I get about 3-7 calls everyday from this number. I'm usually at work when they ring so cant answer to tell them to go away! this has been going on for about 2-3 weeks now!!! when will they get the hint i'm not going to answer?!?!

TPS can take upto 2 months to register you, they can call you upto then.

Interesting item about them on the BBC, might open a few eyes.

Unwanted calls

Over the last three weeks these people have rang almost every day (luckily we have been away for the last two). The first time they rang me I was busy and I told it wasn't convenient. I ignored there calls thereafter then finally after getting a bit fed up, answered their call and told them I didn't want to be contacted to which they promptly hung up on me.

This week the calls have started again, and I have just politely informed them that I have already informed them I didn't want to be contacted. The person on the other end of the call was rude and said I told them I was busy, not that I didn't want them to call back. I wasn't planning on an argument, just wanted them to stop ringing, I will take further action now if they ring me again.

market reasearch, wanted to know about leisure interests. Told them I'm not interesested, they politly said OK thankyou very much. I'd like to know where they get my number from, I'm ex-directory & very careful who Igive my number to?

I received a call from them a short while ago - on a Sunday evening!

It's good I stopped answering calls from unknown numbers, which are not in my saved number list, a few years ago.

A genuine caller who needs to get in touch with me usually always leaves a brief message with their name & number. Market research / direct marketing / similar callers leave no messages of course, which only confirms who they really are.

this number calls me every night between 6 and 8. when i pick up the phone its starts ringing and then they start there rant, i just hang up. think its strange that the phone rings in your ear after you pick it up. does this happen to anybody else?

I've got call from this number for a month now. I didn't answer it, and they call in the morning as well. Really annoyed!!!

Got a call from this number but I did not pick they did not leave a message put the number into Goggle and Hey Presto I found this website with all this useful information.

When they call at stupid times its frustrating and annoying.

i've been getting calls from this number every day of the week for about 3 weeks now, and it's 3+ times a day and it's really starting to get on my nerves, but thanks to this site i now know who it is, so next time they call i'm gonna tell them where they can shove their survey and hopefully they'll stop calling.

if its a marker research number, did everyone who received a call from here do a survey about cancer? because it was a question about the person who surveyed you rather than actual information from you. questions like did this surveyor use paper or a laptop. stuff like that.

Again, market research wanting to know about my leisure. 2:30pm.
Ex. directory, TPS registered. I think it's wrong that the TPS doesn't cover these types of call.

ipsos mori is not there to scam prank or decieved you in any way,ipsos mori is one of the most respected market research companies in the world.ipsos mori gathers peoples opinions on a wide variety of subjects, the work they do is very important because busniess(large and small) and governments make decisions based on public opinion ....How do I know because I have worked as an interviewer for them for 20 years and I am just glad in that 20 years I didnt meet many of the type of people on here or I doubt I would have stayed 2 weeks.

why would they ring you 3 times ....they ring once explain what they are doing you either do or dont do the survey ....end of ,,whats the problem

I cant understand why they would keep on ringing you after you have done the survey,,,,,oh thats right you didnt ,,,,and i am guessing you didnt even bother to answer the phone an tell them you dont want to take part ....everyone has the right to give their opinion.......and ipsos mori has the right to welcome you to give yours.....if you dont want to ...just tell them .....they are  not mind readers they are brilliant at alot of things but not that.......i know i work for them

can i just tell you i work for ipsos mori 5 if not 6 days  a week and have done so for 20 years.we do surveys all the time some are short some are long some are one off,s some go on for 10 years.Some i work on some i dont .Research is never carried without a lot of thought and planning ,we are not out to scam , rob,prank ,haress you ,all we are doing basically is asking you WHAT DO YOU THINK? ABOUT........ ABOUT.......IS THIS A GOOD IDEA........HOW WOULD YOU DO IT...........WHO DOES IT HELP........WOULD YOU BE HAPPY WITH THIS....ETC ETC......... and yes i have interviewed the public about cancer not on the phone but face to face,and i have also interviewed on a thousand other subjects and i have to say for every miseraible cretin i have met(like the most of yous on here)i have met a 100 people who are nice kind polite and INTELLIGENT and who get what market research is about. My experience of the public is the less intelligent a person is the less likely they are to take part ....maybe because they cant do 50/50 or phone a friend!!!!

if they called and said to you  ohhh we are sorry we dont  want your opinion because you are black/white/woman/man/old/young/disabled/able bodied you would be crying about your human rights ipsos mori is one of the largest and most respected market research companies in the world they work under the laws of the data protection act...they are governed by the Market Research Society...they have offices in numerous countries around the world,,,,THEY DO NOT PASS ON YOUR INFORMATION TO ANYONE ELSE(they would be in breach of the data protection act)THEY DO NOT TRY TO SELL YOU ANYTHING.......WHY WOULD THEY ?THEY ARE A COMPANY THAT COLLECTS PEOPLES OPINIONS ON DIFFERENT SUBJECT MATTERS......IF YOU THINK YOUR OPINION IS NOT VALID OR WORTHY TELL THEM AND I AM SURE THEY WOULD BE HAPPY TO NEVER HAVE TO CONTACT YOU AGAIN..........i can vouch for them because i have worked for them for 20 years  not on the phone but face to face  in the field......oh and by the way  you can look them up in google if you need anymore information

i KNOW !!!!!!  how they got your number ever heard of voodoo magic......... well they didnt get it using that... they have  a list of numbers and to balance the sample of numbers they have to randomise the numbers to try and get ex direct. numbers because otherwise the sample they have would be baised if it excluded a certain % of the population eg(ex direct numbers)So all you have to do when they ring is ....voodoo magic.....oh no i mean answer the phone an says I AM TOO STUPID TO GIVE YOU TEN MINUTES OF MY TIME, MY OPINON IS NOT VALID I HAVE NOTHING  BY WAY OF AN INTELLIGENT ANSWER TO GIVE YOU........AND I AM SURE THEY WILL STRIKE YOU OFF THEIR LIST ...and move on to someone WHO has an opinion to give........SIMPLE so you should understand
