Got a call, thought it was a bit random and asked where they got my details.  They told me it was through a survey.  I had not completed one though, they actually gave me the details of the survey company, checked it with them - turns out my wife had completed it!  Fair enough, so went back to them to make sure they were genuine they said regulated by Ministry of Justice - I was sceptical because I had never heard of this.  I investigated, and it is the new name for the Department of Consitutional affairs.  These guys do appear on the government  
website, the quickest link is www.claimsregulation.gov.uk there are quite a few firms that are doing this and regulated by the government but as this lot made the call and gave me all this info, I am going to give them a go!

They called me but hung up when I answered, if they were a professional company why hang up??? Can't they afford the phone bills! If you want to speak to me then speak to me, if not then don't call.

got a call from this number last week. when I answered though they hung up.

They phone every night, when we answer they put the phone down. When we call back they say we have come through to the wrong department and they will get someone else to call us back.

Just had a silent call too. It's amusing to see the company spamming this forum with comments about how people allegedly got £40000 in compensation. If it was really that straight-forward then they'd do it the legit way and not by ringing people randomly.

I just had a missed call from 01473241700...this happens every day around this time and they never leave a message.

called me then rang off. fortunately I "googled" the number before caling back.Needless to say I haven't now called them

I have recived calls from this number about 10 times now. some have hung up and some i have recieved and call back. Eash time i have stated that i demanded them to take me off of there list! I have now added them to my block list.
If you have taken part in any on-line surveys thia may be the reason for you calls...........even though i had ticked every box stating that i did not want to recieve any cold calls or emails!!!

these people have been calling my mobile for the past few days and hanging up when i answer. no thought for anyone. i am now ignoring their calls

Same here they keep calling, don't leave a message ( which is odd in it's self) and I'm getting it from different numbers.

I picked up once and they hung up.  I'm not going to call them back, if it's important they would leave a message that's why i have voice mail!!

Didn't speak to person - screened caller.  Just want to know who was phoning. Phoned number back and got answer machine. Mentioned Ministry for Justice, endowment & bank charges overcharges etc.

for 5 months now this number has been calling me.oddest times too, ealiest around 745am and the latest at about 830pm F$%K off!!!!

The guy that called me, asked to speak to my wife about refunds on credit card charges. I said she would not be home until later in the evening. He said he would ring again but never did. Prior to this, I remember about four other occasions somebody on that number tried to ring, but I missed the calls and checked them back on 1471. I did'nt return the calls, as number was unknown to me.

OBSERVATION
The caller didn't sound cosha, he did'nt say who he represented and gave to much detail about the call. It should be private, if it's about credit card information.

These guys called me today, I have no clue where they got my number from but I got them to give me their number which was given as 01473 241 700 so I called them back and asked them for a website address, which they gave as : http://www.expconnect.net/our_service_to_you.htm
They are quite transparent about the charges they make and on what basis a claim is made.  They are obviously commission based as they seem quite high pressure.

If you go to the Ministry of Justice webpage you can find this company is authorised to manage claims.

It doesn't mean the company is any good, or is a good route to take as they charge 41.25% for their endowment service but it seems to require very little effort on your part to use them.

Had a call again this morning, again hung up as soon as I answered, they either hang up or if they talk to you and you say not interested take no notice and continue to call (registered on the Telephone Preference Service).Don't care if they are genuine or fake, no firm that acts like this should get anyones business.

These people called me about credit card charges,loan cgarges etc etc. Seemed quite genuine? Knew who i was even thoguh the phone isnt in my name and even knew my place AND date of birth!!suggest you actually speak to these people.If they ask for bank/card details then dont do it otherwise what have you to lose??
