- cd1951It seems some people are happy with this outfit and other are not, but as I have not contacted them nor need their services, why am I bombarded with countless calls from this company and others over mis-selling of products?
They may be regulated by the 'Ministry of Justice', which means absolutely nothing, as to try and make a complaint one has to 'jump thropugh hoops'! This and other companies still buy your telephone number from other companies or 'compilers' and use 'automatic dialers' instead of the conventional way of obtaining business-by advertising!!
The government will not do anything to stop this anonymous calling, as it EMPLOYS people and they do not want more people on the dole!!
At least if people want to comkplain about this type of company/organisation, they can now do so via the 'Legal Ombudsman' - not that it would be a quick process!!- Caller: Experiences Connect Ltd

- ex-EMCAS| 6 repliesHi there, I used to work for Experiences Connect - the introducer for EMCAS (Exp. Conn. are the ones who are actually ringing you up). I'm not here to tell you how wonderful they are - just merely offer advice on the constant calls.
First of all, as frustrating as it is, please try not to be rude to the agent! They are merely trying to earn a wage, and if they're not persistent (to the point of nuisance) then they quickly find themselves without a job; and we all know how valued ANY full-time job is to a mortgage-payer and mother/father etc.
The fault of the wrong information / constant calls does not lie with the agent, it in most cases does not lie with the company. It's the data collection company who are passing round your info.
The best thing to do is ask the agent what company passed on your details. They may give you a spiel about "filling in a survey..", but ask again for the data company's name and number.
9/10 I have checked, it's usually a company called 'Teleprospects'. This is their head office number: 01902 710 101. The best thing to do is request EMCAS delete your data as you are TPS registered (even if you're not), call the data company and request they also delete your info.
If you're not getting chance to speak to an EMCAS (Experiences Connect) agent - dead lines, etc. - but get the calls a lot, then ring them. The Belfast office number is 02890 238518 and the Ipswich office number is 01473 241111.
Hope this helps. And please remember, being polite (and I know it's hard!) will give you the results you want. If you're rude / hang up / don't answer the phone / refuse the questions, you'll go back in the system and be called again! - Me replies to ChelseyRubbish!
- OCAS| 1 replyRip off merchants do not reply to them or phone them back. Said they were OCAS !!
- Caller: OCAS
- Harrassed replies to ex-EMCAS| 5 repliesI don't give a F*** about their job. I care about the relentless time wasting harassment my family and I are constantly subjected to. We average eight nuisance calls from a variety of hopefuls each and every day.
I will continue to be aggressive, rude and abusive to all cold calling 'persistent' agents in the hope they wake up and realise a decent worthwhile employment is far more rewarding. - ex-EMCAS replies to Harrassed| 3 repliesThen unfortunately you will continue to be 'harassed'. I've advised you in what to do to prevent receiving any more calls from this company, but if you choose to be aggressive, rude and hang-up, then they WILL continue to call you. It's not right or fair, but unfortunately you will just be put back into the system.
In regards to your comment about employment; I don't suppose you think these people enjoy having to receive abuse down the phone? That they chose that job above other, more 'worthwhile', jobs? It's a way to pay the bills and feed a family in a time when full-time employment is very difficult to obtain. Don't be so ignorant. - Facts replies to ex-EMCASPages and pages of complaints about EMCAS and related misery on www.whocallsme.com see

Compliance & Customer Services Manager - Craig replies to ex-EMCAS| 1 replyI hope all their staff end up sleeping in dumpsters or a park and social services take their kids off them, you don't seem to realise how this stalking type behaviour affects people, presumably you couldn't care less because you make money from it
- sean oneillFor months I refused to listen or pick phone up. However they kept persisting. They eventually spoke to my wife whist I was out. She didnt tell me they had called imagine my surprise when 12 weeks later we had a cheque come through the post from experiences connect in conjuction with EMCAS for the sum of £4, 546.00
I had been missold my insurance on credit cards.so next time I get a call I will actually bother to listen and not tar them with the same brush we british tend to do with salespeople.

- ben replies to OCASPerhaps you misheard maybe (your human error) seems more plausable than a company being called emcas for 11 years suddenly changing their name name for the sake of one call and petentially getting found out and fined millions
- ben replies to CraigYour aiming your anger at the wrong people the agents are just doing a job the way they have been told to do it, failure to do so results in disaplinary action. Why not have ago at the data collection agency or how about being calm and using Common sense and realise that online your details can and will be taken for different reasons its in the sites t's and c's that they will do so, so therefore a lot of the calls are actually a result of your own action.
- ? replies to HarrassedAnd so for that simple reason. You will continue to be called small experiment next time instead just politely say youve no need for their services and to suppress your details and to not.l call again please bare mind that multiply surveys can be filled without knowledge of doing so a company can receive multiple accounts for the same person and unfortunately you would have to give this response to all the data sets, please do t be in under the impression that once doing this you will no longer receive calls as more surveys can be filled out in the future!
