I have just told OMAR who said he was Swinton, that I would be informing the police that I have been receiving sinister/malicious/nuisance calls since I took out a policy through this 'Cowboy' outfit. They will never get any more of my money! The useless cowboy *?@!£%$'s

If you get a call from 01422 249611 then call 01274 838111 and ask them to remove you from their dialling lists.  It is Swinton Insurance on an Autodial system.

Becaue its a call centre on an outbound dialer platform

Swintons Insurance...Fed up with calls from this number, tracked down a no's to return the call and after listening to the automated options, i try to leave a message but the mailbox is full, dial o for assistance...messsage says all operators are busy, after holding for an age the call just drops out...waste of time

Got two calls from this number, 1st one i missed. 2nd one i answered, no one one other end, This bears out what other postee said about computer generated call. If it is co compare, passing on phone numbers. They are in serious breach of Data protection act. So keep a tally of calls. Then take them to court.

Next time I'm asked for my telephone number on a web comparison site I think I will give them my local Swinton's office number, see how they like it.

called from Swinton about a 3mth free Accident cover for the family with no charges if canceled after the free period.

they wanted my bank details upfront tho,so its a no go from me.I like the old fashioned send papers back with such details rather than giving it out to strangers over the phone.

Hi, Just had a call from Swinton re a "free" accidental injury cover, as we are loyal customers and we are. Well it's free for 3 months and then if you don't cancel, it's so much per month. So I said "ok I'll have it for 3 months then cancel." He said" you have to sign up for a full year" I said OK send me the details and if I decide to go ahead, I'll pop in the local brach, where I normally go for my car insurance." He said " you can't do that is only credit card or direct debit" I said "Forget it if you want my business, I choose how to pay, not you." He said" ok thanks for your time".

Yet another marketing call from Swindon Insurance, they promised not to bother me after taking out a policy, yet they continue to do so.

yes def Swinton rang them back got answer machine. I ve got home insurance and had nothing but trouble from them including trying to take out more money than they were supposed to !! They are paying it back.

Called home and mobile at 8.30 today, I don't give out the mobile number so how did someone get it?

I only contacted Swinton last week and took out car insurance.  I was keen to "keep it local" I was most insistant that I do not receive further marketting calls.  My husband is ill and does not need disturbances like this.  I am going to call them tomorrow and mention the data protection and see if they continue - so much for keeping it local - they just pass it on to head office and bombard me with their c**p!!
