Report a phone call from 01612412080 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- GeraldineFed up!!!!! at least 100 calls over 3 months. I cannot believe that BT can do nothing about it.
- colHad at least 9 calls in the past 4 days from this number, of which about half have been answered by me and politely, then not so politely asking to be removed from the database as I was not interested.
Luckily for me my phone is next to my pc, with volume turned up full and a really annoying tune ready to go he just got a proper ear full at full blast and then hung up on me....wonder if he'll call back? - Lesley Marlerpersistent calls - regular calls 6 times per week- unsolicited and we have told them to STOP ringing
- Caller: debt solver
- MayBI have pasted the following from a similar site to this(phoneownerinfo)
"This is an indian call centre, they are acting on behalf of a panel of debt management UK based companies generating leads, the panel companies are based in and around Manchester. Depending on how you answer the questions decides which of the brokers you are put through to. They use various names to ring you by and it changes every couple of months. No amount of reporting them to TPS will do any good they are outside the UK and therefore the rules do not apply. We reported them to Offcom some months ago and gave them all the details of the broker we were put through to, they are investigating, Watchdog won't do anything again non UK company and difficult to trace. Today they have rung again 3 times using the name Debt Management UK, this is a website associated with a debt management company call Lewis Alexander based in Manchester, but may not be connected.
This number appears to be replacing the previous 0301 https://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/0301 which itself was a replacement for 01163 680044, https://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/01163680044 Apparently all VoIP numbers. The transition is the same, with the old number fading out and the new number taking over.
However, the same spiel is being used. The origin of the call appears to be the same. The trading names being claimed appear to be the same. They include: Credit Council Bureau; Debt Management Bureau; Debt Advisory Bureau; Debt Advisory Board; Debt Advice Agency; Debts Direct; Money Manager; Money Management; The Debt Managers, and; Debt Advice Bureau.
As has been established on these boards, not least by those who have received serial calls with different company names claimed at different times, it is not Debt Advice Bureau Online making any calls. When we became aware of what was going on we put a form to the site - http://www.debtadvicebureau.org.uk/ - so victims could help us try and garner some info on who may be behind the calls, on call traits, etc. We've now had several hundred forms.
It has been reported to us that if you actually bite at what they are selling, it must happen, then you are passed on to someone else ... believed to be another firm altogether.
Since most call recipients indicate they are pedaling IVAs, someone wanting to set some sort of honey trap might be able to ascertain the actual U.K. company these people are generating leads for. The IVA paperwork would certainly have to include the details of the Insolvency Practitioners paying these offshore cold callers.
Until they are stopped, call blocking by your provider or a third party device, such as TrueCall, seems the most effective solution. Asking the caller if you can speak to the supervisor still seems to get them to hang up."
In the meantime, all I can do is let my phone ring unanswered and do 1471 afterwards to make sure I havent ignored family or friends - bloody nuisance! report these numbers on boards and hopefully something will eventually put them out of business.- Caller: "Debt Management UK"
- SHAZThis company has been ringing me for the past 18 m0nths at meal times, childrens nap times etc, I have repeatedly asked them not to call again but to no avail. Being registered with the TPS makes no difference. They ask for a person who does not live here and regularly ring me at least 3-4 times a week and sometimes more than that, I think I will have to change my number as phone provider can't do anything.
- Caller: 01612412080
- JayneSI've had calls from this number repeatedly for the last 6 to 8 weeks each weekI ask them not to call again and remove my details from the calling list - each time they agree btu I keep getting the calls.
I have found a website purporting to be the 'real' debt advice bureau asking for details of the call - which I've sent in the hope the calls may stop.

- DeanThis number rung me, I told them to go away politely and they hung up, I didn't put the phone down to break the connection and it caused all sorts of chaos at the other end, they kept trying to call out and saying hello, then it went onto divert and back again, I just kept silent and stayed on then line for half an hour, next time I'll stay on all night
- Stuart MagrathThese people have been plaguing me for about 2 months now. It all began with the 0301 which was meaningless. I tried telling them I didn't deal with overseas call centres, I had no debts whatsoever, I am dead, Stuart Magrath hasn't lived here for some years, I am bankrupt, I am a multi-millionaire etc etc. Like everyone says, they just don't give up!
Strange thing is, to my knowledge noone I know has had this problem and until I Googled the phone number tonight, I had no idea that I was not alone.
Aw Hell. I am not exactly overpushed for time these days.
Time to have a little fun methinks!!
Anyone got suggestions? Thought I would begin by asking the caller some 'very' personal questions about what his wife is like in the sack!!
Anyone else?? - lisa claredo what i do and leave the phone on the stairs for a good hour, leaving them to wait whilst you get your husband or the person their askin to speak too. Waste my time then i'll waste thiers. The last time they phoned, he asked me a question. I responded no and he rudely put the phone down on me!!!!!! Next time ............
- Chris GI've had three calls today. Indian jobsworth named Raj. Mumbled on about the government and clearing dept. Cancelled the call first time. Second time left it ringing. Third time answered, left the phone connected and left it for five minutes. Hasn't phoned back yet but i'll be ready with plan B.
- Descalled several times, when i told him i was not interested he said it was not ok and if i hung up on him he would call me ten times a day. He was very abusive on the phone-This company needs to be stopped
- johnthese bar stewards ring at least 3 or 4 times a day, asking for my brother who hasnt lived here for 6 years!! i myself have no outstanding debts so I dont know why they keep calling, I usually blow a whistle down the phone to them or ask them if they have any debt, or just repeat what they say. pain in the bloody [***].
- DaveI've just had a call from them and told them to stop calling and they just hung up on me, there must be some way to make a complaint!
- MichaelHad 4 calls today from these ppl plus others during week, tried ringing back but all you get is unavailable or a dead line tone, getting rather P d off with them, am also ex directory and with the tps and still am getting them, ahhhhhhhhhhhrg
- Caller: not known
- DannyStuart Magrath, I like the way you think...! I'm ex-directory and TPS, and still getting these calls, several missed calls on my log today and two silent answering machine messages.
If they phone again, I'm definitely asking him what his wife is like in the sack though, then if he hangs up I'll not. I have my mobile if anyone needs to contact me so no skin off my nose, more hassle for them hopefully. - AlJust received a call from this number - he said 'Hello' and I put the phone down next to my radio so he could listen to some music. Hope he appreciates rock music.
- DJMhad numerous calls from this number, all exactly the same, complete silence then hung up, when I tried to call back continuously engaged
- Stuart MagrathStrange, but since my last post, I have not had a single call!!
I'm beginning to feel ignored now. I have tried ringing them but the line is dead. Thought maybe they had given up but from the above comments, appaarently not!!
