Report a phone call from 01612412080 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- KenWe have had numerous calls from the above number, day and nigth. Last night (22/10) at 22.00, during the day we had approx 10 calls, we have caller display and answere machine so we do not answere tha calls now. When we first answered an Indian person stated he was from "The Debt Advisory Council, set up by the Government". He wanted our BANK DETAILs and PIN numbers, we told him where to go in no uncertain terms.
I have spoken with my telephone provider (SKY) and they said they would block the calls and it would cost £4 per month, (they still keep ringing). I have reported this number to the Police, OffCom and Trading Standards. The Police are very interested in this number (01612412080) - JR 31Been called 11 times in last 3 days. Every time I point out that i am ex directory etc.. but they keep trying to talk over me!
These guys are ignorant time wasters with nothing better to do! The authorities and the phone companies offer no help! Maybe I'll just have to come up with inventive ways of answering the phone to them. Barking down the phone next time??- Caller: Debt advice
- david14 calls in 3 days for future reference they are renting premises at 1 steeple drive in manchester anyone close enough feel free to pay them a visit they get really upset at that for some reason and the reason you are getting engaged when calling back is because they are using short life drop lines good for just one call and then a five minute break clever these indians.

untill then XD - LeeIndian sounding chap. As soon as he said the name of the company I asked if he had heard of the Telephone preference service, claimed he hadn't. I pointed out that if he was calling legitimately he should have and would know thathe shouldn't be calling me. He persisted in talking over me arguing that I had got it wrong because he wasn't trying to sell anything and it was a free service, despite me getting ruder and ruder until eventually I gave up and hung up on him.
- Caller: Debt advice Bureau
- MarshdevilSeems to me that everyone has spoke to the Indian Dude
- BazThis number keeps calling me but what the fcuk do i need there help for as only 40 quid in debt
- R BrittainI am constantly getting calls from this number and previously it was just 0301. They claim to legally remove your debts with agovernment backed scheme. I am TPS registered and when I advised this to the Indian Girl on the phone she started arguing on me, I told her I wasnt interested and she still had a rant. I told her to remove my details or I would call the police and register it as a nuisance call and that I was being harassed, I then hung up! TPS Are useless, they dont do anything about it!
- Caller: The Debt Bureau
- Don McCarronJust had three calls in a row. There are two good ways to deal with any nuisance calls -
1) One tell them there's someone at the door and ask them to wait and then just place the phone down quietly beside you.
2) Lead them on for as long as possible and then laugh at them.
Either way you've had fun wasting their time. - JohnThis number has been driving me nuts for weeks now, ringing at all hours of the day and night! Grrr!
I have caller display and never answer any number i don't know, but i'd have thought they'd have stopped by now.
Now i know who they are it's time to have some fun. Hehe! - Neilit is calling me twice in one night, How do we stop these calls as they are now becoming harrasement
- WillHad this muppet call yesterday on 01612412080. Hung up.
They have called this morning on 02031592522.- Caller: Debt management services
- cabotitedThis phone service is provided by Gamma Telecom in UK. Their head office is 1, The Pentangle, Park Street, Newbury, Berks, RG14 1EA. Phone is 044-033-240-3000 and eMail is info@gammatelecom.com
If you phone them to annoy them, use the non-trace prefix of 141 in front of their number. Best to phone them lots of times during office hours and put on a fake Indian accent then talk utter nonsense just to waste their time and block their line. They sell this service to many companies and obviously originate in UK. You can make complaints about them but they will always deny any responsibility as they say they don't themselves make the calls. Best thing to do, and cheapest, is to buy an answerphone then you can hear who is calling before you answer. They also eventually stop calling if all they get is an answerphone message and you must NEVER call them back. - SheenSame call, same as Stu 'Number you have called has not been recognised' is there any way of stopping this?
- SheenWoops i forgot to mention that it did ring once and then it said the number had not ben recognised, I'm thinking it was an answer machine that was playing that message?
- CassandraI am being bombarded by people calling from "The Debt Advisery Company"!! I have repeatedly told them I have NO DEBT and they say they'll remove my number but do not. Last week I had a supervisor put the phone down when I complained and today when I finally decided to tell them to "eff off", the person kept calling me back time and time again hurling abuse at me saying they have never called me before!!!! Thankfully I am moving next week but this is inading my privacy and, to be frank, bloody annoying!!!
