have the right to have attitude.  I told her the person she was looking for didn't live at our address - she then said 'if you speak to him' !! I had to remind her that I'd said he didn't live at our address - stupid with attitude....

had a call from these,asking did i know next door, they gave the name of a previous neighbour  said they were the DVLA , they knew my name and telephone number, where do they get this from. they need reporting to somebody.

These cold callers are getting out of control, and there really should be more control/regulation over what constitutes fair and decent practice!!

they are at it again ...rang my mobile today looking for my wife .. saying they had some business correspondence for her and wanted to confirm the address the caller had a scottish accent and was fishing for information throughout the call, thank you to whoever set this up, after I hung up I googled the number and this site came up..forewarned is forearmed

they work on behalf of many clients including vodaphone
reason i know is that I knocked vodaphone and they were chasing the money.

if you pay a proportion of the money they cant do jack..as long as the debt is under 50 quid

01252576376 they called this morning asking for my partner telling they were a delivery company and they had a letter to deliver to my partner when i asked them legal question i finally discovered they were working on behalf of cap quest which is a recovery agency. they did not want to talk to me and i told them they could keep their delivery as i do not know any company called cap quest and i got nothing to do with them and just put the phone down. they need to be reported to the police what i going to do now.

just has a call from a scottish lady on my mobile asking is this was {she gave my address} I said no and pressed her who she was and who she was after but she hung up

The number she called from was 01252576376. I never ever give my name, address or leave my telephone number with anyone.

report them to action fraud by calling 0300 123 20 40 they are working on behalf of the met. thay advice me that if DVSL clled again just tell them we are aware they are a scam and end the call and contact again action fraud to report it

i just ad a missed call on my mobile so wen i rang it back it said we are bbsl and we will connect you to some one i hung up before they picked it up then just by putting the number in on google 0125257376 it came up with all this.

Got several messages from this number asking for someone who i do not know.. my number is unlested so not sure were they got this number from.  They wanted to know my address which i did not given to them.

Just had next door neighbour knock on with a note on details of phone call he'd had from these people saying they were from B.C.F.L and did I live next door. He never gave any details and said he didn't know my name. Asked for contact number for me also. No idea why anyone would be getting in touch from debt agency, as I've never been in debt!!

This company called my neighbours looking for info about my daughter who moved some time ago.  My neighbours gave them no info as quite frankly they didn't know anything. They said they were trying to deliver a parcel which is untrue.

I phoned them and demanded to know why they are bothering my neighbours and they said it was legal.  I told them I would report them to the police if they did it again.

Telogram? Tell 'em to 'go away'.

DEbt Collection companies are very keen on the Data Protection Act - which is there to prevent YOUR data from being mis-used. Never, ever, confirm any details to anyone who cold calls. They say they need to confirm your details before they can discuss things with you  -YOUR details, your PERSONAL details - you've no idea who they are, they could be scammers trying to obtain money by fraud in your name !

This lot use dubious methods to try and locate people they say owe them money. MY view is that I have never had an account with them, I don't owe them anything. If they are in the business of buying details of old debts from banks, credit card companies or whatever then that's their problem.

Using scare tactics and trying to get neighbours to tell tales is not the sort of thing any credible company should be doing.

Had a call from this number a little while ago on my mobile phone, answered it as it's a local number & thought it might have been from someone genuinely looking for me!

When I answered the bloke asked for a Miss ........?, I just put the phone down, then googled the number on here, found it's CapQuest have heard of them, but sure I've had no dealings with them!!

Why do these companies keep only ringing my mobile, bit suss to me!!

Also if they're debt collectors, how come I've had no letter's about whatever it is I'm supposed to be owing money too!!

They certainly won't get any information out of me, I too wary about giving my details out, was even cagey about giving them to a government agency not long ago, it was only when she give me some info, that only they'd have known, that I give my details!!

So Capquest go boil your brains, nothing in writing, no can do!!

I put on Electoral roll that I didn't want my info to be out there, as my numbers are Ex-Directory, so no idea how they've got hold of my mobile no, only thing I can think off  is I had to put it down for a loan site last year, take it this is probably how they've got it as I get texts & calls about Loans, PPi's, Pensions all the time since I put no down, makes me feel like changing my number!!

got a call from this number asking for brothers detail (not lived with brother for years). Did not give details,they seemed persistant. Wife phoned back asked who they were and the answer was dvsl.I asked how they got our number and they said they looked it up as not many with our name.
