Report a phone call from 01473241700 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Ipswich InformerThis is the call centre for Experiences Connect Ltd based in Ipswich, Suffolk.
It is a growing claims management firm that started out pursuing claims on Endowment mortgages (the mis-selling of these in the 80s is common knowledge) and has now branched out into recovering unfair charges (bank fees and credit fees) that were hitting the headlines a couple of years ago, along with PPI (payment protection insurance).
I know two people who work for this company and basically they are cold calling from survey information purchased (a common and entirely legal practice). They will try and discover if you are entitled to claim for endowment mortgage mis-selling, or unfair PPI or credit/bank charges.
They ARE regulated by the Ministry or Justice as a Claims Managament company but they have nothing to do with the FSA.
They charge approx 25& for PPI/bank charge recoveries (no win no fee) and 35% for endowment recoveries.
My advice is that this IS a proper company, operating well within the rules and the call centre staff are just telesales people. They are not a scam or a fiddle, in fact they get good press coverage and reviews for service. HOWEVER you can make these claims yourself after a a bit of light reading and you don't need a no-win no fee company to do this if you have the time. I claimed for charges myself years ago and recovered the lot after a bt of legwork.
I thing that some people on here are just bitter that they were cold called. I don't like it as much as the next person, but this company DOES provide a valid (if not expensive) service. They have been operating for some years now and are NOT being investigated for anything malicious.- Caller: Experiences Connect LTD
- LesleyBe aware that they also phone under the number 01473 741504. They are phoning using an automatic call service. If there is no-one to take your call the system will automatically hang up. Don't waste your money ringing them back as they stay on the phone for ages and WILL NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER. They claim that they have got your number from a survey that you have filled out. This will have been a general survey but you will have indicated on it that you own your own house but with a mortgage. That is why they are ringing about endowment mortgages. Their costs are no win no fee but if they win, they charge 40% sometimes more. They also do PPI and credit card claims. Ring them at your peril.

If you go to there site (above)there you will find 0800 numbers. If everybody phones these numbers and leave phones off hook maybe this dumb outfit will get the message.
PS. Remember and dial 141 before the 0800- Caller: http://www.expconnect.net/cred
- TommyDont recognise the number then,I dont answer. If its a genuine caller they will leave a message on the answer machine. "Simple"
- TaypearlCall came in, answer machine on, but no message.....they have already rung several times in the last 7 days.
- Mark DI've had three or four calls from these people now, claiming they have my details because I have an endowment mortgage. Haven't had one for ten years and certainly have no interest in high pressure unsolicited calling. I never agree for my details to be shared so I suspect a little free and easy action with the Data Protection Act here. Have contacts at MOJ and FSA and will be referring them especially since the guy who called didn;t seem to know who he worked for stated it was Endowment Misselling Complaint but not whether limited plc or partnership and no mention of EMC or Experiences Connect.
- Caller: Endowment Misselling Complaint ?
- Dave GAsked them to send out documents to claim - documents didn't turn up.
Asked them to explain how they got my information - they wouldn't share.
Now, every time they call they hang up - got to ask yourself why, if they are providing a service from which they earn revenue, they hang up when you answer.
Besides this, if people are commenting they have received £40K from a mis-sold endowment, how did they fill in the mortgage forms if they have the language capabilities of a moronic monkey!
Mmmm… - Elizabeth CartledgeThis number ( 01473 241700) calls me at least once a day, when i answer they just hang up, when i try to call back it just rings out! Very annoying! Any advice on how to block this number?
- KatieHad these morons calling at my house and everytime i answer the phone they keep hanging up. My mums had calls like this before asking for her bank card details they said she could get money back off bank charges. There just a load of crooks that dont have anything else to do then to steal peoples money off them
- John CI have had this company phone us for weeks now. Continually hangs up when I answer the phone. I did ring back to be told that their phone system is buggy (which was a lie) as I have, after another few calls, phoned back again today for them to tell me they will remove me from their automated phone system.
Legitimate company or not I would not use them due to the telemarketing phone system they employ - katrang and when i answered they hung up
- Jeff CroweJust had the second call today - I answer and they hang up.
Is there anyone we can contact who can stop thiese crappy calls? - PaulineI have received about 6 calls this week from that number. Everytime I answer they hang up. I have reported it to nuisance calls and I am arranging to have the number blocked from ringing me.
- Dan parkinsonRecieved 3 calls from them but missed, called them back found out to be
something to the name of EMC advisory services. Claim they can get you money back from mis-sold insurance/endowment or credit protection. I'm not going to endorse them in any way as I dont really know what they can or cant do.
seemed to be polite when I asked them to remove me from their database as I'm the the TPS service. I was told by the advisor that they got my number as I filled out an online quationaire at some point regarding a lifestyle survey.
If they call you I would suggest you ask them to remove you from there database as you are on the TPS service and it is against the telecoms policy to 'cold-call' offering services. Thanks for taking time to read this, Dan.- Caller: EMC Advisory Services
- cherryI have now has 7 calls from this number but none connected (auto dialler) I rang them to see who it was & explained I did not have payment protection, he agreed to remove my tel no & apologised,,,Guess what ? I have had 2 more today. I thought it was illegal to run a dialler so fast ??
- JoThese people are a real a pain - they keep calling and are persistent and very pushy. We don't have a mortgage and haven't had one for many years but this information doesn't seem to stop them trying to claim that I have been missold one in the past. I have no idea where they have my information from because I don't share financial info. They will not take no for an answer so I warn them that I will hang up unless they stop talking - they are invariably still blathering away when I hang up. Next time I'll answer and just leave the phone on the side with the line open.
- HelenAnswer machine message from Bee Preston from Endowment Misselling Advisory Service. May have some good news for me. Dig out Endowment Policy before ringing back and quote reference. Told to call back on 01473 241700.
I did complete a survey a few weeks ago so just cold calling/following up. - Brian Crabbthey called, but I didn't pick up. Looking at the other comments, I made the right choice. Is this annoying or what?
- norma replies to experiences connect limitedYou called me despite the fact I have TPS.
- NeilJust a dead line.......
